Good morning, good morning

I’m still reading yesterday’s lesson, “Begin each day with a renewed sense of appreciation”  the sun is streaming in my office window… I slept in late, feeling lazy and happy.  Nice way to start the day, don’t you think?  Had a short conversation of sorts with a young woman from Brazil (Rio) who didn’t speak English, and I don’t speak Portuguese, so it was brief, but enjoyable, we both grabbed a dictionary and did our best.  =^_^=

In doing our best, in putting our heart and soul into what we are doing – being present/focused – we always achieve  a “connection.” In giving our best, we are rewarded with a result, it isn’t always the result we set out for, but it is a result never-the-less.  I’ve learned to appreciate the little detours that the Universe provides, makes learning my “lessons” much more of an adventure … after all…. Life is Art.

The top photograph was taken in Japan, the magnificent sculptured Tower/building can be found on the Perfect Liberty campus in Tondabayashi, Osaka, Japan. (The PL Peace Tower)  The view from the upper rooms is breathtaking.  The second photo is part of the landscaping on campus.

Make today count!

May your day be filled with warmth, happiness and love.  Always and forever.  Oyashikiri

Mioshie

IMG_6370

Rev. Eugene on Mioshie

What is Mioshie? Mioshie in PL is “Divine Instruction.” It tells you the reason for receiving the particular Mishirase (sickness, misfortune, injury, etc.). The Mioshie will list all the negative mentality that you had. By praying and practicing what is written on the Mioshie, your Mishirase will be cured.

To give you an example, let say that I came down with a cold. So, I request a Mioshie for my Mishirase of catching a cold. The Mioshie will come back listing all my negative mentality that I had. It could be: 1. Don’t be stubborn; 2. Don’t overly do things; and 3. Don’t complain about others. If I can follow all these, then I will never catch a cold the rest of my life.

In order for a body to be healthy, everything needs to run smoothly. A negative mentality releases chemicals in our body that starts a reaction that eventually leads to a cold, for instance. Therefore, a person who has more positive mentality will be more healthier than not.

To request Mioshie is to know your true self. We can look at other people and know what negative mentality that person has. But, it is very hard to realize your own negative mentality.

Mioshie is the key to being healthy and living a happier life.

Mioshie is Divine Instruction given to PL members to help them learn and improve through Mishirase.

Mishirase – Divine warning from God, in the form of an illness, a misfortune, and accident, pain or suffering

Diabetic in denial

Diabetic in denial

I am a diabetic, I have known now for maybe 8 – 10 years. Yet not until today, did I get good instruction and educational information on what being diabetic means.
Knowing something, and acceptance are two different things.

I met with a certified diabetes educator and the pharmacist where I get my prescriptions filled. Both took the time, to go over with me what diabetes can do to a body over time, and what the medications are that help control symptoms and hopefully work so that the “patient” can live a balanced and healthy life.

I had asked for a consultation with the minister at church, and at that time I asked for a Mioshie.( Available to members this is a special request that is sent to Japan, where it is then prayed and focused on by special trained ministers. When the response comes back, it is given to you via the minister at the church, left with you to meditate and pray on the suggested lessons. Then there is further consultation with the minister to help you work through what will help ou to improve you situation.)  For more exact definition of what Mioshie is, we can have Rev. Eugene  explain it further?

My head is reeling with all the information that came at me today, one of the visual demonstrations of what is happening to my blood when my sugar levels are high, left no doubt in my mind that I would have to go back on the medication(s).  I have to go back to zero, and start with a lower dose of the one drug.  The others I will hold off on, till I see how this one drug does.  I don’t want the headaches back.  I took 1/2 a tablet at 4:30 pm and now at 6:50 pm, I’ve got a whopper of a headache.  So, down go 2 Tylenol, the stress of thinking of the start of another drug infestation is sending me running  for cover.  sigh.

Time to retreat – lay back – and allow my inner self to assimilate  the information I learned today.  I will try to “let go” and allow the voice of “divine wisdom” to filter through my human reaction to all of this.  Let go, Let GOD

A Testimony from Spain

This is the” voice” of a PL member in Spain,  I have left her words her own, I hope it touches you as much as it touched me to read what she has to day.  Today at church, I talked of appreciation, and now this evening I have her email, that reaffirms to me how valuable living in Perfect Liberty is.

Church Madrid

I entered in PL the 24th of October of 2009, thanks to a fellow worker and great friend Maria del Carmen Larios, who had returned to Spain her country after 15 years in Argentina. I net Maria del Carmen because she gave me classes of how develop better my business in Madrid, every class I observed her the way she moves and talks and how she acts doing things very different from the others, with a full philosophy of attitude, with love, generosity, being useful to the others  never waiting anything back from others.

