Standing Still

Frozen in Time – sculpted out of wire,apoxie sculpt and fabric this garden fairy likes her crystals, she carries them with her so that the sun and day light will catch and reflect prisms of colour all around her. The stump she stands on was part of a tree she used to love for the shade it provided on the hot summer days. She came inside one year, to grace the mantel, to this day she is still there. There is a window there, and during the bright winter days, when the sun comes shining through … her garland dances sending a rainbow of colour through the room.

Do we stand still in life, or do we constantly want to be on the move? Lately I’ve been forced to spend more time.. standing still… LOL or should I say, having a lie down =^_^=

Like the garden fairy with her crystals, when the dust gathers on her beads, the rainbow of colours is less dazzling. When she was outside, Mother Nature, bathed her in spring, summer and fall with showers, pelting rains and blew soft whispers of breeze through her strand of crystals.

When we stop and allow the world around us to “really be seen” It is surprising what we “see” and realize about where we are in life, and how we are coping with the realities.

Have the courage to really look at where you are, have you been standing still? Is dust gathering on “your crystals”

Prayer is our garland of light, the Universe speaks to us everyday, and in many ways. It is in mindfulness that we
hear and see the Divine connection.

Sometimes in life we need to slip away from the challenges in RL (Real world) and allow our creativity to recharge. Oh OH, caught Q trying to sneak up to the ice cream vendor. Here one can indulge and not have repercussion (blood sugar levels) =^_^=

There are hobbit buildings where Tabitha showcases, her wonderful Victorian furniture and outfits. There are a ton of places to explore, and if like me you like to take photographs, there is a wide variety of interesting places to capture on disk. You get to try out different environment settings. Virtual photography like anything else,takes some adjusting to, but once you get the hang of it, results are rewarding. This thought process applies to how we live our lives too! When we cheat, sneak a “shouldn’t have” it is our bodies that suffer, it is me.I. self. that pays the price. Choices. My inner voice is always right, I have to learn to trust it more, listen carefully to what I’m hearing, not hear what I want to hear. There is a difference.

In Pl we are encouraged to stay in tune with the times. Virtual worlds are here and have been now for awhile. In world, we get to meet people from all over the world. We can socialize, or explore on our own, there is no escaping that the experience of being in a virtual world broadens our horizons. If you are yourself creative, the possibilities are endless.

Did you know that there is a small building in Second Life dedicated to the study and practice of /on the philosophy of Perfect Liberty? If ever you wanted to meet with one of the ministers, you can do so in Second Life. =^_^= Today I am going to move the church to another building. Once I’m done doing that, I will post the new location for you.

Rev. Goto the minister in New York for the Church of Perfect Liberty, sent out his newsletter recently. In it, he said “PL teachings don’t exist in a far away world, but in the daily movements of our lives” That quote he used, really resonated with me. I so truly believe that God is with us in everything we do. I have found SL to be a wonderful learning tool, I have found and learned some profound lessons through being a member of this virtual world. When we are open to life and its lessons, we are blessed with the experience and wonder of the journey.

PL lesson from the 14th

Take care of Things One by One as They Come
It is the best timing to do something .. as soon as you notice it..Take action right away without hesitation.

What was I doing that I missed this lesson on the PL calendar yesterday, Ah yes, I was living my day, dealing with the challenges that are currently littering my day to day.

Hmmm how do I feel about that. Let me think .closes eyes and takes time to reflect and think. Leans back in her chair and allows the emotions and thoughts to come forward.

What came to mind? Yesterday was yesterday, and today will be today, I feel stronger today, the changes I’ve been working on making are starting to see results.

I give thanks to all my friends and support system for through all ups and downs, you have been there for me. Especially my husband, wow, he is such a treasure. Most of all, Rev. Eugene and Rev. Goto have helped me stay in touch with the Divine and Universal Healer, GOD/TAO

This next is materialistic, however, it shows that GOD is in every thought and moment in our lives. Being diabetic I have “need to do” things in my everyday, now one is going out regularly to the pharmacy for Blood Pressure monitoring.
With the weather starting to get colder, I no longer should be running around with just my shoes on.
I wanted a pair of low cut boots that had a fur lining or thermal inside so that I can keep my feet warm. I was in and out of the store in less than 20 minutes. A record I think. I saw the boots, tried them, they fit, in fact were perfect for what I wanted. What drew me to the boots, The company logo. On a plain white backing are the words, “for the world you walk in, Love what you wear”

What can I say, they spoke to me =^_^= I’m going to have a good day, I hope you are too.

