Standing Still

Standing Still

Frozen in Time – sculpted out of wire, apoxie sculpt and fabric this garden fairy likes her crystals, she carries them with her so that the sun and day light will catch and reflect prisms of colour all around her. The stump she stands on was part of a tree she used to love for the shade it provided on the hot summer days. She came inside one year, to grace the mantel, to this day she is still there. There is a window there, and during the bright winter days, when the sun comes shining through … her garland dances sending a rainbow of colour through the room.

Do we stand still in life, or do we constantly want to be on the move? Lately I’ve been forced to spend more time.. standing still… LOL or should I say, having a lie down =^_^=

Like the garden fairy with her crystals, when the dust gathers on her beads, the rainbow of colours is less dazzling. When she was outside, Mother Nature, bathed her in spring, summer and fall with showers, pelting rains and blew soft whispers of breeze through her strand of crystals.

When we stop and allow the world around us to “really be seen” It is surprising what we “see” and realize about where we are in life, and how we are coping with the realities.

Have the courage to really look at where you are, have you been standing still? Is dust gathering on “your crystals”

Prayer is our garland of light, the Universe speaks to us everyday, and in many ways. It is in mindfulness that we
hear and see the Divine connection.

Blessings everyone, may the light of life shine brightly on you today.and always.

50 shades of cold

50 shades of cold

You don’t only feel the cold, we can see it transforming the landscape around us. Saying STOP,is like whispering into the wind. In conversation with my sister we talked of aging, and of course being that it was my sister, I was musing out loud about the challenges of the last few weeks and heard myself say that if aging was about taking medications, being unwell and consistently challenged, well I was not, repeat NOT happy about it all.

2013-11-17 nov 17 2013 011Then this morning, I looked out my window at my friends who were patiently waiting for the snow to come.  The yard has been tidied and ready for the winter weather that we get here in this part of Canada.  Paths have been cleared, plants/shrubs cut back so that the dogs will have room to navigate when they go out for their exercise and fun in the snow.   Canaille loves to run through the fresh snow and chase after her ball.  Velcro (whippet) well that is a different story, he is in and out in record breaking time.  But being a whippet, he has to burn off energy, so he follows the track Canaille has made and runs at break neck speed over the trail.   Thus we clear it of  objects that can obstruct.

2013-11-17 nov 17 2013 014I noticed that one of the garden fairies has put herself in a lying position, she is using a rock to cushion and protect her from the blanket of snow that will soon cover her and keep her safe from the bitter winter winds.  As I sit and survey my private garden, much like Canaille does when we are just sitting watching the world go by,  I realize that when the summer growth is abundant, many of the “little people” are not visible to the eye.  They are there, they just are not seen, but their presence never-the-less is still felt, all who come to the garden feel the “calm” they infuse into the setting.

Now with the greenery gone, they are laid bare.  Today, I spent time with each and everyone of them, renewing my connection and feeling the bond that we share, for at one time I placed them there,  Unlike me, they can’t come in out of the cold, they accept and patiently wait out the changing seasons.  Every year, the time and weather takes its toll.  Like me they are growing old.

2013-11-17 nov 17 2013 043Smile the “old man” says, smile when you feel sad, he is always smiling, I love him, seeing him today, made me realize that my challenge today will be to pray that I will have the inner strength  to endure patiently (like my garden friends)  the changing seasons.  Soon the snow will come, and I too will be embraced in magic of the falling snowflakes.

2013-11-17 nov 17 2013 030A step at a time we find our way home.  This little kitten was tossed into a heap of broken and unwanted concrete  at a shop where only the perfect pieces were wanted for display .. she was not content to stay buried in the rubble,  where she was tossed, she found her way to where she could be seen, =^_^= that’s right, I found her, and now she has a home here with me.

2013-11-17 nov 17 2013 025My garden brings me joy in all of its incarnations.

I took time today to reconnect….if you feel my sadness … don’t worry, it will pass… I’ve learned in life, not to suppress emotion, for to know sadness it to have known great joy and happiness.   The Universe is is simply giving me “space” “time” to appreciate my realities.

A Testimony from Spain

This is the” voice” of a PL member in Spain,  I have left her words her own, I hope it touches you as much as it touched me to read what she has to day.  Today at church, I talked of appreciation, and now this evening I have her email, that reaffirms to me how valuable living in Perfect Liberty is.

