Tuesday

Some days we just want to go back to bed

But

it is not a luxury we can afford

so, we get up and soldier on

hopefully you will listen to what a I am going to say

Always be true to yourself – because you can never escape the inner YOU

mid week

Quiet the judgements of yourself and others.

Yesterday…. I drove to my current “fav” place to zone. I saw a pile of ? in the area that is very rocky … against the dumped rocks .. whatever it was. .. stood out… I live in a major city, in a Province that is in eastern Canada… Its late summer, coming into early fall, If you know our geography here, its lush vegetation, … the fall colours are starting to show.. our ordinary if there such a thing as an ordinary rock, is dark earth tones. This blob … stood out…

This is what I found.

My first reaction was “what” another person using the natural environment as a dump. (negative reaction) then… I saw before me… a treasure of sea shells. this is a picture of what I left behind. I spent a happy few “minutes” discovering wonders from the sea.. it was like finding a treasure chest.

postive/negative

Cheers everyone!

Did you know needle felting is done with sheep’s wool, after the sheep is sheared, the wool is processed into roving… I spent years chasing after the product before it became easily accessible, when felting became a skill that was more popular. On the left is one of the dancers I made when I was with the Canadian leg of an American one of a kind Art Doll group.

I was reflecting not long ago on how now when I drive country roads, I no longer see farm animals grazing peacefully in the fields. I even thought back to a very distant memory when the first home my parents bought had a coal bin, in the basement.

Memories are something that creep into our lives when we least expect them to, and when our thought process is not always ready to accept or understand why.. they are surfacing.

In PL we have a precept that you see me use often.

PL Precept # 18 Each moment is a turning point

My life has been long, busy, and very full. I reflect at times, at how my life experiences have brought me to where I am today.

Have you seen one of my post … on FB .. where I use a sign that reads…

In my younger years, we made things out off whatever we could find to create what we were trying to express … or for instance make something we needed or wanted, because unlike today, we couldn’t just go to a shop and purchase something.

With all this technology today (and believe me, let something happen to my keyboard or mouse!! you want to see panic!!) are we inundated with too much…???

We are all so accepting of credit cards, cell phones that are carried everywhere, … let me ask…. do you ever want a quieter easier less frantic lifestyle.. do you know what it is to have a peaceful lazy day where you don’t experience quilt if you set aside time just for YOU.??

PL Precept #20 Live maintaining equilibrium between mind and matter

Yesterday I had a moment of sitting in a tree, on an upper branch that held two of us… the moment was breath taking. The visual of that moment was for me…. simply awesome..

I think having awesome moments in this day and age… is utterly fantastic.

Here is wishing you such moments… everyone deserves them!!!

Have a happy day everyone

In the church’s March newsletter, there was a paragraph, that I think bears repeating.

“Money and material things are materials for our self expression What matters is how effectively we use them, how we use them for the sake of life and for others, and whether our way of using them brings joy not only to ourselves but also the people around us.”

  • and aside…. how many of you own or use a cell phone.??? I was crazy happy when I started using one. Coming from a time when there was only a land line, IF that… to having a ‘phone” in my pocket… >>>>Swoon <<<<
  • Fast forward to 2026….. grrrrrr, I want to lock it in a drawer where I can’t see it or hear it.. Natter … . aggressive, noisy, constantly trying to interfere with my peace and quiet. Remind me, why do I need my mail inbox on my cell phone????
  • And what is it with saving everything even if you don’t want to… why am I supposed to have a filing system in a “cloud”

Smiles sweetly at you… Ok rant is over for now.. this is Saturday morning, and we are having a long week-end.

OH, there is the beeping of a truck backing up… someone is moving.. in or out I don’t know.. hopefully the rain will hold off for them. time for me to move along Have a grand day !!!! I am working on mine.

By the way if you follow me on FB… I have started to put a mini post in the visual posts that last only 24 hours. I am enjoying the creativity of using the “characters/personalities” i develop in SL using avatars. and Eastern philosophy.

Saturday

why

Why do some plants do well and others “just survive” – same question applied to other situations… do you find yourself asking yourself “why” some thing bothers you one day, and not the next?

The cats thinks we should just eliminate the word “why” from our vocabulary. To Quincy and Quinn… life simply IS… they deal with it. I’m learning.

I woke and thought today was tomorrow and planned accordingly, only to realize that today is not tomorrow – so I adjusted.

How is your day going?

Thus my post on FB earlier..

8-8

Today is the 8th day of the 8 th. month,

An astrological and numerological alignment symbolizing infinite abundance power, and new beginnings. (Lion’s Gate Portal)

It is now 8 a.m. on the 8th day of the 8th month. In Numerology 888 .. infinity symbol..dates like August 8th. compound this energy of balance, success and infinite potential.

In Biblical symbolism 8 represents a fresh start, resurrection and new beginnings.

So………………. I’m thinking……………… this is going to be a great day!
