Happiness after a hard-fought game. Sorry Ottawa, but, Yay Penguins. Sid you are the best! born in Halifax, Canada, he is an amazing player, all round professional who earns the accolades he gets.
Somewhere along the way, I became a den mother to three dolls. I wouldn’t swear to it, but I think Tanya* had something to do with it. I went from finding a doll that kinda reached out to me, to have two more who like being dressed and combed. Do you think this has anything to do with as a parent I was a Mother to a very talented young boy, who grew up to be a gem of a son.
I was part of a group of artistic souls who made one of a kind dolls. We scoffed at the ladies who played dress up with the young dolls as shown above. Preferring our out of the box, one of a kind creations. One should never say never, we simply do not know what lies ahead for us. Or how we end up somewhere we had no idea that it was a direction we were going.
The small cloth doll you see, in the middle is one I made when I was sewing and felting,I was trying to combine the fibre for felting with scrap material I had. My own version of a rag doll.
Salmon pasta salad made with fresh vegetables. Red sockeye salmon, tad mayo, and dash of Himalayan salt. Tempting me to go have my dinner.
Happy week-end to everyone, a long week-end to my American friends, and a busy walk/run week-end here in Ottawa, lots of events going on…
Oyashikiri – Blessings !
Good morning…. Bom dia, Obviously the playground I posted pictures of the other day, stayed with me.
Remember this… There is something playful about the design, I’m not usually drawn to bugs and the like. Yet last night I found myself playing with the liquid acrylics and delighting in watching the shapes take shape.
If asked to do something whimsical, I would be hard pressed to come up with something, I consider myself to be more abstract.
Oh dear am I in a philosophical mood today, let me see.. today is the 14th. hmmm Hearts and Flowers day. I can show you my totally not dry yet heart, cuz I’m trying a new medium that takes forever to dry, like 72 hours or more before it is totally dry and finished reacting with itself. Oh dear I can smell it, but don’t see it, where did I put it..
Sorry I didn’t crop the picture, just snapped it with the handy iPhone. That black stuff is something I got yesterday, now I know why the gal suggested I might prefer clear or a white. It supposedly contains the liquid medium. They tell us not to marry up with your first impression of what you do cuz as it reacts with itself, what you see will change.
There is a mixture that is very liquid, called Vitrail (pebeo) one that is ceramic, one called Fantasy Moon, and one other in the Fantasy line called Prismo. When mixed together they all have their own way of interacting with the other.. In theory if you know what you are doing, you can create wonderful fantasy pieces.
I am very new to this product, days if that.. AND no one I know uses it.. so it is a trial and error process. That black I got yesterday and is called relief outliner. All this to say, Good Morning, how are you.. I’m doing fine.
Today’s PL calendar (if you need one, contact me) says… Work Happily with Good Rhythm can you hear me humming =^_^=
Here we go, romantic picture, dancing in the Universe, carefree and happy. I wish each and every one of you, a day filled with love and appreciation.
Never give up on your dreams, always remember that each moment is a lifetime, live NOW
PL Precept #1 Life is Art
We really are so blessed that we have the creative ability in each and every one of us to be ONE with the Universe…. always & forever…
I love many of the minion cartoons, not all, but most. I confess, some I don’t get the humour at all. And then, others like this one, connect with me right away.
We all have the freedom of choice, some of us exercise that right, another can be passive about the world around them, however, I’ve learned that passive does not mean indifferent.
My personality is what it is. I now know after living all these years with my “self” that to others I can be not only opinionated, but stubborn. Do I think of myself as being stubborn, no, do I think I’m opinionated, no…. BUT… if the other person’s reality is that I am. Then guess what…in my interactions with that person, I have not responded in a way that encouraged communication, or in turn, they find me to be stubborn and opinionated, because I don’t agree with them. Fun eh!
The only person I have control over, or can change, is MYSELF.
Every day is a lesson in .. living life to its fullest potential, to do my best when sharing with others to bring happiness and a smile, whenever I can. I like being happy, and tend to remove myself when I meet up continuously with negativity.
It is not easy to walk away, or take a stand, but, mental health, and our ability to cope with some of the negative energy that bombards us each day, is just as important as being heart healthy..A healthy positive and loving spirit, will go a long way, in seeing daily rewards grow.
some realities are very different from our own
we can never comprehend
until we walk in that other person’s shoes
other realities are lived in our daily lives
only they exist where not everyone
can participate or enjoy
we all have these very private moments
whether in a tree
or in a crowed scene
they belong to us.
we do live them
and they form the personality
that blooms and is seen
by those around us
our realties, when we are alone
can be disquieting
at such times,
we call upon our inner strength
we need only recall the
happy times, and how we thrived
we survived to live another day
to know happiness, means
we have known sorrow
Life is a balance
The only constant is change
Namaste – Oyashikiri
found on the side of a road in Japan.
sometimes near a park , sometimes not
what can I say
two wild and crazy guys
traveling with us in Japan
a shop along the way
a place to pray and meditate
seen from the window of the bullet train
as we flew by on tracks of iron
as if it was yesterday
the energy and drive
remains with me today
we came from lands far away
to learn and to pray
what I found most amazing
was that these teachers spoke not one word of English
The majority of the listeners
spoke (Brazilian)Portuguese, Spanish and a very few of us English
we gathered to pray for World Peace
to this day
the energy from this last visit
drives me to work harder every day
to become a better person
one who can dedicate and focus on
living in a way to bring about
In Japan while there, it was hot the vegetation was lush
it was growing everywhere
where ever there was space
the green buds would push their way towards the light
LOVE is what nurtures growth
LOVE is what will see us through
LOVE should be part of everything we do
LOVE is beautiful
LOVE IS YOU
