Buen dia, Happy Happy Wednesday!

A cheerful bouquet of flowers for you dear readers.

Different flowers usually have separate meanings – flower symbolism is broadly characterized by two essentially different considerations – essence and shape.. By its nature it speaks of transition – the process or period of changing from one state or condition to another. We anticipate their beauty, we appreciate their fragrance, marvel at their delicate petals and intricate throats, veins and petals. We even share the beauty and pleasure they give with those we love and use them to express our love and feelings. when as Nature does, they fade and pass on, we treasure the time spent, the memory of the moment, and we move on, happy with the shared moment tucked away in our hearts. Yellow in symbolism when it comes to flowers, usually represents the sun/sunshine – it is very yang. (I Ching) Egyptians would put flowers on a table as a reminder of the realities of death, and the joys and pleasures in life. The painter of this picture, used a blue that speaks to me of the heavens. Blue the colour of rarefied atmosphere, clear blue skies.. In symbolism, blue often represents “thinking’ (thoughts)………..

Today’s PL lesson is about becoming a better person. If we are content with the status quo, our progress will stop, we are encouraged to always look for ways to improve and become more in tune with the Universe. To continue our journey in life, moving forward. Praying every day that our journey will bring us closer to a Divine State of Being.… one step at a time, mindful of the present….. let love in…. let love motivate your actions, and your thoughts. Allow love to colour your world today. May the blessings from above rain down like a cleansing and refreshing spring shower to feed your soul….That the flower that is you, will be nourished and grow stronger this day……. so your beauty will shine for all the world to see. Goooood Morning everyone!!!

I have no idea why, but I woke up this morning and the found a song running through my head. “It’s Saturday night and I just got married la la la” I have no idea where that came from, why its there, I’m trying to recall if I had a vivid dream, or what I was thinking of last night, but it escapes me. I don’t even think I watched the telly last night… chuckles… oh well, at least its a peppy song, happily I don’t recall any of the words to the song except the first few lines.

It produces a wonderful, fresh and rather enticing picture for us to look at =^_^=. How was is your day so far? Are you enjoying it? The PL lesson for the day is about being proactive and flowing with the “joys” and never ending challenges of life. It is about being present, mindful, and honest with yourSELF in your reactions to what comes your way. Hmm doesn’t look like Mother Nature is going to give me outdoor sunshine today, BUT, my day starts with sunshine, because.. you ready for it. I’ve started my day with YOU.

Every bloom holds a hug and prayer, just for you. Happiness is sharing. Its LOVE pure and TRUE > Oyashikiri

The colours of spring

Today without the sun shining brightly through my office window, I went in search of a picture of flowers. When I chanced on this picture of the Keukenhof Gardens in the Netherlands, it was a BINGO the moment I saw it.( a WOW moment). The riot of colour is laid out in such a symmetrical pattern. The synergy holds one eye. The attention to detail, the planning that had to be executed to give these results, mind-blowing to someone like myself an abstract artist and a lover of the natural landscape. The picture held me in utter fascination. Art comes in many forms, this picture gave me an appreciation of the work /labour that had to take place for me to be able to behold and enjoy such man-made beauty, using nature’s provisions.

Today’s PL lesson is about how our smile/expression can make everyone around us happy. It makes sense, if we do everything with a smile, we feel good, but we also spread that happiness to those around us. I’m smiling now and I share it with all of you.. Be Happy! A smile is contagious! Oyashikiri

Hearts & Flowers

Pure vintage we would never see this today, cigarettes are no longer in vogue, but the artist put together a picture showing a couple showing their togetherness, his arm holding hers, their cigarette tips touching, note that the gesture forms a heart connecting them. OK OK, I’m allowed some poetic licence. LOL I thought it charming =^_^=

Hearts and Flowers day isn’t just for lovers, it is a day that celebrates caring and love. although over the years the marketing has been more and more about the gifts one gives, or tied to romantic stories, new engagements, marriages, and first dates etc. I see it more as a day of love,period. A good friend recently lost one of her parents, which is a time of loss, she and her family have chosen to celebrate their loss, by celebrating the parent’s life. How joyful, to honour the life and the positives this person gave to other during her lifetime. Love is a blessing in our lives. the word itself has been so used and misunderstood, but in reality, it is Lasting ONENESS (with God) and Vibration (energy) that is Endless. Oyashikiri

True love is everlasting -Love transcends mortal boundaries…

Which road to take. It is a brand new year, let’s set higher goals and work to improve ourselves. The Joy of Expression is in the Process. When each day is a new canvas, goals are much easier to attain.

