Found her yesterday in a thrift store. Brought her home with the intention of revamping her, reconstructing her body, the whole nine yards. I washed her hair, combed it.. and felt that if I changed her, she would no longer be the doll that caught my eye. She will stay the way she is.

Unexpected is when something happens you are not expecting, or prepared for. Yet even knowing that death is immanent, that it is jut a matter of time. The loss is a void without words, without reprieve.
I struggle at times to find the words, or a way of expressing how I feel, then I found this picture. I could relate. It is not a burden to be carried, it simply IS.
It doesn’t mean that life stops, it doesn’t. My physical being is still intact, still living, laughing, loving and yet…. “I” am not the same.
There is life in and under the water, but should I try to live there, I would not survive. I am a creature of the land, I need air to breathe.

The magnolias are not happy with the rain and cooler temperatures, but they did give us a few days of breathtaking perfection. Such is life – be in the moment, tomorrow is another day.

Object, considering a class at Scrapbook Centrale, pick up deck of cards. Live in Ottawa, drive to Montreal for deck of cards. ????
Look again, see the deck of cards. No I don’t either. I went next door to a Dollar store to find a deck, and it took walking up and down the aisles several times. I kid you not.
Crab burger with special taters at Copper Branch, and a return journey home, What was this in aid of. Natalie announced a 3 day week-end o classes with Seth Aptner (23 to 25th of August ) at Scrapbook Central 888 383 5558
The workshop that I had considered taking, was one that involved 52 cards (standard playing cards) Having purchased the playing cards, and begun the first step of putting black gesso on a few…..I am now, no longer considering that class. Yup.. I have been drawn to brighter more electric colours and find myself reviewing options.
Research is good. So is change, timing is everything.
PL Day 26 Put your whole heart into whatever you do, no matter when or where you are.
Don’t try to cut corners or be careless about things. Be fully responsible completing whatever you set out to do.
It is a bit of a drive to Montreal, but the inspiration I get there, the ability to see and enjoy the creativity of others AND the vast array of products allows me plenty of fodder to research.

Everything that happens to us happens for a reason. Each and every occurrence is a chance for you to improve yourself.
Abstract art – Keeping it together. Life happens, like the seasons, one day flows seamlessly into another, it happens. The weather, the time of day, they just happen. Meanwhile, we (life) progress through theses changes, sailing through, at times limping, whatever, we all manage. We do the best we can, with what we have.
Living the PL “way” means we appreciate and give thanks for all the blessings in our lives, and for the opportunities and lessons along the way.

Yesterday I was jolted out of my musings by an artist(Seth Apter) I was unfamiliar with. I had received an e-mail about 3 days of workshops with him in the fall. Attending workshops is not something I am apt to do, but I am a regular at this particular store, and have found that the owner there, keeps up with the latest in the mixed media news. The store is a treasure for art/craft supplies.
I was sufficiently motivated, that I dressed and headed out the door in search of a stamp that he had used, and to research his embossing powders. My first stop was about 50-60 miles from my place. Heading out towards Montreal I suddenly realized that on my left in the lanes coming into the city, were not a few dozen but miles of cars bumper to bumper inching their way into the city. Commuters, people who live on the edges of the city trying to get to work,
It was jaw dropping to see so many people patiently making their way west. As far as the eye could see, coming along the major roadways every vehicle one can imagine. I am retired, and know to leave my house after the “rush hour” It was somewhere between 8:30 and 9. I gave thanks right there and then, that I am now in a different phase of “life”. It was very appropriate when I saw this little sign in the Dollar Tree, when I dropped in.
Please dear reader, if you, like I, have the freedom to explore, discover and live a less structured day to day. Say a prayer of appreciation today, thank the Universe for your life as it is now, and include prayers of support and energy for those who live along beside us, coping and dealing with the phases in their lives that is their “moment in time”
