Welcome another day!

Yesterday I found myself at the bottom of the steps in a beautiful environment, in reflecting on my post, I realized that not all steps are a welcome sight. That there are days when our thoughts and emotions are in a different place. Or should I say, in wandering through the hallways of the brain, we come across a scene perhaps like this one.

Pause for a moment. Look at the picture that the photographer of this shot captured. I’m not sure I know his/her intent, but to me it speaks volumes. Much like this one does. Again it was a toss up on which picture I would use today. Both spoke volumes to me and had me meditating on my thoughts for some time before I took to the keyboard.

Both of these pictures (for me) capture the essence of life at given moments during certain cycles we live through. When all around seems dreary,painful,lost, when our hearts are heavy, and our laughter barely a whisper, it is in such times that we have to call on our faith, know that the beauty is still there, that the sunshine is merely behind a cloud. The moment will pass, and the light of love and happiness with shine through once more. To love, to care is to allow yourself to feel vulnerable. Mother Nature is ALWAYS present. WE cannot know happiness without sadness, they go hand in hand, when you hold out your hand, you only see one side until you turn your hand over to see the palm. They are ONE.

Hearts & Flowers

Pure vintage we would never see this today, cigarettes are no longer in vogue, but the artist put together a picture showing a couple showing their togetherness, his arm holding hers, their cigarette tips touching, note that the gesture forms a heart connecting them. OK OK, I’m allowed some poetic licence. LOL I thought it charming =^_^=

Hearts and Flowers day isn’t just for lovers, it is a day that celebrates caring and love. although over the years the marketing has been more and more about the gifts one gives, or tied to romantic stories, new engagements, marriages, and first dates etc. I see it more as a day of love,period. A good friend recently lost one of her parents, which is a time of loss, she and her family have chosen to celebrate their loss, by celebrating the parent’s life. How joyful, to honour the life and the positives this person gave to other during her lifetime. Love is a blessing in our lives. the word itself has been so used and misunderstood, but in reality, it is Lasting ONENESS (with God) and Vibration (energy) that is Endless. Oyashikiri

11th of the month, Ancestor Day

We are who we are. No amount of cosmetic surgery, make up or fashion styles we make will change who we are, or where we came from. What does change is the way we use the skills and God given talents we have (understanding of life). This is an old Japanese print that I found, and thought it was a very appropriate visual for today’s greeting.

The clever and subtle messages of the artist are wonderful. I see so many possibilities of interpretation. He/she has captured the happiness of the cat being worked on, the little claws are out as it kneads its contentment into the carpet. How one feels when enjoying a wonderful relaxing massage. =^_^= the look of face on the “giver” is focused and mindful of what it is doing. The signer stamp of the artist is an artistic sign of the TAO.. Yin/Yang. Male/Female, Active/Passive and this is what the picture is a balance . Harmony of two energies. TAO – complete ONEness in the moment.

You are here today, thanks to your ancestors. Their actions, lives were instrumental in your being here at this very moment. On the 11th of every month, through ceremony, we express our gratitude for the love and virtues of our ancestors and ask for their protection and guidance so we can continue to live the PL WAY. Happy Monday everyone!

Living in the moment, being mindful means that you are living each moment with awareness, being present, addressing the moment with a clear state of mind. In “biblical” times it is told that Jesus walked on water and that in/with faith, so could his followers. The moment they let fear/doubt take over, they sank. It is not easy to always be clear of negative feelings, but we can learn, we can practice the ART of trusting and truly believing that the “Universe” no matter what the challenge, has a reason for where you are and what you are living at any given time.

Begin by starting your day with a positive attitude. PL Principle # 2 I will not have complaints about others, matters, nor the weather. Rather I will always be creative and will for shortcomings in my own thinking and actions.

Choices

Good Morning everyone, its Sunday, YAY!!! Another week begins. I began my day by wrestling on what picture to share with you today, then decided that I would share both. Why not, these are both wonderful, photographs that show true artistry with a camera and presentation. Both pieces of “art” were taken in the Nederlands.

I personally fell in love with this photo because of the atmosphere and mood that the photographer created, the life he/she gave it. Photography is an “art” that gives the viewer not only a look at what possibly the artist was seeing, but it talks to the viewer and allows us to see that moment captured in time, and reflect on the moment in a place and time that otherwise we would have missed.

This is the second offering of the day, it took my breath away, talk about being at the right place at the right time, and having the skill and perception to capture the moment so that it could be shared. Misty Posbank-National Park Velluwezoom, Rheden, Netherlands was taken by Patrick Strik

Begin each day with a renewed sense of appreciation

After watching the news last night and seeing the snow storms that hit parts of the States and Canada leaving behind a mess to be cleaned up and dealt with for days to come, went searching for a picture that showed green vegetation and new growth. Wow my prayers and positive energy is being sent out to all of you who need that extra boost.

The PL lesson for today was > Begin each Day with a Renewed Sense of Appreciation < Are you living each day and getting into a rut? By making small changes in the things you do, your day to day life can become fresh and exciting. We are here today , by the grace of God. Let’s make each day meaningful, by starting out with a feeling of gratitude for a brand new day. In being genuinely happy about life, we will be blessed with a deeper sense of happiness.

Smile, you are loved each and every day, sometimes we may not feel very loved, but you are. Know and believe, you are loved.

Has the ship sailed

Are there moments when you feel the ship has sailed and you are not on it. …. Do you feel you are standing on the dock watching it sail away thinking you should have gotten there sooner ….. If you are on the dock, it is because that is where you were meant to be …… That ship wasn’t the one that had a berth on it for you. At the time, you might not realize that, but Believe …. because if and when the time is right for you to be on the boat, you will be.

There is no denying that life can be a struggle. Often we can feel pulled in far too many directions. World news is negative and television and movies can be so violent. How do we stay tuned to the “word of ‘God/TaoUniverse”, we Trust in our divine connection with the Higher Power. we Believe with all our hearts that our prayers are heard, and Know that we are blessed. Whatever we are living it is because we are in a learning curve, give thanks that you are alive, the moment will pass, and life will move on.

Say good riddance to the past and move on. Today is a brand new day. My prayers are with you today, and always. Blessings, Oyashikiri…

World Peace

World peace starts with peace at home… Our world is overflowing with problems. When we pray, let’s pray for not only family and friends, but for the happiness and peace of the entire world. the joy of expressing kindness to others is much greater than when someone does something kind for you. When we can be genuinely happy for someone else, our lives will be blessed and we will experience a deeper sense of happiness. Love is beautiful, it is pure, and when we share our love beyond our own borders, it flows out to the entire world. Amen! Oyashikiri

Surrender opens doors

Part of healing is being vulnerable. It is through life’s lessons that we learn, our imperfections are exposed. In sharing it is not so other’s can fix us or rescue us, but so we can love and accept ourselves. Sharing is a catalyst in healing and change. Our value and worth is not determined by how hard we struggle. Learn to let things happen easily and naturally. Allow the “Universe” to ease us into where we need to be. Be open to the circumstances in your life. The love and light of God/Tao surrounds us.

Put sincerity into everything you do.
