A cul du sac, all on its own could be seen from the highway, had to go back. I felt such a strong draw … such a sense of abandonment from a place that had once had such a wonderful exciting and vibrant life. The architecture of the houses with the faux fronts.. loved them.

Situated at the foot of the Sredna Gora Mountain, this property has a good disposition being 30 km away from Stara Zagora – the sixth largest town in Bulgaria. The property is located at the center of a nice and peaceful village, where you can face the beautiful nature and go fishing in the river nearby. One of the most famous winter ski resorts – Pamporovo is disposed 168 km away from the village.
The house consists of two stories, with living area of 90 sq. m., a garage for one car, an outbuilding and a garden vast 504 sq. m.
Ground floor: Here you can find an entrance, two rooms and a bathroom/WC. The house was built from sun-dried bricks and stones, the flooring here is wooden, and the frames of the windows are wooden, too.
First floor: An external staircase leads to it. There is a corridor, two bedrooms and a closet here. The flooring in the corridor and one of the bedrooms is cement, and the other premises have wooden flooring. The walls are made of sun-dried bricks, and the frames of the windows are wooden.

The village itself offers shops, a café, a school, a church, a police station, a health service, a post office, a community center, a library, a kindergarten and regular bus transport to the towns and the villages in the vicinity. I don’t know if you can access the website, I hope so … for years now I have been receiving the listings from this company, I saw a documentary one day on some travel station, and fell in love with the rural area of Bulgaria. The above is so totally foreign to my current lifestyle and how I go about my life, BUT it appeals to something inside of me.
When I read about places to visit and explore, seldom do I see anything about Bulgaria. In the documentary I saw, men still rode their carts pulled by donkeys through the village, everything seemed so peaceful.

Within a short distance from the property there is a bus stop. In the neighborhood you can find a church and a town hall. Additionally, the area provides the following amenities for a pleasant and comfortable living and entertainment: a cafe, a mineral springs, a near architectural reserve, a near cave, a near monastery/monasteries, a near nature reserve, a reservoir/lake and a river. It is also worth-mentioning that there is no heavy industry in a close proximity.
When we live a life of “art” it does not only encompass you, but it affects the multitude of people around you. When we express our artistic ideas, and put them into action, if it pleases others, as well as ourselves, we are on the road towards a more peaceful existence.
By now you know that I love to sometimes just drive, and let the road take me to wherever it leads. I don’t mind taking a turn I’ve never taken before, or even stop on a side street, just to feel that ambiance of the area I am in, It is interesting that when out, I can chit-chat and happily chatter away with total strangers. yet when I come home, shut the door to the outside, I can do a total 360 degrees. Turn off the phones, and just bury myself in the quiet of the creative happenings in my studio/office.

It was a heavenly day, sunny, bright, the promise of a lazy summer in the air. We had stopped to explore a property with a for sale sign. The view was magnificent. In the summer when the woodlands were dense with foliage, the view would be entirely different.
The odd car went by on the old highway, but that aside, the little woodland was quiet. There were signs that at one time, someone had built, there was firewood neatly stacked waiting to be needed. The building though was long gone. All that was left was the remanet of a concrete step.
As we stood in silence taking in the fresh air and the ambiance of the day, we were each in our own thoughts. To Rev. Eisuke, who was born and raised in Japan, then spent the last 6 years assigned to Argentina… I could only imagine what his thought were. Mine was on the many times I’d driven by, and never seen this slice of heaven It was a perfect moment. Everything just felt so right. Nature’s embrace does that. We both marvelled at the blessings of living with God brings. PL Precept #11 Always be with God.
Coming back we took the super-duper new highway that cut through the rugged hillside. Speeding us back to civilization. Sigh. That is just what life is about.When the moment happens. seize it. Blessings come in many guises.

Good morning everyone!!!! I love it here…. I love Canada and the four seasons, it is a photographer/writer’s dream. Something new everyday, today the buds are breaking through the bark, little heads are peaking through. Excitement is in the air.
I don’t think there would have been room for a go-cart in the parking lot at the golf course I passed yesterday. The driving range was the same. Of course, now is also the time that everyone wants to throw open the doors, and get at the spring cleaning,
The enthusiasm is there, maybe not the same glee, but the passion and desire to get at it, and have it done is there. This desire to be out in the sunshine and spring showers seems to be everywhere,
There is no great mystery about life, it simply is an every changing world, that like the nature that we are part of, we all have seasons of our own. Learning to embrace change and to allow our creativity to flow (adapting to changes and challenges), is one of the best skills we can have and hone.
Say YES today, be happy whatever you set your mind to doing. No matter the weather, it doesnt’ matter if it rains or shines, whether you are happy or not … is determined by YOUR state of mind.

Good afternoon everyone. I had a wonderful time this past Sunday exploring the back roads from the city towards Sharbot Lake, it was a bright day, a bit of a chill in the air, but otherwise great. Too soon after a cold snowy spell, for there to be a lot of day trippers out. One of my finds, was this tree stump…. the colours, the recent cuts l seemed to dazzle with the afternoon sun.
These delights were found on a vacant lot of a house that is up for sale. 100 acres on a quiet country road (at an intersection) The house had seen much better days, nothing of interest to me, it was the location.. What was sad to see was that the yard around the house was a catch-all for debris and clutter. I had been drawn to the stumps because of the rich tones of the inner core. What ever happened to their tops, was not evident. So I assume, that the rest of the tree will serve a good purpose.
My husband was drawn to the old television satellite dishes. Some places tease me, and I want to hear their story. Others, well, they just don’t hold my attention. On this property it was the tree stumps.. they were my gemstones amongst the rubble. AND the QUIET. Further down the road ( a paved road, however it was well posted, that it was not a road that was maintained year round) we found this spot..
You likely had to have been there .. it was such a peaceful site. What we found was what was left of a building, that must have been part of the church that had been in this location. The lumber I didn’t think dated back to the 40’s but perhaps a makeshift building of sorts had been there and when that went, the community got together and put up the piece you see below. (1987)
How different life must have been life back when the church as in full attendance. 1893… the land in the surrounding areas you can tell had once been farmed. The further we drove down this road, with the quiet around us, and the beckoning open fields, the more the happy glow of discovery surrounded me.
Life is ever-changing, what remains a constant in life is the natural world we live in. It grows, flourishes, dies, and is reborn. The landscapes change, but the wonder of it all remains. GOD is living, GOD is life, GOD is Everything. and YES, GOD is LOVE
