Altho’ the actual date set aside for Halloween is the 31st. I hear on the radio that the parties and gatherings will happen this week-end, If they are not already started, they will be in full swing over the next couple of days. We’ve had rain of late, the beautiful colours that sprang out all around to greet us weeks ago, have faded and many have fallen to the ground from being pelted by the rain.
I spent many happy hours exploring all the creativity that is in SL (Second Life).. entering into the magical world of the many seasonal destinations that the fertile minds the artists in SL have created for the viewer’s enjoyment. The SL pictures above were taken at Pacifique ..http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Pacifique/50/173/3748 the owner and artistic director of these amazing builds is Eclair Martinek.. if you are a player/citizen of Second Life, this is the link that will take you to this delightful build.. If you are a photographer , she has given us many photo opportunities, If you just like to play and have fun, explore .. there are caves, tunnels, scuba diving, a mermaid ballroom, hot air balloons.. and the list goes on.
We are not all going to go out Trick or Treating, but we can treat ourselves to the many offerings that abound at this time of year, Life is to be enjoyed….

Don’t give up! Stick with it, as many times as it takes. Sometimes you want to just throw in the towel and say, “I give up”, but that is the time for you to dig deep and push through. Your sincere effort will invite a good outcome.

Photographs and storyline Q aka me
Portrait picture is of Cheyenne
A hot dry day, finally with Piglet with me in the car, I could park, and walk in off the road to take pictures. This little treasure had caught my eye some time ago, but it was never a good time to park off to the side of the busy roadway, and walk over to where this little house is.
The lot is big enough and shows signs of having had two outdoor “toilets” off to one side. There is also a bigger building, commercial from how it appears. but of course, I only had eyes for the two story charmer. The top has been removed from the ground floor, and placed as you see them. The small doorway is between the building, and has lost its door.
Someone at some time, had, intentions for this little “cottage” It would have been bright and welcoming inside with all those windows. I was surprised that the remains did not have a musty smell. The wood was dry and still had the smell that wood gets when it has been baking in the sun.
Rust has been working on the metal for some time. Building its many layers producing wonderful displays as only rust can. It is not very everyone, but textured materials, remnants of another time, another life, for me are inspiring.
Hope you have enjoyed this little visit to a place on an old road that once was the main highway to the city of Montreal, in the province of Quebec.

reminder, service is at 7 pm this evening.
Driving through the take out lane, I saw the fog was lifting. earlier, not even an hour or so, I could see only two car lengths in front of me
I was heading back towards the city now, with each passing mile, the sky got brighter
bright enough, that I thought to stop to take a picture. Usually I am driving by this site during the work day, and the road is just too busy. I may have mentioned that I have been wanting to get a picture before the whole building disappears. It has happened before, I am driving along a road I travel many times a week when suddenly I realize that a building has disappeared.
The world around me is in constant flux. For some reason, the demolition, began at a time that for whatever reason, I missed it. I happened to go to the post office one day (it is across from this location) and when I drove out, it was a “WOW when did that happen???” That was in the fall, and here it is February of the following year, and there it still stands.
I did see an opening in the fence. However, my common sense, held me in check. No hard hat, and not wearing my steel toed footwear. Maybe I’ll get a chance another day. LOL if I were to find rust I would be in 7th heaven.
This adventure took place last week, today, I am looking forward to what’s ahead.
PL Calendar 18 Â Â Look Forward to What’s Ahead.
There is no use brooding over the past. Always try to begin each day anew with a fresh outlook.
What a good teaching to start a new week. Hope everyone is enjoying a long week-end, and is revving up for a stunning brand new week.

To walk where no one has walked before
I wish, =^_^= but I was the one to make a new trail
down an unused road, that led me to another time
a family home, once filled with laughter
now stands silent, waiting
this was not the structure tho’ that had caught my attention
rather I was drawn to a building that called out
to my searching ” eyes”
“look, look, see my charm”, I got a picture in full sunlight
but this one with the little building half in the shade
I found had more to say
I sensed this is where the children played
on rainy days, on sunny days
this little structure captured and ignited
their imagination in every way
this pretty face
was also part of yesterday =^_^=
It was an amazing day !!!
In PL (Perfect Liberty) we do our best to live each day doing our best to be creative in every way. Make every day count, rain, snow, sunshine, it doesn’t matter. Do your best every day.

I’ve always enjoyed driving by this building, on this particular day, I was drawn to it, the sky behind, the sprinkle of snow…. it was eye-catching. It has a practical use I’m sure, never-the-less it was “king for the day” in my day of photo possibilities.
A moment in time capture in a lens, without the surrounding buildings, or traffic on the roads, it could be on a desolate patch of land, in an abandoned airport.. Loved it.. Hope you find it stirs your imaginations too.
Happy Thursday everyone… PL Precept # 2Â To Live is to Express One’s Self

Had to get a closer look. Â Around the block we drove, so I could really see t his entrance way to a church we saw along the way
Nice colours used in the stained glass…I like the simplicity of it.
——————————————————————————————————————————————-
This entrance was hidden, but I was determined to get  a closer look.  the building appealed to me, we are trying to get more information on it.  Hwy 3, NY State going towards Watertown.  It is not always easy getting the real estate people to call us back…
Some of you are really good at search and find, this is the real estate agent of note.. there was another sign, but it was long over grown with vegetation.
OK so it isn’t everyone’s idea of “turn-key” Â and it doesn’t have the greatest “curb appeal” Â To each his/her own, right.
I see a ton of possibility, AND it sets my mind to “dreaming” of what was, and what could be…
Never give up on your dreams. Â always look for the “something” that appeals to you. Â It isn’t about what others may want, it is what “speaks to you”

ps. I was feeling rather sluggish with the weather today, happy, but draggin.. then I started to work on this blog, sharing with you,  I was pulling out my pictures of this latest “find” of mine.  I couldn’t help it, my heart took wings, a smile as broad as my face plastered itself across my “pus”  this building makes me smile, what can I say, the old weathered wood, the placement of the windows on the second story, watching out on the busy hwy.
The building was at an intersection, the sign was really too faded to read, but we thought we saw the word mini.. could have been a convenience store. Â Certainly there was ample parking. Â Yeah life is good. =^_^=
Blessings of the day to everyone… May you find peace and happiness, and your smile shine like a beacon of light for all who meet up with you today.
