Sunday

I spied through the trees the most brilliant colours, the sun was filtering through the canopy of green, lighting up and creating a halo over the vivid shades of autumn that had begun to emerge against the emerald backdrop that surrounded them. Such moments make me aware how wonderous the world around me can be.

Yesterday I had remarked how aging isn’t for the faint of heart.. yet I had experienced the above moment that morning, I had spent wonderful hours in the company of good friends, heard about a wedding that my friend had officiated at… (such happiness and joy .. young love is so tender, passionate and innocent) watched the birds arrive for the buffet of seed, suet and nuts that awaited them…. talked with fellow nature hikers along the woodland trail, and been blessed with the love and patience of my two whippets. Just to name a few of my heart to heart moments I had.. Life is super fantastically good. Why was I going on about aging isn’t for the faint of heart. ???? Could it be I was letting negativity creep in because….. hmmm yes.. why…. I was allowing negativity to creep in because physically I have slowed down, not necessarily by choice, but because my body simply does not want to rush around like it used to…

Oh joy! was I having a “poor me” moment. We all have them, and nothing is ever 100% sunshine and blue skies, but.. these moments pass. The clouds lift, the rain passes, and we move on. Thank you Universe for friends. Where would we be without them. Show appreciation today and always for the blessings in our lives. It is ok to give in from time to time and wallow or complain, it is human.. BUT know that it is only a passing feeling/thought/moment… and move on.

Be cheerful and friendly with those around you. Use money and things usefully and enthusiastically. Money and things are materials for self expression. Use them joyfully with appreciation.