I entered in PL the 24th of October of 2009, thanks to a fellow worker and great friend Maria del Carmen Larios, who had returned to Spain her country after 15 years in Argentina. I net Maria del Carmen because she gave me classes of how develop better my business in Madrid, every class I observed her the way she moves and talks and how she acts doing things very different from the others, with a full philosophy of attitude, with love, generosity, being useful to the others  never waiting anything back from others.

That power, that big example called totally my attention, besides other leaders from our company never taught us so big and so splendid, they always expect something back from us.   She always told us to be better to the society, taking a message of hope, harmony, well-being and she always taught us that everything is possible if it is done with “Art”.

I remember that many afternoons I asked her about her philosophy of life and talk about PL for hours, she said to me that it was thanks to the practice of a Japanese religion, call PL.

I astonished myself reading the prayers book and the newspapers she showed me those days. She started to share with me the PL lessons and principles.    Thanks to PL I have been able to totally understand, experience  the FAITH, because I come from a catholic religious education  and even I always have faith I could not understand it the way I do it now.

After some months Maria del Carmen started to spread the PL religion with other colleagues and we all love it, she has done it so strongly and with so much affection that we all have began to have a better life practicing this religion.  We meet once a week in our office to pray and to receive knowledge of PL. Maria del Carmen is a big example and she shares her art with us.

Thanks to PL I am much happier in life, I always love life but during the last 3 years I got divorced and it was hard to handle because my divorce has being traumatic, long process and painful.   My 8 years old son is also a PL member  and thanks to PL we are going through this process with love and hope. Both of us feel the Oshieoya-sama blessings every day.

I have being  in Japan this summer for the Rensei and it has being the more extraordinary experience I have ever had in life.  I have no words to explain the experience but definitively every member of PL should have the dream and bless of being once there. It has being the first time in PL history that a caravan of 6 Spanish people go to Seichi Japan.  These has being possible thanks to Maria del Carmen´s and Sensei Mizunoe blessings and effort.  Thank you to all members of PL for your prayers and well doing.

Thank you Ana for sharing your “heart” with us.  Thank Maria and say hello to everyone in Spain for us.  I hope to get to see you in the new year.

Good morning everyone!

Good morning everyone!

We all see things so differently. When I stepped outside after dinner to my delight I found snow on the deck. The first snow is always so pretty, everything looks like its been sugar coated. =^_^=

“my grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness” – 11 Corinthians 12:9

Appreciate the gifts you have in life,…
I could see and enjoy the first flakes of snow, and the pretty picture they made for me to enjoy. My Mother who is legally blind, can no longer appreciate seeing the snow, but when told that it has happened, she can relive the memory from her earlier days.
Remember to share your gifts – Try not to squander what can be life’s greatest treasures, don’t take for granted your God given talents.

Reach out. Step outside the box. Tell someone you care. You are beautiful,, smile and bring sunshine into your world today. It all begins with YOU.

God Bless and keep you safe…..

Food for the spirit

Food for the spirit

We make sure we feed our stomachs are we as focused and dedicated to maintaining the nourishment of our “spirits”. How often do we make time for a good sit down visit with God/Universe. we would not think of leaving the house or starting our day without a shower and brushing our teeth. Yet we are quick to rush out of the house to go about our daily activities without making sure our mental and spiritual needs are met and in good health.
Prayer and meditation are very important in mental and spiritual well being.
Times should be set aside every day for a personal tune up. Whether it is 5, 10 , or 15/20 minutes a day.  We take care of our bodies, we have our heart rates checked, blood pressure, and teeth tended to on a regular basis yet procrastinate or simply neglect  the  most important connection in living a balanced life, our mental health & spiritual wellness.

PL offers us a unique way to stay tuned to our spiritual wellness requirements. through personal one on one consultations with a PL minister you can work together with the minister, to help you  maneuver  through your life’s journey and all its intricacies,

WE each and every one of us is “special”, and live a “unique to us” lifestyle, therefore, we all have to find the right way and schedule to  find the way that works for us.  If you are not sure, or want to consult with  someone, please contact us.  Perfect Liberty is International, contact me if you need specific information/referral.  Use the comment part of this blog, I will respond to you (usually within 48 hours, if not much sooner)