A Testimony from Spain

This is the” voice” of a PL member in Spain, I have left her words her own, I hope it touches you as much as it touched me to read what she has to day. Today at church, I talked of appreciation, and now this evening I have her email, that reaffirms to me how valuable living in Perfect Liberty is.

I entered in PL the 24th of October of 2009, thanks to a fellow worker and great friend Maria del Carmen Larios, who had returned to Spain her country after 15 years in Argentina. I net Maria del Carmen because she gave me classes of how develop better my business in Madrid, every class I observed her the way she moves and talks and how she acts doing things very different from the others, with a full philosophy of attitude, with love, generosity, being useful to the others never waiting anything back from others.

That power, that big example called totally my attention, besides other leaders from our company never taught us so big and so splendid, they always expect something back from us. She always told us to be better to the society, taking a message of hope, harmony, well-being and she always taught us that everything is possible if it is done with “Art”.

I remember that many afternoons I asked her about her philosophy of life and talk about PL for hours, she said to me that it was thanks to the practice of a Japanese religion, call PL.

I astonished myself reading the prayers book and the newspapers she showed me those days. She started to share with me the PL lessons and principles. Thanks to PL I have been able to totally understand, experience the FAITH, because I come from a catholic religious education and even I always have faith I could not understand it the way I do it now.

After some months Maria del Carmen started to spread the PL religion with other colleagues and we all love it, she has done it so strongly and with so much affection that we all have began to have a better life practicing this religion. We meet once a week in our office to pray and to receive knowledge of PL. Maria del Carmen is a big example and she shares her art with us.

Thanks to PL I am much happier in life, I always love life but during the last 3 years I got divorced and it was hard to handle because my divorce has being traumatic, long process and painful. My 8 years old son is also a PL member and thanks to PL we are going through this process with love and hope. Both of us feel the Oshieoya-sama blessings every day.

I have being in Japan this summer for the Rensei and it has being the more extraordinary experience I have ever had in life. I have no words to explain the experience but definitively every member of PL should have the dream and bless of being once there. It has being the first time in PL history that a caravan of 6 Spanish people go to Seichi Japan. These has being possible thanks to Maria del Carmen´s and Sensei Mizunoe blessings and effort. Thank you to all members of PL for your prayers and well doing.

Thank you Ana for sharing your “heart” with us. Thank Maria and say hello to everyone in Spain for us. I hope to get to see you in the new year.

Shadows and light

A photographer, I’m in love with shadows and light, they can do amazing things to an otherwise ordinary “picture”
How we perceive our lives is also often coloured by the “shadows and light” in our minds.

Take time very day to “view” your ” situation” in various light, shading, and angles, the complexities of life can be awesome, or dreary, it is all in how you “view” them.

PL teaching > Let’s be Simple and Straight Forward with Our Expressions. If you hold your feelings in, you will always be filled with worry. Always make efforts to express yourself freely so you can live with a clear state of mind.

October 13

I had such a happy excursion yesterday. My husband with the two dogs, did some touring around the countryside near home. It was a simply fantastic day! What can I say, not much, I’d rather some the pictures with you…

Even in the last days of its bloom, this flower is an expression of nature’s glory.

Nature’s colour palette is filled with the richness of the shades that so brilliantly say “autumn”

Old markers in a newly discovered (to me) historic cemetery beckoned to me from the road, I had to explore. The older the cemetery, the more serene. With the dazzling sunshine, and dappled shade this one was lovely.

A tribute of another time, still sits proudly on a marker, its beauty may be faded, but it still exudes pulchritude and charm

The riot of colour that filled my day had me exhilarated and filled with a joy that was near to bursting. I love Canada and the four season it offers.

God resides in a prayerful Mind….. Evidence of the “Master’s” creativity was on full display yesterday. From pictures I saw being posted yesterday on FB
(Facebook) we were not alone in our rediscovery of the knockout day available to us yesterday. Every day is filled with new discoveries.