October 13

I had such a happy excursion yesterday. My husband with the two dogs, did some touring around the countryside near home. It was a simply fantastic day! What can I say, not much, I’d rather some the pictures with you…

Even in the last days of its bloom, this flower is an expression of nature’s glory.

Nature’s colour palette is filled with the richness of the shades that so brilliantly say “autumn”

Old markers in a newly discovered (to me) historic cemetery beckoned to me from the road, I had to explore. The older the cemetery, the more serene. With the dazzling sunshine, and dappled shade this one was lovely.

A tribute of another time, still sits proudly on a marker, its beauty may be faded, but it still exudes pulchritude and charm

The riot of colour that filled my day had me exhilarated and filled with a joy that was near to bursting. I love Canada and the four season it offers.

God resides in a prayerful Mind….. Evidence of the “Master’s” creativity was on full display yesterday. From pictures I saw being posted yesterday on FB
(Facebook) we were not alone in our rediscovery of the knockout day available to us yesterday. Every day is filled with new discoveries.

TWAS THE NIGHT OF THANKSGIVING,
BUT I JUST COULDN’T SLEEP.
I TRIED COUNTING BACKWARDS,
I TRIED COUNTING SHEEP.

THE LEFTOVERS BECKONED –
THE DARK MEAT AND WHITE,
BUT I FOUGHT THE TEMPTATION
WITH ALL OF MY MIGHT.

TOSSING AND TURNING WITH ANTICIPATION,
THE THOUGHT OF A SNACK BECAME INFATUATION.
SO, I RACED TO THE KITCHEN, FLUNG OPEN THE DOOR,
AND GAZED AT THE FRIDGE, FULL OF GOODIES GALORE.
GOBBLED UP TURKEY AND BUTTERED POTATOES,
PICKLES AND CARROTS, BEANS AND TOMATOES.

I FELT MYSELF SWELLING SO PLUMP AND SO ROUND,
‘TIL ALL OF A SUDDEN, I ROSE OFF THE GROUND.
I CRASHED THROUGH THE CEILING, FLOATING INTO THE SKY,
WITH A MOUTHFUL OF PUDDING AND A HANDFUL OF PIE.
BUT, I MANAGED TO YELL AS I SOARED PAST THE TREES….
HAPPY EATING TO ALL – PASS THE CRANBERRIES, PLEASE.
MAY YOUR STUFFING BE TASTY,
MAY YOUR TURKEY BE PLUMP.
MAY YOUR POTATOES ‘N GRAVY HAVE NARY A LUMP.
MAY YOUR YAMS BE DELICIOUS.
MAY YOUR PIES TAKE THE PRIZE,
MAY YOUR THANKSGIVING DINNER STAY OFF OF YOUR THIGHS!!

Thursday! Yay! Remember dear readers that tomorrow I will be on my way to Japan. The time has finally arrived. I will miss you, know that I carry you all in my heart, you will be in my thoughts night and day. I will share news of Japan and my trip when I return.. A pilgrimage, a once in a lifetime journey for me. I’m very happy.

Things around us are constantly changing with the times. Take on the challenging and new experiences as materials for self expression. PL teaching.

It is Tuesday - Good Morning -Bom dia - Bonour

I’m a morning person, I love waking up to another day, I can accomplish so much in the morning. LOL I know that for others the mornings can be a little more elusive. Remember the expression,” the early bird gets the worm”? Is that still used today =^_^=
Today will be another day of very hot humid temperatures,I thought I’d show you a little hide-a-way that the birds and shade loving visitors like to find in our front garden. Our dogs will be walked before the heat builds up on the city pavements.

What are you doing today? Did you have a good night’s sleep? Sleep is so very important to our well being.

My morning prayer grounds me and gets me going.
My evening prayer wraps up my day and nudges me gently on my way. When for some reason I miss an evening prayer/meditation, sleep may come, but my nocturnal journeys are not the same.

In PL Oshieoya-sama teaches us that in order for us to express our true selves for happiness and the happiness of others, it is important that we live with true faith in God/Universe and pray to the Divine Mother in our daily lives (God/ Universe/Divine Mother, all ONE)
