Happy Canadian Thanksgiving

golden-chalice-flower-5sGreetings to you on this lovely sunny day.  The weather has turned a little cooler than it was last week, but I love the hint of zest, that little tang or crispness that has filtered in pinging our hardwood trees with a flirtatious  kiss that starts the leaves blushing and in some case, turning crimson red.

Driving down the highway towards Orleans (Ontario) I was totally smitten by the wide sweeping colours that waved to me as I passed by.  The sun was beaming down and all around me… there was pure happiness in the air.

orange-firecracker-vine-flower-1sThe flowers here are Oli’s from Australia, they too are enjoying this time of year.  No matter where we are on this planet.. what is that old expression… it is always after 5 pm somewhere, if not where we are.  The sun works its magic wherever it is.

So do we….. PL Precept #8, live as the sun.

Music is a venue that brings friends together.  tonight I will celebrate Breast Cancer Awareness at a party, the DJ always plans his events to challenge us in our knowledge of music from the past many years. His eclectic style and library of tunes, means he is “really does ‘ challenge us.. who can name this tune, what date did this come out..etc. (DJ Nick from Michigan)   He will be followed by a DJ from Oklahoma  (Bluelou McGrady) who with his brand of Blues will have us moving and groovin’ unable to sit still for longer than a minute, no matter our best intentions.

When we share our talents, and give freely of our time to inspire and great good times for others, happiness and friendships blossom and bloom.

The venues for these events, the first one is at Pacifique owned by the lovely Eclair Martinek, and the second event is at a down home southern bar/club  Rocking the Blues complete with swamps and alligators owned by Miss Kira Wyldfire, please note, all names have been changed to protect the innocent. =^_^=

These ladies practice living their lives, walking the path of true friendships and welcoming hearts, this is reflected in the people that work with them and the audiences they attract.

pink-begonia-flowers-1sWe all come from different backgrounds, worlds,  places, our histories are different,  our lifestyles could be miles apart, but what we all have in common, is the desire to be happy, and to live peaceful and joy filled lives.  We love our friends, and we cherish those who have stood by our side through thick and thin.

This is Canadian Thanksgiving, the American one is in late November, and the Church of Perfect Liberty, we celebrate Thanksgiving every month, on the 21st.  We focus on gratitude, appreciation and give thanks, for all that we are, and will be and for those we love and appreciate, past and present.

It is the start of a new month.  A new beginning.  In PL (Perfect LIberty) on the 1st of each month we have a ceremony, we pray for World Peace and rededicate ourselves to live as peaceful human beings in our own worlds.  That means anywhere we are “present”

PL Principle #21  I will live with the spirit of “Misasage” (devotion) working for the happiness of others.

PL precept #10  Love yourself and Others

When I feel one thing, and do another, then I am not being true to myself or to the person or situation I am interacting with.  It is not always easy to think before we speak, and, unfortunately, once the words leave our mouths, they can’t easily be taken back.

Let us begin this month, with a prayer in our hearts that extends out to all whose lives we touch.  Let us work towards acceptance and understanding when we are faced with something that is unfamiliar to us, or not in our comfort zone.  In the end, we may decide that we simply will have to agree to disagree, but at least, we listened to the option.  BEFORE making our decision, (choices)

LEA22- IMMACULATE PERCEPTION – IMMACULATE REFLECTION

lazy mind

8.20_011

A lazy mind can sit and ponder, wonder and consider her options for hours on end.  there is nothing wrong in daydreaming, or taking time out to unwind, de-stress, or as some of us say, just chill.  However, often it is after spending hours drifting aimlessly through imaginary and often lingering moments of “fantasy”, we emerge and finding that all the “stuff” we had waiting for attention in the “immediate” world, is still there, waiting …..

8.20_013

Sure, we can make a list, and we can plot out just how we will get to this project and that one, what materials we will need, even “see” it in our heads.  But all of this is not getting “it” done.

8.20_009

Maybe a walk will sweep out the cobwebs and give inspiration.  Wow, it is so nice out  here, such a pleasure to be out in the fresh air.  hmmm yes, hear those birds, and look… look at how white and fluffy the clouds are today.

8.20_023

Oh my goodness, look at the time, where did it go, it must be dinner time, and I’ve not even started to get things ready.  where did the time go.  Must have closed my eyes after the walk, it was only going to be for a few minutes.

8.20_020

Hello Mr. Crow, will you help me while I start preparing for supper.  I had a good day, thank you for asking, how was yours? hmmmm oh I see, you were busy with your pals clearing up left over seeds at the neighbouring farms.

