ring around a rosie
a pocket full of posies
another house came down today
what was once a quiet little community
is being bombarded
with in fill
cars & trucks are lined up
all in a row
wheels off, and hoods up
like ladies of the night
waiting for someone
to come and hopefully
take what is left of the parts
after all
their hearts were
taken long ago
yes I visited one of my favourite haunts
today
no I wasn’t out to play
I had to detour and found myself
in a place
that even in the broiling heat
gives me pause
to simply
