Last few days of tranquility, soon there will be outdoor activity with the smell of the fresh new growth, sunlight warm on bare arms and winter pale legs. When friends post the sights and wonders of their backyards, and places that they can wander and enjoy, it brings me such a joy, such shared happiness. Friends are what makes our day-to-day so magical. Each one is like a jewel, with its very own facets and brilliance. Unlike an object, friends are priceless.
I know I keep repeating how much I appreciate and love you all, can’t help it. You all bring such richness into my life that I am at a loss to explain why I have been so blessed.
Blessed I am.

Signs like this often send my writer’s mind into a fantasy, a story starts to emerge, and I am lost in thought. I know now after years of chasing rusted pieces that inspire tales of bygone years, to park well off the road, where I can sit a spell and enjoy my “wanderings” I am often asked where do I go, what do I do, why am I always out in my car driving the roads and highways. I am an explorer, of urban and country wonders that are most often not really seen by others, but for me they are rich in dreams, hopes, and evoke mystery and fantasy.

Thanksgiving
Bom dia, good morning..
The 21st is drawing near. There is a long week-end coming up. For those of you celebrating Easter, enjoy your time with family and friends. It is a special week-end. In PL we celebrate Thanksgiving on the 21st.
The Thanksgiving service is the 21st of each month. It is the most important service of the month. This Sunday will be a very positive and prayer filled day. Our church here in Ottawa will hold service at 10 a.m. and again at 7 pm. All are welcome.

Have clear goals and take appropriate actions.
Always begin with a clear idea of what your goals are. Once you have pinpointed the target for your actions, things will move forward much more smoothly.
With the nicer weather, more and more people are spending time outdoors getting reacquainted with the local parks and trails. Doing inventory in the garden, what is preparing to reappear, what has been lost or not doing so well. Each day truly is a new beginning.

Live with firm determination, that “this will turn out for the best” Everything in this world progresses and develops. Always be positive, knowing that everything will turn out for the best
Someone once asked me did I ever get tired of being a “Pollyanna” for those of you unfamiliar with that expression, it usually was used to describe someone who was always cheerful and looking for positives. I like being happy, and I work towards that goal. I sometimes miss the mark by a long mile and another times it takes only a smile to bring my happy back.
That does not mean that I don’t feel disappointment, and at times, totally sad and have no choice but to live through my emotion of that moment. It passes, meanwhile, my body, my mind needed that cleansing. PL Precept #5 One’s self is lost by being emotional Live the moment and move on.

My thanks to a dear and wonderful friend, who was out with his camera and came across these new blooms. Spring blossoms are so welcoming, so darn full of determination .. their crisp green and vibrant yellows peeking out after one of Nature’s last snow flings.

what are you doing May 5th
Plan ahead, come to Ottawa, come enjoy the city, … come meet the dogs, and bring your own. The Byward Market a tourist attraction right in the down town of Ottawa, minutes from the Parliament buildings. This is a day for walking enjoying the day, the shops and fabulous snacks and meals on the Market.
There will be Pup-Up shops, Patio & Pups, Paw Prints, Bones and treats, Pup Tails, PTSD/Service Rescue.

Happy start to another day! It is Thursday, the week has flown by. Already we are celebrating the 11th of the month. Ancestors Day.

Nothing can take the place of good friends, they make you smile, save your bxtt when you think there is no end in sight and give comfort just in being who they are. I feel humbled to have such amazing friends.