That power, that big example called totally my attention, besides other leaders from our company never taught us so big and so splendid, they always expect something back from us.   She always told us to be better to the society, taking a message of hope, harmony, well-being and she always taught us that everything is possible if it is done with “Art”.

I remember that many afternoons I asked her about her philosophy of life and talk about PL for hours, she said to me that it was thanks to the practice of a Japanese religion, call PL.

I astonished myself reading the prayers book and the newspapers she showed me those days. She started to share with me the PL lessons and principles.    Thanks to PL I have been able to totally understand, experience  the FAITH, because I come from a catholic religious education  and even I always have faith I could not understand it the way I do it now.

After some months Maria del Carmen started to spread the PL religion with other colleagues and we all love it, she has done it so strongly and with so much affection that we all have began to have a better life practicing this religion.  We meet once a week in our office to pray and to receive knowledge of PL. Maria del Carmen is a big example and she shares her art with us.

Thanks to PL I am much happier in life, I always love life but during the last 3 years I got divorced and it was hard to handle because my divorce has being traumatic, long process and painful.   My 8 years old son is also a PL member  and thanks to PL we are going through this process with love and hope. Both of us feel the Oshieoya-sama blessings every day.

I have being  in Japan this summer for the Rensei and it has being the more extraordinary experience I have ever had in life.  I have no words to explain the experience but definitively every member of PL should have the dream and bless of being once there. It has being the first time in PL history that a caravan of 6 Spanish people go to Seichi Japan.  These has being possible thanks to Maria del Carmen´s and Sensei Mizunoe blessings and effort.  Thank you to all members of PL for your prayers and well doing.

Thank you Ana for sharing your “heart” with us.  Thank Maria and say hello to everyone in Spain for us.  I hope to get to see you in the new year.

Temple in Japan

WP_20130727_012

Could I travel back in time… I can close my eyes and imagine standing outside this temple gate when it was still new on the earth.  How big was the original foot print, would the daily activities of the monks have been so public to tourists and strangers.  Japan is a land of history and that history contains many temples.  There was an activity in the part of the temple that I would really have loved to explore, alas, it was not to be.  To get to this temple, my friends took me through a restored and maintained part of “old Japan”

WP_20130727_011

Yes, I’m back in Canada, but a part of me is still in Japan.

WP_20130727_010

The doorway beckons, there is more for me to explore and discover.  If you missed it last time, this is one of the things that I am really missing, the great abundance of good food.

I’m sure there are great Japanese restaurants here in Canada, but they are few where I live.  My version of what I’d like is no where close to what is available in the many many restaurants in Japan.

I was so busy living the moment and taking in all the sights and sounds, that my camera was dormant in my purse.  Eat, take a picture, the eating won out. =^_^=   Choices, we all have to make them, they are a constant in our lives.  We are still preparing for winter here, Husband has scheduled the car for the changing over to winter tires, and the car tune up, we are thinking of getting our flu shots, and on it goes,

Like fireworks dazzling across the night time sky, I send out loving blessings to each and everyone of you.

Have a great Tuesday!

Japan, aspects of

Japan, aspects of

Now back home in Canada, in the middle of Nature’s awesome exhibit of her Fall colour palette, I find myself drifting off to memories of my all too brief time in Japan.
Japan had never been one of my travel destinations, so when I decided to go, it was pack up and go, no research or prior reading was done on the country, their customs, attitudes and behaviors.

For instance, I had no idea that in Japan public toilets did not supply paper towels, or hand dryers. I would have known to bring with me my own handkerchief.

Western tradition, we say “Ladies first”… Japanese tradition is “you first” the other person is placed on a higher social level than oneself… BUT… interestingly, going through a doorway, the senior male is expected to lead the way, and on a crowded train or bus, there is not need for a man to give up his seat, no matter how many packages or children a woman may be carrying. (social expectation)

When invited for lunch, a visitor usually leaves by 3 pm. while for an evening meal, visitors do not stay any later than 8 pm, even if encouraged to stay, the polite response is to leave. Host and family will often even go as far as the transit station with their guests. At the least, they will all stand at the door wishing the parting guests, safe journey etc.

The Japanese language is rich with special ways to express gratitude  ie..
O-machido-sama deshita, -Thank you for waiting.
Go-chiso-sama deshita – Thank you for the meal.
Go-kuro-sama deshita – Thank you for going out of your way
O-tsukara-sama deshita -Thank you for your hard work.

