Thursday Doors

Happy Thursday everyone.. Bom dia.

Some doorways have a very open and spacious entrance. Others are more “this is what you get” and the tenants do their best to make it welcoming.

Then you leave the town and head out into the open country, the sights and sounds are very different. Yet always there are doors.

I got a tad turned around in my outing yesterday, found myself south when I should have been heading east. Ah who cared, I was out exploring and best of all, the sights of the fall colours was awesome. Meet my new friends…

He was a brilliant conversationalist, (both males) the blonde was less talkative. Sigh pleasures come from the most unexpected places. =^_^=

Remember, we are all responsible for the choices we make in life. Take time today to swing your happy into high gear. Happiness is a powerful positive energy.

21st Sunday Thanksgiving

Creativity is seeing things everyone else has seen, and thinking what no one else has ever thought

Original expression done shortly after my Mother passed away. Could I do it again, no. Once we express something to the world it is done, there is no going back. We move forward. In anger once I spoke angry words about someone. My Mother quickly and quietly told me that I should think before I spoke. Words spoken, actions of unkindness, are negative not only to the person you are directing your anger to, but to your self. If you have nothing kind to say, say nothing. Deal with the moment, you can do it.. tomorrow will be another day.

Cranberry delight

I felt like I was walking in my own wonderland. Given permission to wander and enjoy, I took full advantage and drove down towards the fields of now harvested cranberries.

The light drizzle and clouds over head, did nothing to dampen the thrill of the experience.

There was a calm, the ducks, and birds were nesting and peaceful, the waters drifted lazily along, enjoying the pull of the breezes.

I had wanted to visit the Cranberry fields for a very long time. The other day, I slowed down, and took the winding country lane down to the farm. Upper Canada Cranberries, Ottawa’s only cranberry grower. Greely, Ontario. 613-798-6232, or the other number shown, 613-720-6232.

It is of course off season, the harvesting had been down, workers were gone, it was just me and whatever wild life called the farm home.

I was happy, my spirits were soaring with the high of being alive and able to be there at that moment in time. For me, it was a blessings, pure intoxicating love for all that IS.

The owner was busy when I was driving out, I hope he knows how content I was. He lives and works in this environment all year. WOW… He has a small store front, for days he is open. You can get fresh cranberries, and pure cranberry juice, no sugar. That my dears is a find. If you are in the area, please look the place up.

This was a very special blessing, I followed through on my desire to visit the farm, there was no distraction. My reward was the intense feelings of being ONE with the environment I was in.

I wish this for each and every one of you. Have a joy filled day… now and always.

October 1st

pomegranate paint October has arrived… Outubro 1… Bom dia

Yesterday I went in search of a colour of paint that would mix well with what I had to enhance the suggestion of blood. Dried blood. Luckily where I shop there is always someone to help and with my cohort Little Piglet, we spent a happy hour browsing and shopping. I know it is not often someone comes in looking for blood, but Isabelle, at Scrap En Mass (Alfred, Ontario) was up to the task. When you shop with a goal in mind, you are more easily able to describe what you want.

The ambience of the place is also a factor, the display of merchandise, the overall sense of creativity and fun that is generated by other customers. The time spent searching out, then playing with the items later, is always an interlude, that passes quickly, it is refreshing.

sim entendo, yes I understand

Good morning, Bom dia dear friends. How often do we say these words, yet when we give it more thought, we realize that maybe we didn’t really “get it” or understand it, the way the person was explaining it to us. Because a lot of my creative expressions that are visual, are abstract, when I am done I have a feeling of satisfaction I can sit back and see all the many possibilities of what, if anything, had been going through my conscious mind, while I “played”

The other day, I had so much pent-up unproductive energy that I simply exploded, verbal garbage and anger past and present erupted. Such is life, when we least expect it, poof the angry dragon appears. Fortunately I am blessed with a happy dragon, and she is more powerful than her counterpart. She knows the angry dragon doesn’t have the staying power. WE, my dragons and I are happy munchkins.

