Sunny Saturday

blogged june 8

torn from a journal page

a memory from another day

I sit wondering

just where my thoughts lay

on that other day so far away

where eyes that seem to drown in  sadness

were what spoke to me

while I was pondering

that day is long gone

I have long moved on

still, that was me,

at that time and place

I like it, but thankfully, today is another day

I am headed out to explore what comes my way

YOU are in my heart

today and always

acceptance and appreciation

chop suey Friday

Sticks and stones, rocks, brick, lumber, everything in life, is canvas ready.  each day a new beginning. Art is everywhere.  To each his/her own…..  creativity begins within.

I remember when I began landscaping in earnest, I would pick up driftwood, rocks cast off metal objects, an empty lot was a huge canvas .. one that would grow and give me a new “view” every season and year.

PL Precept #1  – life is art

Make every day count.  Share your beautiful/handsome smile today, Life is good!!

Thursday doors

Thursday doors, today the flavour is from Perth, Ontario.  A quiet, picturesque little town about an hours drive from Ottawa.

PL calendar day 6    Past,, present or future, always remember to be sincere and honest.  At any time, the place where you  are standing at that moment is the stage upon which you must express yourself.  At each moment in time there is sure to be a way to express yourself in relation your your position or status.

Wednesday 5th

Someone has not had breakfast yet.  What am I doing with all these food photos?  thankfully I can truly say, MOST of these meals were not mine. The stomachs that most of these foods were digested by, were in the States.. =^_^=

In Japan most restaurants, cafes etc. post the dishes they serve outside at the door, so the customer can know what they want to order when they come in.

I am already contemplating dinner/lunch out. HINT bitmoji-20190415064912

PL calendar day 5    Start by thinking  “this is interesting”

Even when you are dealing with a “difficult” situation, it is important to find something interesting about it.  From there you will be blessed with wisdom and something new will come out of it

working and living

2006a

Working and living =^_^=   go together – living in the NOW means you are interacting and being present all day, whether it is work or play, you are involved.  by putting your best into all you do, the experience is uniquely yours.  What ever you do today, enjoy it. Yes, really… do your best.

PL calendar day 4 – Follow your heart while also thinking about the happiness of others.

Junho 4, Pense em felicitar a si e aos outros, sendo honesto consigo.

orphans

What to do, they all can’t come home with me.  If you are an avid landscaper, flowers, trees and shrubs,  you know, how cute and lovely they are when you bring them home, they will grow and spread out.  There has to be an awareness of the long range “presentation” or you will be in for a rude awakening when they grow up if you have not allowed for their maturing.

Same applies in life with anything that you bring home that has  life of its own.  It lives, breathes and develops, just like you do.  Even under the same skies, latitude and longitude, nothing will be seen or experienced the same way.  Life is multi dimensional, the only constant is change.

Accept, Appreciate, all that is in your life.  today is NOW, worrying about yesterday  or tomorrow, takes away from NOW.

Sunday morning

demo new and more

Mixed media….   then..  (found in a thrift shop) bigger white canvas, and the small one is a demo I did to show the use of acrylics, inks, stamps and colours available today.  The contrast appealed to me yesterday.  My intention is to recycle the white canvas.  Stay tuned.

PL Principle #3   will live with a mind of appreciation towards others and things

I have  a huge appreciation for the work that went into doing the big white canvas, it was actually one of 3 pieces.  the middle piece was hexagon and bigger and wider.  Must have made a wonderful  wall piece.

PL Precept # 1 All things progress and develop.

Hit your stride, get out there and enjoy the day.  Love is everywhere, smile and share.
