I am getting better at just enjoying being there with them. I do try to whip out the camera and have it ready, it just never seems to “happen” .. I’ll get better =^_^=

The Nikon is bigger than my Canon, I’m still learning how to hold it, and work the “buttons” etc. It has a greater telescopic capacity than my Canon, & they handle very differently. My fingers get really cold, I’ll get better with time. Meanwhile, I am enjoying being out in the fresh air, and sharing time and space with the woodland community. They are each so different in how they “dine”… I’m surprised by the “calm” nature of the woodpecker… It seems that nothing ruffles his/her feathers.. its been very interesting, watching the dynamics that play out.

Wonderful and mutually beneficial. š Love the frog!
smiles, he is cute isn’t he!
Nicely done
Thank you Derrick, have a grand day!
The first one looks like a downy woodpecker, and I recognize the blue jay, as we have many of them visiting the feed doors in our yard. Great shots. Good luck figuring out the camera. For those cold fingers, you might want to look into bicycle gloves. I bought a pair that are warm enough, but think enough that I can handle most operations on my camera (but mine is a Cannon Point & Shoot).
good morning Dan, had not thought of bicycle gloves.. we are currently in a tight shut down mode. I just saw the team work on your Thursday Doors this morning! kudos!
Thanks – We aren’t shut down here, but travel restrictions are in place all around us. This is when being in the third smallest state causes issues.
LOL that dear friend, is why its so great that we are creative in our thinking, n’est pas? =^+^=
China, you’ve captured the essence of the season with these beautiful bird photos.
LOL, I wonder what they thought the first time the saw the frog. š Hugs on the wing!
lol. I’m learning that the birds know when there is food out.. the frog is holding a feeder with lots of delicious seeds.. Didn’t take them long to simply accept and ignore him.. however, I like the colourful way it shows up in the gray of an overcast winter day. Sends a happy wave across the miles to you..
Lovely! And that S-hook froggie is really cute! I love frogs! š
Hi there, hesitated at first at putting the frog out.. but it is useful to hang a feeder when I’m too short to get at a sturdy branch.. Now I like the bit of colour it adds =^_^+
