207df0687ad2dc783be2eb1f0d2a476fGood morning everyone:

How is your day going so far?  I know that many of you are in completely different time zones.  For me it is the start of my day, albeit a late start.  Lately I have been enjoying long fitful sleeps  Yesterday I ran around like a woman on a mission, (that is because I was) I had things to do, people to see, and then a 7 pm Thanksgiving service at the church.

It never occurred to me that I wouldn’t get everything done, I just set out to do it and it all fell easily into place.  However, by end of day, I was ready for my trip into slumber land. I am working on my virtual blog which takes days and sometimes weeks to do because I have to coordinate with other artists.

One of the artists is an amazing  talent, she does shapes and skins for the virtual world as well as clothes and accessories. Even the virtual name she uses tells you she is going to be an interesting person to get to know. (Lush Meme)

For those of you who are unfamiliar with the virtual worlds, everyone entering into a virtual world has to create an avatar for themselves.  Obviously we are all different and our likes and wants are going to be different.

Some visitors to the virtual worlds, don’t really care about their appearance, they get an avatar on entering into the new world, and they keep it, maybe change their clothes to better reflect what they like to wear and personalize themselves. but aside from that they are content to be the avatar that they used to come inworld.  The virtual worlds are full of mentors, people with experience and years in the virtual environment and are willing to help out and put their experiences to use to help others wanting to grow within the community.  With some it is building, creating the architecture, homes, fantasy builds more to do with lifestyles of the inhabitants.

Others, like Lush provide the body of the person (shape, size of your shoulders, length of your arms, waist, hip etc. ) and the skin,(colour or tone of your skin, make ups etc)  The women more than the men tend to want to look a “certain” way, and they are apt to change their makeup, and hairstyles often.  Men do however, like to (most of them)  want to look presentable, once they find the shape, skin and hairstyle they like they are more likely to change outfits for different occasions, but their basic look stays the same.

It is always an interesting exercise when someone new to the world joins us and they being their transformation.  There are many artists in the virtual worlds and some are more creative than others.   You have to look around, you have to try the demos provided.  Otherwise you will look like the person beside you.  In the virtual world you get to build and create what you want to look like.

Now in the day-to-day world, it is not so easy, we are born with our bodies, skin tone and hair colour.  changing is a natural process, nature dictates pretty much our rate and speed of growth etc. And to many it is a life long battle to try to fit in to the “social/fashion norms” or  Photoshop pictures we have put in front of us on a daily basis.

I have to fast today for a hospital visit tomorrow.. That got me thinking of bodies/shapes, and our sometimes out of kilter food decision and choices…. what can I say I got carried away after looking in the mirror this morning.  Hope you survived the visit.  Love you all.

224c2f0f0f0ebf2be5c8d52959b8aba8Sincere apologies to those of you, who prefer my shorter blogs.. Thankfully I don’t have to fast often.  =^_^=  meanwhile blessings all, and where-ever you are, have a super grand day.  Be Happy.

cow by tessbwijk - flickr

Ever have a conversation with a cow.  If the cow is at all interested in what you have to say, it can be very rewarding, you get their full attention, and maybe just maybe they will nod or moo to acknowledge they’ve heard what you’ve had to say. Often they will simply flick their tail and walk away, never-the -less, it will be an honest reaction to you and or your words.  Nor will you give much thought to how much you said they understood, nor will you really care.  You met you exchanged a brief connection and you then both went on your way, having enjoyed that moment, but life moves on.  no more.. no less.

You love to fish, swim, isn’t this dock and the setting a beckoning sight.  I could place a deck chair right smack in the middle there and just sit and drink in the moment.  The photographer when they took this picture I’m sure heard crickets, frogs and skeeters.  Even the gentle plop of a fish breaking surface, see the small ripples.

Triumph, classic T20 Tiger cub by Gordon CalderMy biking friends will enjoy seeing this old classic by photographer Gordon Calder of a Triumph T20 Tiger Cub.  If you have ever ridden a motorbike through the back roads in the hills of Tennessee or the hills and valleys of the Gatineau Hills.  You will appreciate how valuable a well tuned engine is.  Gordon Calder has taken a series of pictures of motors, if you like this picture, you will enjoy his other beauties. Bob Marley

Most of us, know or remember the  Old MacDonald had a farm song.  For me it reminds me of a time of innocence and playtime.  No other association comes to mind.  But,  other songs, and music can elicit other emotions and feelings from me. Bob Marley said “one good thing about music, when it hits you, you feel no pain”…. in one sense. … music when you are tuned in, and it connects, it does so in a way that can be heart wrenching or joyful, and true we can drown in the moment and resurface without pain, but we do feel it.

Put into practice the PL “Way” – Devotion = Misasage  (literally means “to dedicate your self for the sake of others and society. The uniqueness of PL is to embody the teachings rather than to just understand them in your head.  Misasage is the essence of living a PL life.  Where ever you are, whatever you are doing, we are all striving for peace and harmony, share this moment with us.     Blessings be….   O Y A S H I K I R I

Mineral Flowers @ Danakii Desert in Ethiopia

mineral flowers, dalloi volcano by pascal baegli flickr

This is a picture of acid lakes in the Dallol volcano * beautiful sight isn’t it. Zillions of tiny mineral deposits come together to form magnificent little rosettes that in turn, weave and join together to form natural basins for the acid waters to form.  Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, how often have we heard that!

