tick one more item off my bucket list. meet my forever dragon.
I have been a lifetime living with a mystical dragon who roamed the galaxy .. coming home from time to time to tell of his adventures or to lend support. Yesterday the wonderful tat artist from Brisbane, Australia was back in Ottawa (Samantha Read).. I was one of the fortunate ones able to book with her for this visit. Thank you Sam, I have waited a long time for my dragon to appear. You can see Sam’s work on Instagram,https://www.instagram.com/samreadtattoos/ she travels the globe, who knows you may be lucky and she will be headed your way at some time. Tats are not for everyone, you remember when I got my bee those many years ago. It was a big step for me… but I took it… and with that first step, came many “adventures”. I stepped out of my comfort zone, and found a whole new world of possibilities.

I’m a tattoo free zone but respect everyone’s right to do what they want with their skin – enjoy!
I was too.. I got my first one, after I turned 70! it was a bee. I wanted to tell everyone how important it was to save the bees …I had it put on my right arm just above the wrist where I had had a very small surgical incision done.. everyone always asked me what happened. I eventually asked my husband, would he agree (he as dead set against tats).. but he understood .. I was constantly having to explain why I had that small scar.. Sam did the tat of the bee over the scar… Now.. everyone asks, why a bee .. and I have the opening to talk about the importance of saving them.
Now I have a third, and it will be my last. but… then… who knows… life is what it is.. I had never in my life ever thought I would have a tat.. but with life, and all its changes.. …. I’ve learned never to say never.. (smiles) sends morning hug.
