Came across this huge poster the other day.. I tried to get a good picture to share, that is why I have put two copies of it up in case you can see one better than the other. I first saw such a poster when I worked at CTV (Canadian television media) back in the early years when it was a budding new industry. The new Pr man had arrived and was setting up his office. He had come from Hamilton and there against his wall was such a poster with interesting doors of Hamilton (Ontario/Canada) Do these posters still exist? Does anyone have an actual collection of the posteres? We are an avid door chaser group, besides sharing the doors here on Thursdays… do we have our own collection of door posters? What do you do with all the doors you’ve collected over the years?

I have seen posters of doors from various cities (but I don’t collect them). I did have a Doors calendar hanging in my office while I was still working, but I don’t hang one at home. That said, I have seen many calendar/poster worthy doors contributed to this challenge over the years.
I know we get to see some truly amazing doors posted .. that is why I enjoy this event so much.

Hi Brenda.. yes had I had room for it, I would have brought it home .. but.. I’m in downsizing mode…. they are lovely aren’t they. At one time cities did these posters.. it was great PR..
I found a library book that was all photos of amazing doors, then thought we could do one ourselves. 🙂 The poster reminds me of a puzzle I found when visiting a friend, one of all teapots, which as I love tea and teapots, was a great find. 🙂
You jut gave me an idea about – doors- and doing a book…
My sister is into tea cups and teapots… we actually found a 1000 piece puzzle with the teacups and tea pots.. I wonder if she ever did it.. I remember her musing about how to get it back to CA. She was up here visiting.
