He wasn’t prepared to stand still for me, I had groceries in my cart, my knapsack and was trying to fiddle with the camera. However you will all recognize Chico the crow, much fatter this season. He and his pals are hanging out in the WalMart parking lot. He did take my bribe of a small piece of dog treat.

I know so many of you have taken wonderful photos of crows and ravens .Let me tell you now.. each time you do, I oooh and awwww…. a friend once told me they hung out in the cemetery across from his land.. their loud choruses and what he called noise, drove him to unkind thoughts. (smile) He is a kind hearted man… the thoughts passed…
There is something mystical about them. Yes there is =^_^= They are watchful, smart, and yes at times naughty, but then aren’t we all. I was heading for church that day. After prayers I would “swear” that Chico flew into the tall evergreen outside the church windows. I saw him.. Rev. Eugene saw him. //P True Rev. E does not know Chico so he couldn’t say if it was the same crow… winks.. but you know what I think don’t you. big smile.
That is my crow story and I’m sticking to it. Do you have a crow story to share?

Birds of a feather post together…
waves, sends a greeting…
We don’t have many ravens, but I love to hear/see them when they do pass by. Cronk!
LOL that was a gentle greeting, I had two chico and his buddy who lived one season, almost in my back yard… they could be very talkative.. believe me the whole neighbourhood, knew when they were home.. they would call for the dogs to come out. That summer was when I really took note of how interactive they can be.
And strikingly intelligent!