Think how often we hear or say Thank you in our daily lives.

What I did experience and loved was the underground streets (Chikado) (areas of shopping) that are built in conjunction with major subway stations (train stations) in the larger cities, ie. Tokyo, Osaka and Nagoya in particular)

Every eating place (shokudo) and resutoran (restaurant) has an outdoor display cabinet that contains shokuhin sanpuru, (life size plastic replicas of dishes being served in that location). I understand that in most cases, what you see outside is a very close duplicate to what you will actually get in the shop, down to the number of slices and size of portions.

I came back home with a yen for more of the fabulous food offerings I had while in Japan. No, this taste delight has not been satisfied. I will have to continue in my searching. chances are I’ll do better in a larger city, i.e. Toronto. If you have any suggestions, please send them along to me.

In PL we say…. Saying Thank You creates a heart to heart connection.  If you don’t put your thoughts into words and actions, you will not be able to express how you truly feel.  By expressing your gratitude in words, you can really get your feelings across.

Blessings to you all, now and forever

Smiles -Autism – Buddhism- churches

Smile and the world smiles with you

A friend sent me this picture and I returned the smile from ear to ear. Smiling is contagious.
First i would like to give you some information re. Autism that I have for those of you who venture into SL.
If you key in the world autism in the search window, you will be given a number of choices.
Autism Society of American and GBFA Commumity Center and Mall is a favourite.
Autism Support
Autism Society
Second Life Autism Network
The list goes on. I apologize that sometimes I take for granted the wealth of information and places to visit in SL.
Where I personally do not deal with autism in my life, I have friends that do. I’ve learned that where a child/individual who has difficulties in daily interactions in RL, shines and demonstrates amazing creativity with the tools SL offers.

To the other question about the various churches in SL, there are far too many to list. Again, once in SL, use the search window, type in the church, philosophy, teachings you are looking for and you will be directed to the various destinations.

For example, you can attend Buddhist Dharma teachings at the Buddha Center. This can be a busy place, they have traffic in the 1000s from all over the world at any given time.
Please dress accordingly.

Today I was visiting the Buddhist Temple in Aosagi,  Japan. This sim is themed as a region of Japan in the Edo period (1603-1868 AD). It is designed to support a number of cultural, educational and roleplay groups for the benefit of all. The owning group is Kurogawa Cho. a wonderful way to revisit history and learn about how life was in the late 17th century.
This region is set in sengoku period of the late 17th century of feudal Japan.
Please remember that SL is International, often you will encounter people who are from a different country and culture, some do not speak English, on this sim (community) the main language is Japanese.

Wherever you go, who ever you visit with, remember today’s teaching (PL teaching) People Grow by Being Praised and Applauded by Others.
When people recognize your accomplishments and celebrate with you. What happens?, we become more enthusiastic ourselves and want to do better.

Success is achieved by working in Harmony with others.

Applaud someone in your circle today, SMILE, the world is ours when we SMILE and live the PL Way.

Blessings all…. arms open wide to embrace you, my heart is singing ” I   L O V E    Y O U”     love is in the air, reach out and grab your share.

Ari thank you for the wonderful picture!

World Peace

World Peace

I’ve found myself wanting to be back in Japan, even though I was surrounded by people there were nooks and crannies and quiet places where the serenity of the moment was overwhelming. You literally walked away your stress, or day to day hum drum thoughts that weighed you down when your busy mind started to natter.
The goal in PL is to strive for, and achieve, World Peace.
To attain such a goal, we have to begin with our “Selves”

No one can change us, we alone can do that. I think lately I’ve let the every day world “pull my chain” or interfere too much with my daily meditations. Yesterday’s teaching on the PL calendar was.  Let’s choose to use words that are kind, polite and courteous. Kind words will bring about a kind heart.   BEAUTIFUL WORDS MAKE FOR A BEAUTIFUL SOUL

That is what resonates with me today. today’s teaching is Act with Enthusiasm.. If you put your whole heart into whatever you do, you will be able to appreciate any task at hand.take initiative in tackling your work or tasks.

Good thoughts to start the day with don’t you think.

Robert H. Schuller wrote a spiritual autobiography that he called Prayer – My Soul’s Adventure with God –
He wrote.. (Psalm 51:10-12)
Create in me a clean heart, O God.
And renew a steadfast spirit within me.
Do not cast me away from yolur presence
And do not take your Holy Spirit from me.
Restore to me the joy of Your salvation,
And uphold me by Your generous spirit.

Blessing everyone, be God inspired today!
