Let’s sit by the fire where it is cosy and warm. We can listen to the crackling and popping as we watch the flames dance merrily in joyful harmony along the burning logs. Everyone is so busy, running here and there, getting ready for one last fling in 2024. In contrast I want to mellow out and ease gracefully towards the new adventures that await me. 2024 has been a wonderful year, I am blessed with love and friendships that grow richer with each passing moment … It is with heartfelt gratitude that I wish you all the very best in the coming days, months.. Thank you for your participation in this “community” I enjoy your input, your blogs, photos, music, life is good when we can share it’s bounty with friends.
The world will change when you look at things in a positive light
Everything we encounter is an opportunity for us to express ourselves. What we choose to make of the situation is entirely up to you/us. We cannot always avoid “situations” but we have control on how we react to them, or let them impact on us ….

Feliz Ano Novo! Bonne Annee! Happy New Year! Akemashite omedetou!
(あけましておめでとう)
I didn’t see her at first… she stood so still…
Once I caught the glimpse of her waiting patiently, I couldn’t “not” see her
My first intention was to just grab a picture … then I thought I’d clean it up, take away the tree she stood behind. In the spring when the tree begins to leaf out, she will be hidden from view again. I might still do that, meanwhile, I wanted to share her… She obviously has been there for some time. I wonder at the stories she could tell.
Awww … someday… I’ll stop and …. Another mystery to unravel when time and inclination strike again…
Today Monday the 30th. there is one day left in the year 2024. Are you ready for a new year, another 365 days of adventures, new opportunities, new friends…
Use your results to make the next time even better
Whether “things” turn out perfectly or not, the important thing is to take what you’ve learned and apply it the next time.

The art of sleeping. Something so basic… yet… often so difficult to achieve.
My furry companions were very good at encouraging, and showing me how…. Letting go… and simply …chilling… would be beneficial to my well being.
ie. not making the bed as soon as I get up… would not ruin my day, or spoil my relationship with the world.
and… Quincy has shown me that at anytime, one can close one’s eyes and just “turn off”
“You have your own way of doing things, and others have their way of doing things. Don’t worry about what other people will say.” Simply… allow life to guide you. when we are open to new ways of doing something, we expand our personal horizons.

The key to solving problems is within you
The problems that appear before you can surely be solved. Give it your best effort, and the answers will come to you as long as you remain strong in your conviction that all will turn out well.
It is important to be assertive, but maintaining harmony is just as important.
Say what is on your mind clearly, but don’t be overly attached to your views. Respect the points of view of others and always seek to find a happy medium.

Always be cheerful, happy and good humored.
When you make an effort to be cheerful and happy you will naturally begin to feel that way.
The gateway to happiness lies within your reach. It is always open to you, you simply have to know that happiness begins within, Always be yourself, don’t try to be someone you aren’t.
Have you used a stapler lately, mine ran out out of staples, and for a few minutes.. I actually wondered what was wrong with it.. then I had to scramble to remember where the replacements were.!!! finally found, I had a bit of a chuckle as I looked at the stapler to determine how to put the replacements in. Like duh, this was such an easy fix … thankfully I have a “junk” drawer in my office for items seldom used, BUT could be useful one day… Have you used a stapler lately?
