Monday morning sunshine

Sometimes I need to listen to something different. Why? because I want to enjoy and appreciate the vocal styling, the emotions of the singer(s) and the music that haunts and weaves a musical thread through my dreams.

Like music, we all have different ways of thinking and seeing the world. People have different thoughts and opinions,what ever differences you encounter today, I hope you will listen and take advantage of seeing /hearing a different perspective.

Artist and Holidays

It is September right. If you are a craft person, or an artist, what are you doing right now? working on Halloween or Xmas? If like me your passion to create has you sewing, making, baking, pickling, sculpting, painting your studio/craft room has got to be one big jumble of on the go projects.
Some of my friends are very organized, I myself am a clutter pro, don’t touch my “mess” cuz I know where everything is. Sign at door should say, “enter at your own risk”.

Why am I telling you all this you ask? Because I know that many of you out there are my mirror image.. we tidy, get everything organized when we are in non productive mode.. but, once we start on our projects, there is no stopping us, time disappears, and the ideas are coming fast and furious.

If we stop to look around, we could get discouraged, however, **The key to success is to continue without giving up ** You need to continue and persevere to make your wishes and goals come true. Once you start something, see it through to the end.** this is a PL teaching that works for me every time. Sometimes I need to read it again, when I hit a lull, but by practicing PL every day, I get a lot more done.

I go to bed smiling and feel the smile in my sleep, Life is good.. and I’m here to share it with you. Creativity makes the world go round, when we accomplish something, we feel good, and our smiles work their magic for miles around us.

Smile, today is the start of a brand new day. Loving Blessings to you all!

quinta-ferian todo mundo- Thursday hola!

Now this was exciting. I’ve been to fireworks before, we are lucky that here in Canada’s capital area there is a big casino that hosts International firework competitions every summer. Countries come from all over the world to compete, the shows are mind boggling.

However dear readers, this humble picture taken with my smart phone was one of many I took trying to capture the thrill and excitement of being right under the captivating spell of a dazzling display of fireworks (in Japan) that lasted about 45 minutes. One magnificent show of colour and artistry after another. You really had to be there. (I have been promised pictures from other members who had cameras, video cams etc. I’ll share when they arrive)

That is pretty much what life is like isn’t it. We can be spectators to what is going on around us, or we can be participants. Pl encourages us to Challenge everything with enthusiasm
Get in there… be the star of your own moment….
You will be rewarded with joy and new encounters that will give long lasting happy memories.

Oh Boy! It’s Thursday.. wow where has the week gone..
Isn’t life a blast. (am I dating myself again!) =^_^=

On the right is Rev. Tokuo Itagaki, this man was tireless in his encouragement and hosting of all events! The “go to” man for everything. This picture came to me from a PL member from California (thanks Harry) in it you can see more of the entertainers who came by to share time with us.
(Kappa-Za children’s Theatre Group) The key figure that you saw yesterday and is also in this picture is Kimaru. When you chant his name, he comes out to play =^_^=

Well dear reader, here we are half way through the week, amazing eh. Has it been a good week so far?

Today’s teaching on the PL calendar is
“Letting Go of Your Ego Will Make You a Stronger Person”
If you are always caught up with power,status or appearances, you will have a hard time accomplishing anything of worth.
Let go and express yourself fully

Yesterday I am pleased to say that I managed very nicely to avoid any of the above “traps”, kept to myself, got what I wanted and needed to be done accomplished, all with a smile .. A smile works wonders. Granted I was one tired puppy by the time I got home, but I slept like a lamb.

Life isn’t always full of joy filled moments, but if we (me, myself and I) keep a smile and a happy disposition, the day usually works out to be ok, laughter does win the day.

Enjoy the day, if you live far away, enjoy what is left of the day and have a wonderful night of carefree dreams.

May healing energies bless those of you needing the healing “hug”, If you have extra energy to give, pray that those needing our love feel it in their lives today.

PL Peace Tower - Holy Land - Japan

Life is Art – “The Foundation of our Faith.
Annually we hold a Peace Tower Ceremony The spirits of all those who lost their lives in wars, regardless of race, religion or nationality are memorialized at the alter of the Peace Tower.

This picture does not do this room justice, it is an awesome sight, and the feeling when one enters is unique and powerful. There are two arms (rooms) that branch out from this central alter. In the ceremony we console the spirits of the dead and pray for the everlasting peace of humankind.

On the first of every month – we celebrate Day of Peace. Through this ceremony we pray for World Peace and dedicate ourselves to live as peaceful human beings. Today being September 1. this is what we celebrated in church.

ALLO – Bonjour _ Hello – Hola – Konnichi wa Being at the church always is a feel good moment, today though, I have a whole lot of extra good vibes, oddles and oodles…in fact.. I’m going to share it all with you…

Before I leave you. remember that September 14, we are having a garage sale – lots and lots of “stuff” “vintage” “new” and surprises.. if you live in the area, don’t miss out!

Oh Yeah! – so what!

Busy busy busy– I am playing host today to a mind that is non stop busy. Doing what you say? Haven’t a clue.
What is a “roo” to do” I want to sew, go to the gym, work on my blog, finish cleaning the fridge, make a replacement mat for next to the burner, package some costume jewelry for the garage sale, prune back the vines that are going crazy in the backyard and you want me to what!!!! Bunnies and eggs month isn’t till next spring!
S T O P …head for a quiet space and sit down and do nothing. That’s right N O T H I N G. now that is better, time to reflect on just what I would like to do in 3 minutes. Not before. First I will do NOTHING.

Works for me, by the time my brain and body realize that I am sitting absolutely still not listening to the chatter, the quiet ,moment has begun. Something magical starts to happen. From the moment you decide “you are in control, and you are going to do get things done at your pace and your way….things begin to happen.
In PL we work at being “mindful” being “present”, when the brain starts to chatter in unproductive blah blah blah. We quietly make time to center ourselves and take back ownership of our day.

Ask yourself, what is needed now and what can wait?

Be True to Yourself

No matter how you try to make yourself appear differently, you can’t alter your self worth. Just be yourself. Freely express yourself without hesitation. (PL teaching) Be True to Yourself!
As one who has chosen to live a life of spiritual awareness, I am always learning, and always moving forward.
Things around me are constantly changing, thus allowing me greater choices for creative expression.
