Friday

Sometimes we have to make decisions that we would rather not make. We put off doing something because it is not a easy decision to make. We think about what is bothering us, we dissect it, we review all the options, we consider the number of years we have been involved with the people/organization that is part of the equation. In the end, we have to gather all the pertinent information and review it carefully.

PL Principle #1 I will live paying careful attention, putting Makoto into all I say and do,

PL Principle #2 I will not have complaints about others, matters, nor the weather. Rather I will always be creative and will look for shortcomings in my own thinking and actions.

I have been very upset about something that is happening in an environment that I am involved with/in. So upset that I realized that I was not only upset, I was/ am feeling used. In reviewing the circumstances, I didn’t feel that I was personally being abused or mistreated by the situation, but never the less the “anger” in me was/is very real…. so saying, I decided that to make a proper decision, I needed to confront, and be honest and open about my feelings and why I was /or am ready to disassociate myself with the situation.

PL Principle # 6 I will not be stubborn, being captured by my own thoughts.

So I have made arrangements to listen to the “other side” with an open mind…. and then from there I will review my “headspace” again.

Meanwhile I am taking a step back, and will listen to the silence for awhile.

How is your day ? I wish for you a happy and positive week-end.

When we see something but can’t get to it easily. Do you persist at trying to get to where you want to go, from the exact same place you are standing, or do you try another avenue., Do you consider other alternatives? Do you ask yourself the question, “is it important, do I really need to go, or be there?”

Every day, we are faced with having to make a decision of some kind or other. It could be a simple decision, should I jay walk or should I walk to the corner where there is a cross walk? Do I want to eat now or in half an hour? There is no one else to make those decisions for you, they are one’s you make on your own.

What we forget is that, we are responsible for our own actions. If you decide to cross where there is no cross walk or light, then you are assuming the responsibility for your actions.

The road ahead isn’t always without it’s challenges, but it will always lead us somewhere. There is always other possibilities around a corner/bend.

… always …try to start your day in a positive way….

PL Principle #3 I will live with a mind of appreciation towards others and things.

A minute of thought – is worth more than an hour of talk

Don’t let circumstances sway your decision. It does not help to overthink things. Sometimes we just need to make up our minds and move forward.

Saturday

A wooly face that always makes me smile.

Everything that happens to you is material for growth.

Approach everything with firm belief that, “it will turn out for the best” Anything can be used as material for progress and development.

Living with cats has been a new adventure for me. Even tho’ I had cats for years in a bygone day… the most recent companions over the many years (more recently) were canine. Big difference. The cats and I have had to adjust … them to an eccentric eclectic human (they were rescues) and I… well… good thing they are patient..

Tomorrow we start another month. It is also the 1st, there will be a 10 a.m. service at church.. See you there if you can make it.

waiting

Every morning, these two sit at the “window” and wait to see what will flit or pop up … there are birds of all shape and sizes… squirrels that come running up to grab a peanut… there are a ton of specialty programs put together for cats/dogs …. and they like to review them all. Who knew, they actually watch the telly more than I do. I might average a couple of times a month… they expect access every day. When a mouse scampers past or comes out of a hole… it’s an event.

Now with the sun streaming in through the patio doors they have taken to maintaining a watch from that vantage point too, I realize that the whole apartment is actually bathed in sunshine for most of the day, In June I will have been here a year… Has it made a difference … yes… I’m still working out just how much, but for sure, it has changed a”lot”, some changes are more subtle than others.

It is like .. one shoe fell, now I’m waiting to see if the other one falls and if it will match the one that has already fallen.

This is a good one for me today!!!

Let’s have a humble mind

Once you think, “That’s good enough,” you become blind to the opportunities to be more creative.

Sunday

a wee owl resting in the trees.

The picture has been cropped so that the location of the wee one is not easily determined. Yes I am one of the nature lovers who protects the wild life .. from onlookers who come and destroy the peace and tranquility of the woodlands …. it is unfortunate, but I have seen too many scenes of mobs who treat the wee ones like a sideshow.

Good morning everyone..

You gain strength through your hardships

Whatever you learn easily or master effortlessly tends to be forgotten. The lessons you gain through repeated mistakes are what gives you genuine strength.

PL2014.29
