Tranquility

July 2017

Tranquility is where we find it.  We recognize the moment that the world around us is blanketed with the right harmony of visual, audio and sensual input.

This view of the world through the lens of Dr.Enz (PA) a musician who has taken up photography as another way of expressing his passions.  I have permission to share some of his works with you.  Hope you enjoy.  The soft greens and the reflection in the water came together beautifully.  For me, it was/is visual music.

Not everyone will share my pleasure, and that is what makes life interesting.

Appreciate the differences in others, you don’t have to agree, but you can perhaps learn to understand.

Nature has many faces, depending on where we are at a given time, what we will see and experience , are miles apart, different in every way, yet beautiful at the same time.

With the many prayers and healing thoughts coming our way, how can we not be enriched in every way, by the thoughtful and caring generosity of our friends.

Happy Monday

Bright, colourful, a visual delight

I am wishing with all my might

that this week

will be an endless maze

of happy days

whether  skies be blue or gray

I earnestly pray

each and every one of you

will find that God’s grace will visit you

and you will be rewarded

with the best life has to offer you

for dreams and wishes

to come true

we need only believe

love belongs to me and you

montfort

This was taken on the last day at the Montfort before hubby was transferred to a larger hospital in the city.  Isn’t this just the most welcoming space.

My nephew took this other one a while back, for me it give me the same sense of tranquility as the one I took the other day when leaving the Montfort.

Whatever, or where you find your “calm” today…. enjoy it.

Wordless Wednesday

The attraction just happened

it was a piece in the ground,  we needed to dig out..

took hours to break and dig it up

when I saw it, I couldn’t let it go

it now stands in the garden

I’ll enjoy it all year round.

mar 17.17 watching

It was a beautiful day .. I took to the roads .. you’ve often heard me say how I love driving the highway, headed out of the city core.  The stretch of roads I take have a lot of country side along the way. It is a way for me to unwind.

I’ve undertaken the huge task of clearing my work table, and letting go of the bits and pieces that seem to get left behind after each and every project.  I think that last over-haul was perhaps last fall when I was working on the greeting cards for the church.

As an artist it is easy to get lax, I find that I need to challenge myself to step outside the box, much like with my writing.  I can get very motivated, the ideas spring endlessly past my gray cells, yet I’m not smitten enough to take action.  Then out of nowhere, I know the time is right.  Since last week, I’ve noticed a lot “gemstone” colours, spring colours mainly, I’m rather excited to see what is around the corner.

I got knitting needles today, I’m not keen on knitting, but I found myself looking at square in the Michael’s’ store, they ask for donations of 9″ squares, they are put together to make colourful blankets for one of their charities. Who knows.  I do know how to knit, it just doesn’t appeal to me.

PL Precept #18   Each moment is a turning point

There was more than one face in the above painting, but I pulled the one out.. because she was watching … =^_^=