8.20_024

Well compared to your day, I guess I didn’t get much done..  but then again, I was “busy” all day.

Can any of you relate….. to my “busy” day, shared with my “lazy mind” ??

Oyashikiri

PL Principle # 14  I will not have a mind to be lazy.  I will not have complaints while working nor be overly concerned and complain about others.

PL Principle #1  I will live paying careful attention, putting Makoto (sincerity) into all I say and do.

comments???

and then….

In Perfect Liberty (Church PL) we say ” Life is Art” that is the #1 Precept of our 21 Precepts.

 # 2 is To Live Is to Express One’s Self,

#7 Everything Exists in Relativity.

#18 Each Moment is a Turning Point

I have mentioned before that I visit Second Life which is a virtual world. To some it is a game and to others it is not.  To know what Second Life is all about, you have to experience it.  Much like if I am eating a peach and you see me with a big smile and peach juice at the corners of my mouth, you note the peach is fuzzy and looks moist and inviting, this will give you some information about what I’m eating, but if you ask me, what does it taste like, my answer will really not tell you anything.  Why, because you are not tasting it for yourself, and my taste buds and yours might be on totally different planets.

Why am I talking about SL today, mainly because I just finished doing the blog for this virtual reality world http://virtualluna.blogspot.ca/   and I was totally blown away by the creativity and artist  way of life many of the creators in SL lead.  The builders (artists/designers) recreate what they see, like and enjoy in our day to day world, which in SL speak is called RL (real life)  These people from all over the world, SL is played by people from all over the world if there is internet there is SL. The SL currency can be exchanged in most major markets. ie. we can trade SL currency for US dollars. (LOL if you have enough of it)

Many of the artists/designers make their living through sales in  this virtual marketplace.  They use their skills to design and build for the inhabitants of this world, and they  make enough to pay their” whatever” in real life.  In PL we recognize that each individual is a unique being, and we all have ways to express who we are.

One of the valuable lessons of this virtual world is that we have to look beyond the avatar we are speaking with, because behind each avatar is a real live breathing person.  So in life.. we meet someone and we see their outer shell.  How often do we forget that inside that body we are looking at, there is a person, with a heart and feelings.  We look at their appearance, the clothes they wear, how they stand, speak, and without knowing it, or even thinking about it, we form an opinion.  It is hard not to do.

I ask you today, to think of the PL Precepts I’ve mentioned above, and to put your Makoto into doing your best to value those Precepts and apply them to your daily living.  The truth revealed in their words applies universally to all humankind.

Good Morning Everyone!

Remember this picture.  I’ve used it before.  I loved the stained glass windows.  I loved how the windows survived while the insides of the church was showing the rubble and decay of neglect and time.  Not being the photographer who took this picture, I do not know what the outside of this building looked like.  My vision  can only drink in what I see.  My emotions and feelings  toss and turn inside my head looking for the words to explain what seeing this moment in time does to and for me.

Today’s meditation/lesson   >The bigger the task, the more  your convictions are tested <  So many questions arose when I looked at the church, the light from outside is still coming through the windows, on a bright sunny day, how mesmerizing the view must be.  How enchanted I am just gazing at the light coming in through the various colours.  The peeling on the old walls has formed a lace pattern of intricate designs, were I there today, I would zoom in for a closer look. (times like this I miss my viewer in SL)  ( LOL.. for those of us who are part of the community in the virtual world of SL, there is a lot I’m sure that we at times wish we could do in our everyday lives as easily as we do in our other reality)

window 1

We all have windows in our lives, and mostly we look out.. not into them.  Why is that do you think?  When we encounter a challenge, are given a diagnosis we don’t really want … … what is it we tend to do.  Look on Google, ask around about it, share the information with a friend.???  We’re given a window, what do we do with it…

Flowers in the WindowWindows are symbolic of consciousness.  Yet windows are often simply part of our physical space, and are given thought to when we need to ope or close the shutters /blinds.. or look out to see if it is raining.  Unlike the door which we  interact with on a daily basis.  Using it to enter or leave the premises, yet I doubt we pay that much attention to it.  Tasks and challenges/opportunities are like windows and doors in our lives.  We “see” them, we use them, but often don’t really “see” them at all.  They just are.

wwindow,broken found on voicenet.asia

Sometimes we need to look at the window, really look at it, and see it not only from outside, but from inside as well. When we encounter resistance in our thinking, we are looking in only one direction, usually out, it is often what is inside that is at the heart of the matter.

window, stained glass, by Vincent-Jansen.nl. flickr

Come sit with me, share this time to contemplate the moment.  Together we will live this moment in time, so when we move on, this moment will not be forgotten.    Our windows allow the light to come in, when it does, let it shine……………….

