ocean clean up

I just finished watching a video for the second time.  I enjoyed it the first time I viewed it, and again today.

ocean clean up

Since seeing clips on this project, I have been even more aware than ever, on how disrespectful we have been in how we rid ourselves of waste materials.

Please, let us work together towards a cleaner environment.

Use the present as a starting point, to move forward towards improvements and progress.  Happy start towards a productive new week.

quiet reflection

a moment of silence

a prayer for peace

a prayer for understanding

join in prayer today

reach out

show you care

kindness, love and compassion

communications that come from the heart

is how we start

to do our part

world peace

begins with us

we can make a difference

Believe, have faith

it can be done

seasons come and go

“life is art”

sadness

fesrival winds bondi beach

look at the sad face

soon he’ll be soaring above the clouds

but at this moment, he looks so sad..

for a fleeting moment

a memory pierced my heart

a wink, a blink of an eye

a treasured moment

flashes before unsuspecting eyes

the colour of blue,

a bluejay’s call

transports your heart

to another port of call

the sad dog will soon fly

or could it be, he has just returned

from playing in the clouds

an emotion waits in the wings

tomorrow is another day

precious puppy will you stay

or will the winds

lift and carry you away

I will pray

God will keep you safe

and take the sadness away

tired takes on new meaning

dragon soft

This was a picture a did a while back.  I titled it, Dragon Soft, you’ve  seen it before shortly after I painted it.  As sometimes happens, I paint something put it away, and don’t look at it again, till doing something else I come across it.

Today we are moving into several weeks into the journey of our cancer voyage.  Each day is a new day, nd every day, I am blessed with the kind words, and messages of friends who remind me that they are holding us in their prayers and sending healing vibes our way.

It is an amazing feeling to know that there is such caring and thoughtfulness surrounding us.  I appreciate it especially when out of the blue, I am struck down with an over-whelming feeling of “tired”.  It is like nothing I’ve ever known, and I really can’t describe it.  Everything just seems to grind to a halt.. and I NEED.. to sit down, close my eyes, and just wait for the moment to pass.

When my husband is out, I find I’m waiting for him to come home, just so I know he is safe.  I know that over the course of the next weeks, even months.. I will be inconsistent with my blog.  I beg your patience.  I am eternally grateful for your continued friendships and support.

whippet love

velcro 8.26.17

Usually Velcro will nestle down into his blankets for his night-time sleep.  This is our boy now that he wants to make sure his “Mom” is OK.   He positions himself where he can make sure I’m alright, and if I move or get up.. he’s watching and listening.  We both miss our Canaille.

Keeper c 8.23.17This beautiful gal is one of the whippets we visited the other day.   Look how amazing her colouring is.  Her top coat a soft fawn, with a delightful pattern of dots showing through.  There is something very  humbling about how a dog will engage in an interaction with  a human.  She is standing here with her trainer, happy to share the limelight with him.  Unconditional love.

It wasn’t till we adopted Velcro that we discovered the world of whippets and sight hounds.

When we open our hearts and lives to new possibilities, it is always amazing to discover that there is love all around.

My husband and I thank each and every one of you, your prayers, and thoughtfulness is greatly appreciated.  He has begun seeing the medical team that will be working with him over the next weeks and months.  Keep those prayers and healing energies coming this way. =^_^=  There is love in prayer, Oyashikiri… God is love…. After a visit to one of the hospitals I’m  truly overwhelmed at the number of “sick” people contained in a maze of corridors and multiple floors.  This being only one of the large hospitals in this city.

In Japan one of the wellness programs they introduced was to spend more time with and around trees.  I guess this came out in the early 80’s  Japan in known for its spring time blossoms, people flock to the parks to take pictures and enjoy the refreshing ambiance of trees in early bloom.

Not spending a lot of time confined to a hospital, or home environment it is  an eye opener to visit one of these places.  Yes my Mother had been hospitalized, but my attendance there was focused on my Mother, and where I would have noticed or seen that the place was humming with activity and a lot of people, the thought came and went.  Today I had  occasion to have to track down my sister-in-law, she had been moved from the area I had been told she would be in.  The hospital is big it has grown and expanded over the years, even staff were not sure exactly where or how to get to certain rooms, didn’t help that you had to know if you were in the right “section” never mind floor.  Like a Chinese menu, there are  multiple choices.

I came away with the determination to work harder at obtaining and maintaining a good health report card.  Like most, I can cheat at sneaking in a dessert or extra starchy snack, now I have a visual reminder of where I do not want to be.

What about you…   are you setting attainable goals, then sticking to them?

PL Principle #8   I will not have a mind to be greedy

PL Principle # 2  I will not have complaints about others, matters, nor the weather,  Rather I will always be creative and will look for shortcomings in my own thinking and actions.

Spring yay!

To walk where no one has walked before

P1000645

I wish, =^_^= but I was the one to make a new trail

down an unused road, that led me to another time

P1000643

a family home, once filled with laughter

now stands silent, waiting

this was not the structure tho’ that had caught my attention

rather I was drawn to a building that called out

to my searching ” eyes”

P1000641

“look, look, see my charm”, I got a picture in full sunlight

but this one with the little building half in the shade

I found had more to say

I sensed this is where the children played

on rainy days, on sunny days

this little structure captured and ignited

their imagination in every way

P1000659

this pretty face

was also part of yesterday =^_^=

It was an amazing day !!!

In PL (Perfect Liberty) we do our best to live each day doing our best to be creative in every way.  Make every day count, rain, snow, sunshine, it doesn’t matter. Do your best every day.
