I was in a wonderland of gingerbread and Victorian “beauties”… Still trying to research the area, before I give out too much info on this find! It is/ was a treasure… I will tell you it is in the States but barely… I had to drive through “customs” .. These wonderful gems are on the American side of the Canada/USA border.

yes! there is a community in Florida when I used to go down there, that was totally art deco.. I would like to go back and see if that is still there… it was in the Miami area.. I hope it is.. but.. it was years ago when I was down that way. Painted ladies I first got a taste for when I was in the San Francisco area.. in CA.
Charleston has a beautiful row of “painted ladies” as well. After I saw it in person, I bought an artist’s framed image of it. Gorgeous! 👀🍃

The houses are beautiful and it’s wonderful to see wooden screen doors. I can almost hear them slam (followed by my mother telling me to not slam them).
LOL I’m sure you were a handful at times.. but loved all the more for it… the houses were beautiful, and so many in one community, it was lane after lane of wrap around verandas .. hammocks, and signs of genteel living. I want to go back.. I hope I can manage it.