“If what you desire

is to be inspired and feel joy

but the opposite keeps showing up,

Rather than cursing fate

you can view yourself

as simply being

out of creative

Freitag, Friday morning greetings!

4.10 cute fox Status_001A smile can brighten someone’s day, it can change a mood, it can say what words can’t say, especially when it come from the heart.  In life , there are days when it isn’t always easy to find someone who is smiling.  Oh yes, there is the smile of recognition when you first greet, but it soon turns to talk that removes the smile that had started when you first greeted. Often the smile is automatic, not one that is really felt from the heart up on through the to the eyes. The eyes broadcast a lot if you care to look.

Yesterday I was visiting with a friend who is a DJ.  She works in a virtual world, the world of Second Life, her shows can be an hour sometimes two.  In a virtual world, you are looking and and interacting with an avatar.  Each avatar is worked by an actual person sitting at a keyboard, just like you are.  In my friend Sugaree’s room/studio, she is not just enjoying the sound of the music, she is greeting newcomers, and playing tunes, much like a radio DJ used to in the “good ole days”.  She is working, for an hour or two, however long she is contracted for, she entertains the audience who has come to enjoy her “craft”.  Music being played to entertain and please.  Most of the audience is dancing and listening to her venue.  The feedback she gets is that we speak, either in voice or text.  So smiles are not somethings she can see, we have to let her know that we are enjoying what she is doing.

In the real world, we pass people every day, that we don’t speak to, we stand beside people in close spaces (elevators) and we don’t speak, we could smile.. seldom do we do that either.  So.. really we could be in a virtual world, we ignore those around us in general unless we have reason to speak to them, or they are known to us.  In the virtual world, we actually speak to one another so that we can interact and find out where (what country) the person is from, and to determine common interests, if any.  Interesting isn’t it.  Liken it to the “olde days) when we were all encouraged in school to find and write to friends overseas, in other countries or in a different part of the country you lived in.  It was fun and educational to find a pen pal.  I still maintain contact with people I’ve met only via the post, true now, if we can we do e-mails.  Still.. we shared smiles and giggles with letters long before the internet.  Now …. we go virtual.

A smile is golden. Satus knows that the little critter makes people smile.  He was busy but he brought the little fellow out to work his magic, Smile I did, it was automatic, but it felt real good, I sat with a silly grin on my face and watched while the little fellow went through different programmed animations.  That was considerate of Satus. a young man I barely know except through business, he owns a company in SL.  Sugaree who I  have never met in person, shared her time and her music to bring a smile into the lives of others.. Knowing her makes me smile.  She is a special person, I hope our friendship grows, we share conversation, and laughs when we get together and she is not working.  Friendships are important, and smiling is also just as important.  Where-ever you are, what ever you are doing, use the smile muscle often, It is good for your health!

Rules – Good morning everyone!

!cid_1_2553387078@web160902_mail_bf1_yahooLook at the dog’s eyes, I can almost hear him/her asking his mistress “really, did I sign up for this”, this is what you want me to do?”  Meanwhile the little cuddly friend is happily drinking from the bottle and thinking only of how yummy, delicious it is. This is a wonderful picture. I send an enormous thank you to  the artist that put the energy and creativity into bringing it to us.  It brought a smile to my day and for sure, to millions of others who saw and delighted in the composition.  Before social media, we were still able to come up with such clever ideas, and take pictures to show our friends and family  But we couldn’t share like we do today, we didn’t have the tools to allow total strangers all over the world to share in our creative moment.

Yes we still had artistic expression, we still lived our lives moment by moment, we did our chores, played, worked and played some more, but the element of having our creativity, thoughts, dreams and expressions on display for all to see…  well …. that was unknown.  Until…. someone somewhere broke a rule, or stepped outside a box  and brought new potential and far reaching ideas into tangible possibilities. There is a joy in being creative.  Every day I see friends who live miles and sometimes continents apart sharing their day and thoughts with friends they’ve met in virtual worlds, on Facebook, in games.. and it is not just inane chatter, often is is meaningful, supportive and caring.

While we live in a world where there is a framework of laws, morals and rules to follow, the keyword here is framework…. when Divine Spirit is our constant companion and we are always in touch, (connected) love is our motivation, world peace and inner joy our goal, then a rule is a man made what? guideline?………… I know they are needed…………..but…………….
