prachtig – beautiful

Enchanted castle, mysterious, magical

To be an elf, or fairy, that I could play and dance

through all the many rooms.

Lie and listen to the crystal waters

dancing and whispering

as they weave through the rocks and moss.

What a dream to weave this Friday

Come play with me

We will explore and discover

what lies in the long forgotten rooms

We will laugh and giggle

oh what fun,

we’ll mingle with the birds and animals

that play in the world around us

not a single moment will we squander

For today, we are free

to live the way we want to be

Let us make today

a ME day.

Sem reclamar – not complaining

~ the message of sadness~

like a garden overgrown with flowers

an abundance of color

an ambiance fragrant and clean

even on days when I am weary

and my heart heavy

and I know not what each moment is made of

I feel

I look

but I don’t see

deep down I am accepting

that this is simply

another day

and

when tomorrow comes

I will once more

tend the flowers

and make my way

towards the open door

and beckoning sky

not complaining

accepting

that not every day

no matter how I pray

will I find

peace

on this given day

one day, one step at a time

I move towards

the unknown

into the mist

So tired, I found a place to lay my head

slowly I felt the tension ease away

the world was quiet, yes there were sounds

but somehow, I knew that they were not part of me

I was safe in my space, this warm welcoming embrace

I am set adrift

like the quiet days at the cottage

when I could paddle on the lake while the mist still danced

along the water and the soft sounds of nature

filled my head with joys of solitude

when I was ONE with nature

and my heart, body and soul

found peace

on warm summer days I made my way

through the trees, to the cottage on the cliff

the sun would shine through the trees,

the rough path to get there

always familiar to my feet

I’d climbed it since my youth

now, love and faith

draws me home

ahead there is a light

I know my loved ones wait for me there

its been a good life

can you hear me God

I’m coming home

Quiet day…

Some days

there is no other way

to enjoy the waking hours of the day

but to the let mind play

and have its own way

With God’s grace

I’m going to slow my pace

and enjoy my space

it is with the utmost sincerity

but I am determined that today

A valentine

I passed a display of valentine cards today

“you make my heart sing and dance”

said a happy dog with a big smile on his face

“a valentine hug just for you”

a pretty blue bird chirped as it sang from a tree

The sentiments I saw today, were not like the ones of yesterday

when we wrote out a poem,

or picked carefully so that the card spoke what we couldn’t say

and of course, always we hoped there would be mail when we got home

Some for sure, were really corny

and some were just so darn mushy

but honey, you and I know,

that even though you said you didn’t care

if a valentine came your way or not

it meant a lot, when someone said they cared.

So guys and gals, you have plenty of time

to find a special card

that says, be my Valentine

Find one that is ” Eggzactly” right for that special friend or friends

and share a smile that will run for miles

saying simply, a heart/hug from me to you….

Love you, each and every one of you.

my dream of peace

On the first of every month

the church has a ceremony for peace

yet my heart yearns for peace

with each beat of my heart

Like the mist on a cold winter day

I whisper softly the sentiment I feel, into the words I pray

and hope that some day

every day, will be a day of peace.

out of the winter mist

the light of love will glow

and as it draws nearer

we will all be bathed in a wordless understanding

that will deliver us from the fears

and insecurities that bind us to a world

that is man made, and not

Nature’s WAY

Peace lives in my heart

Peace is God’s gift to all of us

Peace is love without borders, boundaries or definition

Love is how we bring peace into our lives

Unconditional love

make it part of each and every moment of our lives

Let us pray together

and nurture this wish for

Universal Oneness

I’ve heard the expression, it’s just “a hole in the wall”, but this house in Vals, Switzerlannd, is certainly different. For sure you are not in view of your neighbours, and you are not disrupting the surrounding landscape. I also wondered what the view out was…

This house is in Trassenheide, Germany, and if you think that it is a stand alone, it isn’t. There are many more such homes in other parts of the world. Why anyone would like to live in a house that appears to be upside down, I don’t know, but if you research it, there are such homes, and people do love them, live in them and enjoy them.

This next picture has nothing to do with houses/architecture, but it is an interesting find. don’t scroll down right away … see if you know what it is.

The above is called a mortdsafe and is a unique Scottish invention. It came about in the 18th and 19th centuries to prevent grave robbing. Scotland was rampant with body snatching, thus a way to crate and deter. Examples have been found close to Scottish medical schools.!!

This delightful build in Tokyo, Japan, is by architect Yasuhiro Yamashita,crowded cities, with small lots means that creativity is a must. Home is where the heart is, home is what you make it. No matter where you live or how you live, it is what or where you chose to be … or why are you there. We can enjoy other landscapes, we can travel the world, we can fly, take boat cruises, there is a lot to see when we venture outside our familiar environments. In the end though, no matter where we land, we are always still ourSELVES. No physical distances or weird and unique inventions will take away the fact, that you are who you are. How you adorn your life, is of no matter, when you look in the mirror, it is YOU, you will see.

Tianzi Mountain, so uniquely tall and thin, they were used by James Cameron in the filming of the movie “Avatar”. Some of the columns of stone pillars have reached over 4,000 feet above sea level.