TWAS THE NIGHT OF THANKSGIVING,
BUT I JUST COULDN’T SLEEP.
I TRIED COUNTING BACKWARDS,

I FELT MYSELF SWELLING SO PLUMP AND SO ROUND,
‘TIL ALL OF A SUDDEN, I ROSE OFF THE GROUND.
I CRASHED THROUGH THE CEILING, FLOATING INTO THE SKY,
WITH A MOUTHFUL OF PUDDING AND A HANDFUL OF PIE.
BUT, I MANAGED TO YELL AS I SOARED PAST THE TREES….
HAPPY EATING TO ALL – PASS THE CRANBERRIES, PLEASE.
MAY YOUR STUFFING BE TASTY,
MAY YOUR TURKEY BE PLUMP.

Rev. Tiago shares a “musical moment”

Rev. Tiago is a young minister from Brazil who is now serving in the Ottawa church of Perfect Liberty. Reflecting on creativity and “happiness”, he shares the following. (I have kept his text and wording, Rev. Tiago speaks Portuguese,Spanish,French, is learning Japanese and English, my time spent talking with him, has always been bright, and informative, he is so enthusiastic!, his door is always open, if you live to far away, you can e-mail Rev. One of those days, after I finish my missionary work, I went to my place to spend some time with my family. After a while, I was surfing online, reading some news and checking on several websites when I saw something that attracted my attention. It was a link for a video on youtube of an audition for The Voice show in Netherlands.

I saw this guy standing in the middle of the stage, an ordinary guy to be honest, that like so many others, was trying to be accepted in that contest show. But, from the moment that Mitchell Brunings opened his mouth to sing, the mood of the judges and the audience completely changed. After the first two lines of the song, all the judges pressed a button and turned to see who was singing. (Pressing the button means that the contender was accepted into the show). Mitchel Brunnings made everything seems to be so easy to be done. It was really incredible.

He was singing this incredible song, Redemption Song, by Bob Marley. But, his voice was so incredibly similar to Bob Marley’s that everyone was in shock. However, what really amazed me was that, it seemed to me that the song was not coming out of his mouth but from his heart.

I consider myself a fan of Bob Marley, but somehow, I never listened to that song before. The lyrics was so meaningful, so strong, so damn good!!! I was very grateful that I had the chance to watch this marvelous video.

But this situation made me think about something. In all fields of art, there are some genius who are capable of creating the same kind of good emotion in our hearts. Those people are capable of creating such a masterpiece that can make fill our hearts with joy, hope or even make us cry like little babies.

In that sense, in our lives, there are wonderful examples of people who are doing their best, living their lives in a masterful way. Living in a world like and being able to notice that we can be happy at any time is a wonderful thing. Just now, I remember part of this famous song:

“And I think to myself, what a wonderful world”

I had prepared this post last night before heading to bed. I had a very musical evening of sleep, =^_^=…

Letting Go of Ego

PL teaches > if we are always caught up with power,status and appearances, we will find it hard to accomplish anything of worth. We are encouraged to “Let Go” and express ourselves fully.
Gosh, “ego” can be so abstract. Often it isn’t till I am well into the fray that I discover my “ego” has helped land me there.

For fun I looked up “EGO” in the Concise Oxford English Dictionary, why not… it is very early in the a.m. and i want to know what the academic definition is of EGO is, since i seem to have one of my very own. Here we go. 1> a person’s sense self esteem or self importance (2 )psychoanalysis the part of the mind that mediates between the conscious mind and the unconscious and is responsible for reality testing and a sense of personal identity. Compare with ID and Superego 3. philosophy (in metaphysics) a conscious thinking subject.

I just know you feel so much brighter and care free with this little tidbit of information tucked into your gray matter =^_^=….

Personally I think that an “ego” is a very personal part of our “personality and character. Certainly there are days when it can be very fragile, and other days when it is simply mulish. Ego might be something to discuss with Rev. Eugene next time we are sitting down for a “visit”. Consultations and visits with the ministers is very encouraged in the PL church. When James H. Rutz (free lance writer) talks about the formality in churches and how the personal sharing and one on one has disappeared from many of the “today” churches, I’m happy to say that this is not the case with the PL Churches, PL has a unique way of offering “Personal Guidance”

We believe strongly that happiness is built by establishing wishes and goals. through consultations with a PL minister, you receive personal guidance tailored to your individual character and situation. You can receive consultations from a PL minister for any kind of problem or situation. Not only do PL Consultations help you solve problems, but through consultations, you can learn how to express your true self for the sake of society and for the sake of others,

Our mission in PL is to create World Peace, we believe we can do this by passing on from one person to another the teachings of PL

Letting Go of Your Ego Will Make You a Stronger Person. Tall request… nah… put your mind to it and YOU CAN DO IT.
