Too many subjects, and no one wanted to just sit still. It was hot, I didn’t make it before 8, but I did get there around 8:30 maybe.. already the birds were getting ready for their siestas.. they were lazily drifting, sunning, winding down, there was a breeze but not much to speak of. The squirrels and chipmunks were like bandits coming out of the greenery at every corner to see if you had anything for them. Some were very bold, actually thought one or two would step on my toes.

I left the area, and was not 10 minutes away when the sky opened up and it began to pour. Not just drizzle, it rained hard and furious. Lasted maybe 15 – 20 minutes and then it stopped. I wondered what the residents of Mud Lake would have done .. when the rain began. If they are drifting along with the current, basking in the sun, and it begins to rain… do they care???
Enjoy the moment while you wait. Things come about when they are meant to happen. Think of what you can do for the time being, and don’t rush the outcome.

LOVE the ducks!
thanks.. they are so darling, I’m tempted to try to pet one, but of course I wouldn’t do that, nor would they let me that close.. altho’ a couple of them were pretty confident…
Yeah. You might get nipped.
What a gorgeous wood duck! I’ve never seen one in person. You’re very lucky.
they are beautiful aren’t they .. the female is not as striking, but I like her patterns.. sends virtual hug!
