PL Teaching for Day 22 >The Flash of Inspiration Is a Gift From God < When something suddenly clicks or when a great idea suddenly pops into your head, it is actually not something you have control over. Understand that this is wisdom given to you by God. The Flash of Inspiration is a Gift From God.

As an artist/writer, I can’t tell you how often I have wanted to paint, sculpt or write something, get myself all set up and then “puff” like a cloud of smoke what I thought I was going to do evaporates. If I try to make it work, the results are simply not to my liking, yes I may have an end product, but it does not “speak” to me. My first thought it that it should go into the waste bin. For sure I am not prepared to show it around, or do a drum roll. So I put it down and it disappears from my immediate thoughts. If I’m in a persistent mood, I may start over, something inside of me wants to be expressed. The desire is strong, and I feel the frustration well up inside me, I know I have something to “say”…. but every time I try something I am dissatisfied with the results. Sound familiar?

When I “Let go and Let God” allow myself to take a step back, and just allow my hands to work the clay, or if painting the colors and forms to take shape, an inner peace begins to happen, and I find myself humming, carried away by the moment. I’m focused, I’m in a happy place. I’ve learned to listen to the little voice inside of me that says, “OK, that’s enough” I stop.. step back and with eyes of wonder I discover an “expression” Sometimes I simply have no idea how I got the results that I did. Ask me to do another one, I couldn’t. My “expressions” became a form of meditation for me. It didn’t matter to me what anyone else thought about the results, I was happy! INSPIRATION IS A GIFT I really and truly believe that God is within and part of who we are. God is the tie that binds us all together. We are ONE.

Discover the Many Things for Which to Be Thankful

PL teaching for day 21 > Look at the people around you, the things provided to you by Mother Nature, and all of the little things that bring you joy. If you search carefully for them, you will find how much you have to be thankful for. > Discover the Many Things for Which to be Thankful <

Count your blessings. Oh what a joy felt thought. I close my eyes and think of so many things that have touched me over the years, and all the friends who have at one time or another touched my “heart”. My heart is a treasure chest of good memories. Yes for sure I have known sadness, tears and heartbreak. BUT the LOVE, happiness and highs that gave me immense and intense pleasures outshine the sadness.

To know the shattering of heart, the loss of love, one must first let go and allow love and joy in. The only constant in life is CHANGE, and with change comes new life, new adventures, new tomorrows. Always live in the moment, enjoy today, now is what counts.

Our blessings are memories of yesterday, the wonders of today, =^_^=, tomorrow will be another today =^_^=

I’m going to try a share a memory with you now. A rediscovery of a singer who touched my world at one time.. He will be coming to the Jazz Festival this month, it was such a WOW moment to hear this song again. Blessings all – Have super happy positive day where ever you are!

Let’s Be in Tune With the Times

PL teaching day 16 Let’s Be in Tune With the Times > We live in a world that is rapidly changing with the times. Let’s continue to keep up with the evolving trends of society and strive to broaden our horizons. <

My husband and I drove to the other end of the city today to a huge parking lot, to check out the different kinds of recreational vehicles that were on display. (Motor Homes, trailers,tents and the like) we were told there were over 600 parked in the numbered lots. Golf carts drove visitors around, and carried refreshments from one end of the event to the other. At one time, not all that long ago, the whole area was farm land, woodlands & country fields. We drove out there using the “super highway”, gone were the cows grazing contentedly in the pastures, sheep nibbling their way along a stream, a farmer tending to his crop. Now littered basically every couple of miles is a big super center for shopping. with all the big box stores making their presence known.

This is a popular venue, it is a yearly event. There were many couples there, all with an eye on what type of caravan would help chase a dream. A pop up that can be set up near some babbling brook, or along a sandy beach. A motor home that can be driven to a destination that will provide a sun filled winter without snow. So many possibilities. While we explored and enjoyed the day, in the end, we came home to our little “nest” in the heart of the city and tucked the information away for another time. Today is today, enjoy NOW.

Happiness & contentment is a treasured pearl within our own “Selves” How we tend and cultivate this pearl, is how well we will deal with the changes in the world around us. Saying “Thank You” Creates a Heart to Heart Connection. If you don’t put your thoughts into words and actions, you will not be able to express how you truly feel. By expressing your gratitude in words, you can get your feelings across fully.

Sometimes being comfortable with a friend, relative, partner in life, we can forget to say “thank you” after a time, assuming that they know we appreciate them, and what they do for us. That is taking them for granted. I love my husband very much, it is impossible to say thank you for all the small things he does for me/us on a daily basis, but I try as often as I can to let him know just how special he is. I’ve discovered, that not only does it bring a smile to his face, it pleases me no end, that we’ve shared a heart to heart moment. Father’s Day is coming soon, it is good that we have put aside one day to celebrate the special man/men in our lives. However I personally feel that every day should be a day of gratitude and saying ” Thank You” to the special people who touch our hearts.

Letting Go of Your Ego Will Make you a Stronger Person

“If you are always caught up with power,status or appearances, you will have a hard time accomplishing anything of worth. Let go and express yourself fully”

How easy it is to fall into the “ego trap”. We are busy living our lives, tripping through life, when suddenly we are pulled up short by the boot straps, “how on earth did this happen” you’ve walked into a wall, or fallen into a pothole. That is because somewhere along the way, we began to believe in or fall into one of the “roles” we seem to be delegated to in life. Not all the roles we find ourselves in are delegated, some are of our own making. An ego can be like our very own personal nemesis. In the church teachings, we learn to “see” and receive help to “let go”

Always Live with “World Peace” In Your Heart

June already, today is the start of another month, May seems to have gone by so quickly. The PL teaching for June 1 is ” Always Live With “World Peace” In Your Heart. If each one of us sincerely prays for peace on earth, our combined efforts can change the world” During a service, when we read this teaching. the official that is leading us, reads the part that is in bold, and we repeat it. Then the rest is read for us to think and meditate on. Then we all repeat together the main sentence,” Always Live With “World Peace” In Your Heart” . The teachings come in the form of a Perfect Liberty calendar. This calendar consists of 31 pages. We use this calendar all year. A new one comes out at the start of each new year. They are available in English, Japanese, Portuguese and Spanish

The teachings of PL focus on everyday daily living to help people be all they can be in this life. I am very fortunate in that I live in a city where there is an actual physical Perfect Liberty Church. That said, you have access to the church, the ministers via the internet (see web site ) http://www.perfectliberty.ca If you live close to any of the churches ( PL is International) you are always welcome to drop in, and/or contact the ministers in person. It is so positive and exhilarating to have such open and effective communications with the ministers.

In June, the heat and humidity can soar in these parts,tempers can flare up, often there is a yearning to get away, to experience a change from the usual day to day. Already at the gym that I attend, I see the decline in members hitting the machines in the early day. It is vacation time, schools will be out soon, and the highways and roads into cottage country are getting busier. Yet home is where I find my greatest sense of “well being” . In following PL teachings on a regular basis, I am finding that often the inner contentment has me smiling what I call a Buddha smile.. From ear to ear, head to toe and through and through. =^_^= Always live with “world Peace” in your Heart.
