we sometimes don’t realize just how “busy” we are… or how “noisy” our mind can be.

I awoke to the white sounds around me, gentle, steady, familiar, yet constant and comforting. Still, only in sleep do they disappear from my conscious awareness, to be replaced by the chatter of unknown voices, electronic media, and traffic during the day when I am away from home.

  1. I agree. Sometimes it isn’t until we see how hard it is to be quiet that we realize how busy we’ve been.