It is interesting how different cultures, we go about finding a mate, or partner.  In traveling to the East, I had occasion to speak with a number of different women who were in(what appeared)  very happy relationships, and who were all from arranged marriages.  I say arranged, not the way necessarily that the west has portrayed them but arranged never-the-less.  Having spent the majority of my working life working  as a Stress Management Specialist in Health Care, where over  65% of the issues I dealt with stemmed from unhappy relationships, and in many ways very unhealthy “coupling”.  I was impressed with the natural harmony I saw and felt when talking to these woman.  They found men with common interests and goals, learned what they could about whether or not their goals were similar and found out if their paths were on the same playing field. Then made a decision on whether or not to go forward in a relationship.   This also applied to the men, looking for a wife.   Two criteria, practical and long term.  I’ve simplified this of course , more at another time.

In the culture I’ve lived in here in North America, and the social interactions that I’ve even participated in, is very different.  We seem to be attracted first to the “looks”  (outer wrappings ) of the object  we “desire”.   We can date someone for months and yes even years, and know deep down they are not satisfying our inner needs, yet …we hold on….. why…. out of fear of being alone.  Not having someone to be part of a couple with, so when we go out with friends, or go places we are doing it with someone else.  EVEN WHEN, the activities we are attending or doing (and this applies to both men and women) are not what we really want to be doing.  Ah HAH!!!!  ring any bells.  If you are going to do something, do it because you want to, do it with sincerity in your heart.  If you choose to do something, then do it with joy and enthusiasm,  you are the only person who is in control of your choices.

I like to live quietly in harmony with Nature. To know what you find compatible with your way of life, you first have to know your SELF, and what you want!.  By doing this, you will find a greater sense of inner beauty and calm.     God/Nature/Universe is with us always!         Oyashikiri

zondag, good morning everyone!

57ed2a5249d2b0588d80a07a9249228bFeelings,  emotions, they are so much a part of our every day lives.  Is there really a moment in the day when we are not experiencing a feeling of some kind.  Is there a moment in your day when you are void of a feeling? I first saw this quote weeks ago.  Aside from thinking …wow.. Johnny Depp said this, and thinking, “did he really?  Not that I know Johnny personally, but when my mind captured the picture and the thought, it also automatically ran through the files in my memory banks to see if what I remembered of Johnny fit with the wisdom of the words…Funny how the mind processes information coming in.  When I think of Mr. Depp. I think of a visit to California and some pirate themed ride at a park I was at with my sister.  I smile because it brings back happy memories of being with her and our sudden desire to collect Disney pins.

The image of us wandering the grounds looking for pins to buy, our delight at each new find to add to our now growing collection.  LOL this was not all that long ago, we were grown women delighting in the activity of “search and find”  it was fun to look through the multitude of colourful pins and decide which characters appealed to us.  What we wanted to collect, and share with friends and family.  We had fun.  We immersed ourselves in the activity and today, I’m not even sure I know where the pins our, but that memory brings back feelings that are happy and joyful.

“You can’t close your heart to things you don’t want to feel” is what the saying above says.  PL Precept #12  Everything has a way according to its name.  We have choices in life, we can try to live void of emotion, feelings & LOVE…. but that is near impossible.  We are blessed with the gift of  LIFE, life is living and living is about being alive,  When an opportunity cones along with the potential of bringing you happy moments and new and positive experiences that delight and thrill your senses. you have a choice, you can say, no, I want to stay the way I am. OR…. you can embrace the new adventure and be rewarded by new and wonderful experiences that bring a heightened sense of personal awareness to your life.  When you embrace your decisions and life with enthusiasm and makoto (sincerity) there is that word again……..  there should be no lasting let down when that moment passes.  there can be sadness … perhaps the moment was fleeting… but the reality is.. you lived an incredible “moment in time” and now have this extraordinary memory that has added new beauty to your life.

]flower, anemone by Keartona on FlickrWe accept the temporary beauty and wonder of a flower.  We don’t look at the flower and say you are going to die, I’ll mourn you forever.  NO, we don’t do that, we accept and appreciate the beauty offered, capture the moment if we can, like this artist did, and move on.  Nothing in life is forever, only change is constant. TAO.

Have a good day everyone, be joyful, enjoy what the world has designed for you today.  May the love of God surround and keep you safe.       Oyashikiri

Buen dia, Happy Happy Wednesday!

tulips, parrot papintingA cheerful bouquet of  flowers for you dear readers.

Different flowers usually have separate meanings – flower symbolism is broadly characterized by two essentially different considerations – essence and shape..  By its nature it speaks of transition – the process or period of changing from one state or condition to another. We anticipate their beauty, we appreciate their fragrance, marvel at their delicate petals and intricate throats, veins and petals.  We even share the beauty and pleasure they give with those we love and use them to express our love and feelings.  when as Nature does, they fade and pass on, we treasure the time spent, the memory of the moment, and we move on, happy with the shared moment tucked away in our hearts.  Yellow in symbolism when it comes to flowers, usually represents the sun/sunshine – it is very yang. (I Ching)  Egyptians would put  flowers on a table as a reminder of the realities of death, and the joys and pleasures in life.  The painter of this picture, used a blue that speaks to me of the heavens.  Blue the colour of rarefied atmosphere, clear blue skies..   In symbolism, blue often represents “thinking’  (thoughts)………..

Today’s PL lesson is about becoming a better person.  If we are content with the status quo, our progress will stop, we are encouraged to always look for ways to improve and become more in tune with the Universe.  To continue our journey in life, moving forward.  Praying every day that our journey will bring us closer to a Divine State of Being.… one step at a time, mindful of the present….. let love in…. let love motivate your actions, and your thoughts.  Allow love to colour your world today.    May the blessings from above  rain down like a cleansing and refreshing spring shower to feed your soul….That the flower that is you, will be nourished and grow stronger this day……. so your beauty will shine for all the world to see.  Love is to be shared, not squandered ………S M I L E …… Oyashikiri
