It was a sugar coated world yesterday . Mild, very pleasant. There is a simple joy in standing quietly while the fluffy snow flakes dance merrily through the air. Of course if I stood too long, there were complaints from the peanut gallery that the morning breakfast was being delayed. Interestingly when they see the chair and I sit.. they stop chastising me and go about cleaning up their “plates”… they seem to know, when the human sits and closes her eyes, I’m having a ” time out”.

Enjoy the day everyone, don’t know about where you are, but here, the airwaves are full of the holiday cheer “songs” and “stuff”

Thursday door

It is important to say “Thank you” Everything that appears in front of you is all material for you to improve yourself whether it’s food, people or things. Learn to accept everything whether it is something you like or not.

Another day of sunshine, mild temperatures, and welcoming countryside. Savor each moment of the day. It is a gift. I searched the branches for birds, the ground for little paw prints. The day was still young. I stood and took it all in. How grateful I am that I am able to adventure the back roads and really see the beauty that can so easily go unnoticed.

I thank the UNIVERSE that I still have my sight and sense of smell. That I am strong and able to still explore the land as it is meant to be seen. I am grateful that I have a home, and a place to call my own. I will not forget to say thank you at the end of the day…. I pray for peace .. each and every day. Be kind to your fellow man… a smile goes a long way.

alexandria 8.4.e Travel down an old country road on a lazy afternoon just two old friends, out for a drive. A country lass and an urban miss. The old hydro lines are what caught my eye. We stopped so I could get a shot. We were not that far off the beaten track, yet, the fields of green, and the old lines, gave me a feeling of another time and place,.

Best of all I was with someone who had grown up in the country, and loved the fields of crops and the newly cut hay just as much as I did. We would sigh with contentment when we passed peaceful gathering of cows enjoying the shade of sprawling trees sheltered by outcrops of large boulders and rocks.

Too often I am traveling down a major highway or road to a destination, this was a just because drive. No deadline, no specific time frame, just a drive, with a stop for lunch at a marina along the way. talking was optional.

alexandrria 8,4,18 Be kind to yourself. Make time for you. Lazy summer days are few and far between when we live a busy lifestyle.

That day we had mostly sunshine, but the rain did fall, we got the black rolling clouds, and vivid display of lightning. Made our day complete. Have you ever smelled the lush green meadows after a rainfall? Experienced the return of the sun and clear blue skies after an explosive down pour. the change in temperatures during all this variety of weather. Mother Nature works her magic in very special ways.

Get out and enjoy the day, make today a special day.