The vegetable you see above, is a cross between a cauliflower and broccoli in taste.  I steamed mine, then seasoned it with garlic butter and pepper.  don;t overdo the butter, you need only a little drizzle it over the flowers, let it sit for about 3 minutes and delight in the taste.  I steam the veggie just enough to soften it a wee bit.  Remember I love my crunch.  Last night I served it with a shrimp and leek dumplings that were dipped in  Sriracha hot chili sauce (dr Oz approved sauce!)  I’ll be honest with you, I can’t remember why he was advising it as a good condiment to have and use, I use it because I really LIKE it.  I will use it with almost anything when I want that “punch” or “zing” to whatever it is I’m eating.  5 calories per serving (1 tsp)

Take care of all of you.  Eat your veggies and keep your meats lean.  Seeing this temping hot chili sauce. might cook up a batch of dry garlic giblets for snacking on at lunch time.  Can eat them with a bowl of steamed bok choy and slices of raw white radish.  Oh slow down girl, you’ve just had your breakfast…

Sending love and hugs your way.. with lots of Blessings!

Appreciation

Appreciation

One day follows the next. With the cooler weather, now when you are walking around downtown, the outdoor patios are taken down, the street huskers have gone inside, and the market vendors are dwindling down to the the last of the ” die-hards”. People are hurrying rather than lazily taking in the day, and some are already bundled up warding off the cold.
We can look out at the world or we can participate.

Mishirase > Divine warning, in the form of an illness, a misfortune, an accident, pain or suffering

PL teaches about “Mishirase”, which appears in our lives in the form of illnesses, injuries, hardships and natural disasters.  These Mishirase that could be considered unlucky, are in actuality, warnings given by the “Universe” to show us that we are  having a poor understanding of the “material/info” that we are being given, thus, we have difficulty expressions our “true” selves.  God may be showing us that we are overly attached to our own thoughts and are expressing ourselves “unnaturally”

Human beings are born with the ability to experience pain so they can avoid pushing their bodies beyond natural limits.  If you bend your finger too far back, you will experience pain,  a warning that to continue to push your finger past the point of pain would result in a broken finger.  In the same way, the “pains” we experience in life are “reminders from “God” that you are pushing something beyond what is natural.

Who belongs to the face that is looking out, or back at you?  In Canaille’s picture, you see her, you can tell she is a dog, if you look really hard, you can see Velcro in the background.  But the picture is of Canaille, its a face, who is she, and what does the face tell you/us.  I ask only because I have been faced with seeing the face that looks back at me every day.  Does the face you see, really tell you about who a person is, or was.  Yes I say was, because in life, whether we want to or not, we are constantly changing, some changes we orchestrate ourselves,  others are made for us.

For instance, can you tell when you look at me now that I was one of the first “Eurasians” (not even a term heard today in 2013) in television back in “my day”… I was a model, it was live TV, we had to run off stage and change behind a (barely private) screen.  My hands opened and closed a weekly show, each slice of bread was a credit.  I was Miss Jade East, somewhere there is a photo to attest to that.  Media was different back then. I’ve written for magazines and journals that are simply non existent now.  Too short for the high fashion runway, I was also considered too short for the assignments in the fashion houses, however my “look/beauty” was exotic for that time/period.  I was too young to know that I was part of a ground breaking era, television was new and exciting business to be in.  I simply lived it.

Living in the moment has been a super huge blessing in my life.  When one lives in the moment there are a lot of advantages in life, we live the moment and we move on.  Because we appreciate each and every moment, often the past is really “history” for us, and when we look back at what was, or what “personality/character” was playing the leading role, it is often with interest and curiosity, much like watching a rerun on television.

While out with a friend, she took a picture of me and later sent it to me.  That was weeks ago now, I’ve actually looked at it a few times now, each time I look at it, I wonder who I was on that day.  I look familiar, but I can’t say for certain it is me.  Yet physically it is, I’m sure Christianne didn’t snap a picture of a stranger that happened to be in her space at the time..

When I read the Pl teachingLet’s first Accept and Appreciate Things as They Are.  Even when dealing with someone you don’t like or when you are facing an uncomfortable situation, take a moment to first accept whatever comes your way.  There is always something that you can learn from these situations.  I take a look at Canaille’s picture, and of the one Christianne sent me, and muse out loud to you, hmmm is this woman really me,  Can I accept and appreciate all the “things” she is to me?  A good meditation for me today.

Thank YOU for sharing this moment with me… sigh, OK, I’ll post the picture of me.  why not… I have to stop hiding from the face that other’s see.

Drat haven’t found or learned how to make the picture smaller when I load it.  (see the part of me that wants to control is being over ridden by the Power that IS..)

UNBOUNDED BLESSINGS – now and always
