Day of Peace

Abide in me, and I in you.

John 15:4

Don’t hesitate to show kindness to others. Do you ever find yourself hesitating to show kindness to someone? It is when you put your thoughts into action that you can show others what is in your heart.

special prayers 7:pm

10:12 and it is still snowing – Nikon doesn’t like being outside when it is snowing.

Good morning everyone. After reading my incoming this morning, and taking a few calls .. I have decided that this evening I will do special prayers at 7:pm EST. I will begin with the PL Prayer, and then do a short prayer, giving thanks and appreciation for all that we have experienced since the start of the new year. For the friends in the community that are dealing with extra “stress” challenges/opportunities, I will ask that the spirit of calm, and gentle goodness surround us while we pray for our loved ones and our concerns.

PL Precept # 11 Always be with God.

Please set aside a good twenty minutes. Find a place where you can sit comfortably , those of you with your own Omitama or Aramitama can do your usual salutation. Then sit quitely and gather your thoughts. We will begin with the PL Prayer, and then after a few seconds of quiet reflection, I will begin the special prayer … Before standing and returning to your normal activities, please take the time, to say “thank you” and to send your love/caring thoughts to those who have joined in our prayers.

Thank you everyone for sharing in this special evening of prayer.

PL Precept # 10 Love yourself and others.

PL Precept # 15 All is a mirror

Hospitals are crowded, people we know and don’t know are stressed and anxious. Let us join together in positive action. Let us Pray.

If you are reading this and can translate it for me in Portuguese for our members in Brazil, it will be much appreciated.

I am getting better at just enjoying being there with them. I do try to whip out the camera and have it ready, it just never seems to “happen” .. I’ll get better =^_^=

it pleases me to see them using the “tables” I put out for them. the frog is an S hook that is holding another feeder.

The Nikon is bigger than my Canon, I’m still learning how to hold it, and work the “buttons” etc. It has a greater telescopic capacity than my Canon, & they handle very differently. My fingers get really cold, I’ll get better with time. Meanwhile, I am enjoying being out in the fresh air, and sharing time and space with the woodland community. They are each so different in how they “dine”… I’m surprised by the “calm” nature of the woodpecker… It seems that nothing ruffles his/her feathers.. its been very interesting, watching the dynamics that play out.

View your difficulties as a chance to make rapid progress. You grow by overcoming the obstacles in front of you, one by one. Look at your problems as opportunities for growth and make the best of your situation.

A little fun in the wee hours, however, my wish is that you have the most stunning day ever. Whatever, where-ever live the moment, cherish the day. Reach out and share a smile, make a phone call, say Thank YOU. I am grateful, I say it to you time and time again, … you bring much into my life. Distance is an illusion when it comes to “friendships”.. in this age of “internet” we have discovered ways to share thoughts, visions, stories, and .. list is endless, we have much to be thankful for.

Enjoy, find and do what makes you happy! Make memories.

no dashing thru snow

crisp and clear

With the lock down just a few days away, I forced myself to get up and out early enough to miss the regular shoppers. After dropping off a bag for the food bank, I began to shop for the next couple of week. Unusual for me is soup… lots of soups.. I’ve lost my appetite, for whatever reason, I don’t seem to want to cook. The last two grocery trips, have seen me stocking up on canned goods. Yes even veggies! Me, who always wanted fresh so I could steam and cook them just the way I like them. I now have cans of veggies on my counter waiting to be put away. OK selective, I only like a couple of standard veggies … at one time I would have turned my nose up at any canned vegetable. Preferring if not fresh, than frozen.

Age, the pandemic, isolation, whatever it is… the desire for a fresh salad, or a steamed side dish of broccoli or cauliflower has poofed. I’m opening cans of French style green beans, or south western kernel corn and eating right from the can!!!! how gross is that. I even got tins of mixed peas and carrots. I grudgingly have to admit, at this time in my life, I’m enjoying them. repeat Cold right out of the can. Thank goodness my Mother is not around to read this, and if I’m lucky my sister will not read today’s post. We all have to adapt. Breakfast is Irish oatmeal with buttermilk and some banana.

LOL as a friend once said, he looks at the picture(s) especially if there is too much text!

Be a person who can recognize the sincerity of others. when you put your whole heart into things you will be able to notice the sincere acts of others in the subtle things they do and appreciate them that much more.

The shortcut to progress is to listen with a humble mind. If you are stuck in your own ways, you will eventually become bogged down. Let’s remember to be humble, learning what we can f rom the knowledge, advice and suggestions of others.

Saying Goodbye

R.I.P

With gratitude and appreciation in our hearts, we say goodbye to a man who touched our lives in a way that with his passing left us with a profound grief, yet filled with a joy that his spirit will be with us always.

Life is art –

Perfect Liberty – Precept #1

Oshieoya-Sama (Master Takahito Miki) lived the PL Way, and through his example, we (each and every member) benefited. We said/say goodbye, but it is only at the loss of his physical presence, for he will live through the teachings of PL. PL teaches us that every day is a new beginning.

We must continue to strive to live as ONE with the Universe, and work towards World Peace.

a quiet reflection

allow your heart to mend

we sometimes don’t realize just how “busy” we are… or how “noisy” our mind can be.

I awoke to the white sounds around me, gentle, steady, familiar, yet constant and comforting. Still, only in sleep do they disappear from my conscious awareness, to be replaced by the chatter of unknown voices, electronic media, and traffic during the day when I am away from home.

Every man takes the limits of his own field of vision for the limits of the word

Arthur Schopenhauer

The search for God is the riding around on an ox, hunting for the ox.

Buddhist proverb

Today I will think about what is important in my life. Beginning with gratitude for now. YOU are part of my now, for this I am so blessed.

memories-gratitude

a happy place

there is something special about photographs that recall a moment in time

pictures that take us back to another time and place. When I found these pictures yesterday, I wondered if I could ever find them again. Computers are amazing wonders. I don’t know how often I’ve changed computers since these were taken, I’ve lost count. Yet, here they were on my screen popping up from files that the software genie had compiled.

I no longer questions how these things happen, the Universe has a way of delivering these little “presents” when I least expect it. I say thank YOU and feel gratitude for the discovery.

With the Thanksgiving week-end having just passed (Canadian) I got to spend a lot of time with memories as i looked over all the pictures. The pictures dated back to the early 2000’s A lot has happened since then. Seeing my Mother, sisters, family pets, in-laws, gave me much time for reflection. Of course, constant in all of them was my husband, it was his love and dedication to our “lives” that enabled much of what i got to see and live during the years he was here on earth with us.

It was a reminder not to squander the time we have here on earth.. it is a beautiful environment, and meant to be enjoyed, Friends, family, people we meet all have a purpose…We are all ONE….

We are all represented in Nature, we can be different seasons, different species, but we are all here to co-exist. It is time to focus on World Peace.

When you think “I’ve got it” think again. It is easy to misinterpret the situation and jump to conclusions. Always have a humble attitude and double check to make sure.
