Yesterday was National Sax Day in the USA, It was interesting to hear a song I knew always played by a tenor sax, being played with an alto.. same musician was delivering the song, different date. Each instrument lent a different “story” to the music. I found myself hearing and feeling totally different reactions to the piece. I contemplated on this later… how one person can interpret a song one way with one instrument and yet have it be almost a totally different experience when that same song is delivered with a different instrument .. and at a different time/place.
Like watching a fire burn … beautiful in all its stages, same fire, but always different. hmffpph .. LIFE IS.
Give importance to listening, looking, thinking, doing and speaking. Look and listen carefully before making a judgement. Assumptions and hasty conclusions can lead to misunderstandings
The mind gathers up and stores the many moments we live. Some are easily found .. and others elude us for years till something happens that recalls or brings back that moment in time .. Other moments are dropped into a memory pocket with others, and all we get later is a vague glimpse into… a moment lived/shared.
Make happiness with willingness. People who like to make an effort can enjoy anything. Those who spare no effort for anything and anyone know the joy of making art. Make an effort with willingness.
It’s easier to adapt to something when we find it interesting. No matter how enjoyable a situation is, a slight change in our attitude can make it boring. let’s face any situation with curiosity and enthusiasm.

Change…. we are still in the fall, this snow will likely disappear before the hard core snow arrives, It was so peaceful in the parking lot when I took this picture, Temperatures had dropped, there was no one else around, I was able to take my time and enjoy the moment,
In PL we live with the philosophy that if everyone could learn to express themselves artistically, all the wars around the world would cease, leading to a peaceful society, We believe that in respecting one another and working for each other’s happiness, world peace could be achieved. PL Precept #14 World peace is everything.
Today in PL we have a ceremony (the 1st of each month) called the Day of Peace. it will be held at 10:00 a.m. EST.
Each Person’s peace leads to world peace. First of all, you have to be happy. That happiness will spread and be the foundation of World Peace.
Girls wanna have fun. Remember when we played dress up.. what movies do you watch, what captures your imagination.. Today everyone has license to dress up and have fun, its Halloween. People add colour and fun to their appearance to go to work, wear costumes representing a popular game character, or super hero, there have been parties going on all weekend. You got a costume in mind?
Mother Nature had her own bit of fun, she gave us a sprinkling of snow.

Altho’ the actual date set aside for Halloween is the 31st. I hear on the radio that the parties and gatherings will happen this week-end, If they are not already started, they will be in full swing over the next couple of days. We’ve had rain of late, the beautiful colours that sprang out all around to greet us weeks ago, have faded and many have fallen to the ground from being pelted by the rain.
I spent many happy hours exploring all the creativity that is in SL (Second Life).. entering into the magical world of the many seasonal destinations that the fertile minds the artists in SL have created for the viewer’s enjoyment. Kingston Penitentiary, now closed and opened for tours (at certain times)..not very inviting is it. In our searching out of doors, we learn a lot about the past. Going through the doors of the Pen, would not have given anyone feelings of hope … Looking through the open doorways into what was.. certainly leaves you with a determination not to spend much time there.
Seeing the pictures, leaves me with an appreciation for the life I have had, and that i live and enjoy,
