Fierce, loyal, I stand true

I gaze out into the day/night looking for you

Although I search the skies from far and wide

I never seem to ever get glimpse of you

Yet, I know you to be all around me

I draw strength through my roots from you

My branches reach up and are embraced by you

I feel you when you blow your cold icy breath against my bark

or bath me in your warmth when you shine your light on me

So, why this need to see you…. for I am…. because of you.

no more no less… for we are ONE
