Begin your day with Appreciation

Welcome each new day,
start today with a renewed appreciation for the world
around you… and the people in your lives.
With the world rapidly changing, we need to continue
to evolve, that sometimes means changing how we see things.
At one times their was a family structure that very different from what we see in a lot of families today. Especially here in North America.
In Canada and I believe in the U.S.A. we have something called Mother’s Day, which is one day set aside to celebrate our Mother’s, or the women in our lives who are Mothers, GrandMothers Great Grandmothers, which is nice. It really is.

However when I look around, I see that many women today are not just stay at home moms. They more often then not are wearing multiple hats, mother,sometimes they even have to be the father too (single parent family). They hold down one and sometimes 2 jobs not including the role of being a Mother which is full time. It is hard work being independent and self sufficient,

PL Principle #11 – Realizing that children are God’s children, I will raise my child to become a useful citizen for others and society. Realizing also that children are mirrors of their parents, I will not raise my child indulging in my own emotions and just wanting to satisfy my feelings of love.

The quote I’ve used today by Dorothy C. Fisher is a statement to be applauded.

Life is like Art Art is Life

In life, in art, in projects, we get what we put into the task.
Do you sometimes skip a step here and there, cuz you’re in a hurry, then wonder later why something didn’t turn out quite like you expected?
Do you plan the event to get the event over with? Or is there a purpose to that event?
Is there a goal in mind, are their expectations?

Put your heart into whatever you do. If you are going to do something, you mas as well do it with enthusiasm. You will gradually begin to see what makes it interesting, and perhaps exceed expectations.

Treat Today as if it is your First Time Around.
Just because you succeeded in the past, doesn’t guarantee that things will go as smoothly today.

Today is today, NOW

Monday morning sunshine

Sometimes I need to listen to something different. Why? because I want to enjoy and appreciate the vocal styling, the emotions of the singer(s) and the music that haunts and weaves a musical thread through my dreams.

quinta-ferian todo mundo- Thursday hola!

Now this was exciting. I’ve been to fireworks before, we are lucky that here in Canada’s capital area there is a big casino that hosts International firework competitions every summer. Countries come from all over the world to compete, the shows are mind boggling.

However dear readers, this humble picture taken with my smart phone was one of many I took trying to capture the thrill and excitement of being right under the captivating spell of a dazzling display of fireworks (in Japan) that lasted about 45 minutes. One magnificent show of colour and artistry after another. You really had to be there. (I have been promised pictures from other members who had cameras, video cams etc. I’ll share when they arrive)

That is pretty much what life is like isn’t it. We can be spectators to what is going on around us, or we can be participants. Pl encourages us to Challenge everything with enthusiasm
Get in there… be the star of your own moment….
You will be rewarded with joy and new encounters that will give long lasting happy memories.

Oh Boy! It’s Thursday.. wow where has the week gone..
Isn’t life a blast. (am I dating myself again!) =^_^=

PL Spain

A happier, more positive group I have yet to meet, These charmers were a delight to be around. When we were walking with the flags, their enthusiasm and gusto was catching. What better example of Living Life with Good Rhythm.

During the course of a day, new things happen all the time.
Being positive in life, allows for you to flow with the rhythm of the life, flexibly and willingly. Life is Art.

The song is a PL song and my favourite, it is one of the songs we sang as we marched together to the celebrations with the flags.

Oh Yeah! – so what!

Busy busy busy– I am playing host today to a mind that is non stop busy. Doing what you say? Haven’t a clue.
What is a “roo” to do” I want to sew, go to the gym, work on my blog, finish cleaning the fridge, make a replacement mat for next to the burner, package some costume jewelry for the garage sale, prune back the vines that are going crazy in the backyard and you want me to what!!!! Bunnies and eggs month isn’t till next spring!
S T O P …head for a quiet space and sit down and do nothing. That’s right N O T H I N G. now that is better, time to reflect on just what I would like to do in 3 minutes. Not before. First I will do NOTHING.

Works for me, by the time my brain and body realize that I am sitting absolutely still not listening to the chatter, the quiet ,moment has begun. Something magical starts to happen. From the moment you decide “you are in control, and you are going to do get things done at your pace and your way….things begin to happen.
In PL we work at being “mindful” being “present”, when the brain starts to chatter in unproductive blah blah blah. We quietly make time to center ourselves and take back ownership of our day.

Ask yourself, what is needed now and what can wait?

Perfect Liberty – church of

Good Morning everyone!

One should never assume. Here I have been happily blogging away about my life with Perfect Liberty, thinking everyone knew about the church of Perfect Liberty or had heard of it. My apologies. Above is the church in Ottawa, Canada. There are also churches in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Oakland, New York and Hawaii. These are the churches in North America. For the locations of the churches in Brazil, Argentina, etc. you would need to contact the Holy Land in Japan, In Japan there is a network of churches all across the country. It is my understanding that the next huge network is in Brazil . Pertfect LIberty HQ > 2172 -1 Shindo > Tondabayashi, Osaka 584-8651 Japan

The Ottawa PL Church branches out, Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver with little communities in between. The PL Church in NY is headed by Rev. T. Goto (Sr. Minister) who was our Sr. Minister here in Ottawa for approx. 13 years. He is now located in Jackson Hts, NY. and can be reached by e-mail or phone. The phone # is (718) 424-8815. The Ottawa phone number is (613) 225-1850, Rev. Eugene (Sr. Minister) and Rev. Tiago are available 7 days a week, to assist you.

New York and Ottawa are in the Eastern Time Zone.. when it is noon here, it is 9 a.m. on the Pacific Coast. Japan is 13 hours ahead of us. Again noon here, would be 1 a.m. the next day in Japan. Pl Church (Perfect Liberty) has a history that goes back to the First Founder Rev. Tokuharu Miki who was formerly a Buddhist priest,the story begins in 1912, when Rev Miki met Rev. Tokumitsu Kanada. Our history is fascinating one and one we will look forward to sharing with you. The Second Founder was Rev. Tokuchika Miki, who passed away Feb. 2. 1983. Our current ( Third ) Founder is Rev Takahito Miki

The PL 21 Precepts are the basis of the PL Teachings. They reveal the true path of life for all humankind. Beginning with PRECEPT #1 Life is Art” – It is these precepts that I write about and live in my life on a daily basis. For me PL is a way of life. Not just a philosophy or teaching. Like the TAO it transcends all earthly definition.
