Ottawa is in the throes of a super wacky heat wave, Environment Canada is sending out bulletins regularly on how to cope during this monster intense heat period. Seeing sunshine and shadows from another place and time, is refreshing… especially when we can be arm chair travelers.

Photographs of Japan as seen by a young man (Lucas) who is ticking off an item on his bucket list. He is touring Japan, and sending back pictures to his Mother who has with his consent sent them on to me, with permission to share them with you. When I opened up my e-mail and saw the pictures I was immediately taken back there, how I miss the tranquility and beauty I found there. I try not to remember the food, but it is hard to do, I ate so well when I was there.
Japan when you visit, is what you see in the pictures, There are pockets of serenity everywhere.
