he’s a social one, he invites his friends. to the dining area, . but he has kept the trunk to himself. waves to you across the miles.

I think he was just being kind and thoughtful. Saving you the trouble and backache of lugging the food out of your car. Possibly even spilling some on the ground and having it wasted on those pesky birds. 🙂
