MC found this door on her travels. I loved the charm of its simplicity, It seems to stand there and say, I’m here, enter if you must. I’ve done my best to give you access, but the joys lie within, IF you gain entrance. Functional and proud. A no nonsense door, solid to the core. the touch of green .. is a seed that took root and was not to be deterred. Personality plus don’t you think!!! Even the steps make a statement.
“Your surroundings are a mirror of your thoughts. When you think “This is going to be hard” then your situation will become difficult. Instead, think, “let’s do this!” and face your situation with determination. then you will be surprised to see how smoothly things go.”

“2 monks were walking along the bank of a swift river. There they met a young woman w ho could not cross alone. One of the monks picked up the young woman and carried her across the river to the other side.
Sometime much later, the other monk said to his companion, “did you forget that it is against the rules to touch a woman?” Have you forgotten the vows you have taken?”
The other monk answered, “Brother , I eft the young woman on the bank of the river once we crossed. Why are you still carrying her in your mind?” (The Irish get up and go diary 2019)

I love that door. I think it might take a while to get used to turning to the left to find the stairs, but it works well. I also like the story you added and your bit of advice. I hope you have a great day!
Good morning Dan.. thanks! with the cooler weather, I’m thinking hockey have the penguins started to play yet? I heard they are doing trades, but up here I don’t get much news on their activities.
They have started preseason play and they are doing pretty well. I always have high hopes this time of year.
Love the door, the stone building, all of it. That being said, I think the message of the stairs is “Be careful not to go a step to far!” That drop-off is no joke!

LOL true, you wouldn’t make the wrong turn when you come out the door… waves a sunny smile your way…
Waving back. 👋
Thank You for this compelling image and textual riff.
The window seems made by and for giants, the stoop for us normal folk.
good morning! I was struck by how high the door was… makes for a lot of questions, that made it fun.