In PL, we know that Each Moment is a Turning Point. PL Precept 18

Don’t let a negative moment in the day, ruin your day, accept it and move on.

Wednesday again

bom dia, este e um costume? no no, the dolls are coming home for the October festivities. Are they ready, they have been jabbering all night about their experiences and the stories they want to tell. The acts of kindness they have been able to participate in, now, with October just days away, they have made their way home to celebrate the month of the year, reserved for them.

They are aware that they are not like the rest, and stand out in a crowd. But each one is unique and has his/her own story … Here they are not judged by their “look” LOL or lack of, they simply can enjoy letting down their hair, not replacing an eye, wearing what they want, and and and, the list goes on. Who knows maybe one will have a story to tell that I can share with you. rubs hands with glee and gives a crackling chuckle.. “time will tell dearies”

Reasons

Bom dia..

Sim yes, my inspiration today is the bark of this tree. There is something about textures that appeals to me, I paint using textures, I create a lot of “art” dimensional, I have never analyzed why, I just like it. After a painting dries, I will close my eyes and gently run my fingers over the canvas to discover its hidden delights.

After years of trying to take in all of what I am seeing, I know that I can see a lot of things at one time, some details will stay with me, some won’t. So much like I did here, where I focused my lens on one area of the tree, I do that with life. I don’t ignore the rest of the picture, but when I see something that is of interest, then I delight in discovering what it is that is communicating with me.

If you are a photographer, you know we can walk by a landscape a zillion times, then one day, the lighting is just right, shades dance across our vista, and wow, we “see” an amazing sight. Just like walking out your back or front door, is different every time you walk into the “outside”. hmmm did she mean to say it that way.. yes I did =^_^=

Same day, same place, same time of day give or take, but a different tree. Each had its very own appeal to me. “that day” I suspect if I went back today, I couldn’t find them again. Thus the harping on… live each day to your fullest, today is today, and tomorrow will be a new beginning.

After going on about “observation” I will share with you an incident this morning. I washed my hair (I know exciting stuff) as I was towelling my hair I looked down and wondered what was sticking to my night “dress”. Hello I found the “bleeding” thing has a pocket. No, I didn’t know, and again no, it isn’t new. So you can see what I wear to sleep and around the house, does not get the attention I give to other areas in my life. Oh dear! I am human after all. sigh.

With that, I will wish you all good cheer, make the most of today, I am off to enjoy mine. Thanks for sharing this brief interlude with me.

Bom dia, Sabado…Saturday after a big storm. I woke to skies of blue, and clear as far as the eye can see. NO, not to Brazil, but wanted to share with you a birthday card I did for a friend. My interpretation of a birthday card, comes in many dimensions and depending on where it is headed, can be almost anything.

I learned at an early age, not to limit my imagination and creativity. Admittedly sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. I do my best. Key words, do my best. In all we do, it is important that we do our best. Be in the moment, as long as we do our best, we will have no regrets. It applies to all we do and say.

We all encounter storms during our stay in this world, some emotional, some physical, whatever happens, we live through it and move on. Sometimes it is easy and sometimes it is not. Whatever, and wherever you are today, you are here, you are living another day. Do it well.

Thursday Doors – 9.20

Charm of days gone by. There is so much to take in when you travel a back road. You have to know that you will not get anywhere fast, you simply accept the moments of discovery. This was the scene that beckoned loud enough for me to stop and actually get out. It is aged, tired and worn, but yet it is standing proud. Wind, snow, ice, rain, yes they have left their mark, but the place, for me , still had a quiet dignity. It stood, just off a paved road, but the surrounding land, was rich and bore the remnants of a bountiful crop.

I left today, open to the possibilities, and the Universe provided “seek and you shall find” PL Precept #1 Life is Art

The day was a happy one, and totally productive in a very creative way. I hope you enjoyed the same.
