I took this one day… while I stood in an empty parking lot, looking up . I was suddenly visited by a passing bird. These birds have a wonderful way of soaring across open skies drifting on currents.
I woke up today, thinking, I should go back to the parking lot..not that the bird will magically reappear … but to touch base with the woman I was when I went to that same part of the forest every day for almost 10 years. (maybe more)
Don’t know about you. but years have worn something down in me. I can’t yet define what that exact change is.. but I know…deep down inside, that there is a part of me that no longer, sees “life” the same way.
Over the years I have said goodbye to so many of my dearest and closest friends…. FB keeps sending us reminders, memories… it’s fun, sometimes.. but… really…. today… this moment… now… this is where I am and what I have to deal with …
i.e. I just had a moment of wishing that could still hit a key and a word would underline.. anyone else remember that function. It was a common feature, we had it in all word processing software./features. Not now. Some “genius” who probably never wrote for a living or loved using the written word to communicate… decided, he/she seldom used that feature, so obviously the rest of the world didn’t need it either.
and please, don’t get me started on the # of people in the world who can’t really read or write properly .. never mind.. how to do simply addition.
oh dear, oh dear, oh dear.. time to find my way down to the car and a patch of woodland….. have a good day everyone.. here is your thought for the day
Use dissatisfaction and complaints as a springboard to improvement…
If you only complain about something, nothing will get better. Look for the short comings in your thinking and come up with creative solutions to your problems.

Change is hard, and aging seems to be a process of letting go. I used to go for long hikes every day with my dog, both the long hikes and dog are now gone. Acceptance is about all we can do. Is there a green leafy park closer to home? Sitting under a big tree works wonders. 🙏🏼 💚
