ahhhh … waves across the miles.. thought of you when I found the stock pot.. and after giving it a good cleaning.. I made soup the old fashion way, with a pot of cold water, and a huge turkey bone, and and and. simmered and tended to it for the whole day.
Ohmygosh! I know, without a doubt, your house must smell amazing with those stewing aromas. 🍂🥘
I experiments with the Asia curry powdered .. added it with the fermented bean curd..of course fresh garlic and ginger. etc. etc. usually put in some of the Chinese mustard, but cuz I wanted to try the curry I passes on the hot mustard.. One of the veggies was Chinese mustard Green (Gai toi)

Back in England on the door to my writing room I have an old door knocker in the form of Shakespeare passed down to me from my father who, at 97 is also ‘Worn, weathered, aging beautifully, still holding up’. Another reason for me to spend more time back home drawing inspiration from both my Dad and the Bard for my own writing.

Only symbolically, as I’m the only one who enters that room. So it’s for ritual rather than practical use!
