LIFE IS ART
PL Precept #1
PL Precept #21 World Peace is Everything
Oyashikiri
Although I would like to say that life is rolling along, at its usual pace, it hasn’t. Since my decision to follow through and go to Japan for Kyososai * it has been a merry ride of excitement and new discoveries. Who knew, that one seemingly every day decision to return to Japan, could spur such initiative, and possibilities! Not I. But in PL, it isn’t unusual, and I should be used to it by now, but, I’m not, I ever cease to be amazed at how far-reaching goodwill, friendships, and kindness can reach. What is coming home to me is that miles do not separate kindred spirits, true connections are universal and heartfelt.
PL Precepts # 11 Always be with God
The teachings of Perfect Liberty unite us where-ever we are.
PL Precept # 10 Love yourself and Others
In PL, we learn to appreciate and be thankful for all that happens in our lives. There are no failures, there are opportunities to grow and learn. If one path is not open to us, it is because, we have to redirect our energy and find another way to reach our objective. In TAO, we say, …… the only constant in life is change …….
When a company, church, group or individual, refuses to look at and accept that changes are sometimes necessary to progress and unite, there is disharmony, Life can become stagnant. When we open our hearts and embrace and appreciate the world arround us, we recognize that the unique differences or really sometimes our own perceptions.
PL Principle # 3 I will live with a mind of appreciation towards others and things.
the funny was sent to me by a friend, I found the picture adorable, and my oddball sense of humour, laughed at the caption. =^_^=
PASS IT ON
Good Morning, konnichiwa, this is not one of my photos, it is one from Pinterest that I used many years ago in one of my blogs. I dug it out to use again, because I want to relate a thought to you, it is one that I have been “munching” on since a visit with an acquaintance the other day. I found myself in her company for several hours and where usually it is a pleasant enough interlude, yesterday she was in a particularly “negative” place. It was one complaint after another. To her it is not complaining, she is simply voicing her discontent with the world around her. As I listened to her, there was seldom a space for me to interact, I wondered how such obvious negativity could be affecting her life.
In the media and the “news flashes” that pop up in our social media reading, I read or should I say, I see, headlines, that I now just delete. I don’t always watch the news because it is so repetitive. What I do, DO, is I interact with a lot of people. I would like to say that my interlude yesterday was something that I don’t encounter often, however, that would be an untruth. I heard myself interject at one point, and say ” X, unless you are perfect, you should not be judging and criticizing others” “There is no way you can know that person’s circumstances, nor what really happened, unless you were there, participating , etc.”
OMG so unprofessional, it just came out, my inner self slapped her forehead. My reality is that I see life as the beautiful view outside that window. Yes I see the cracked window and the dirty sink, I also see that whoever took that picture, put a lovely flower at the corner of the sink. I appreciate that life, the world is made up of a number of factors, The picture might not have been so interesting had it been a rainy cloudy blustering day.
If all we see is the negativity in the world, then that will be our world. Happiness is a state of mind that begins from within.
PL Principle # 6. I will not be stubborn, being captured by my own thoughts.
PL Principle # 5 I will not get angry at anyone or anything.
PL Principle # 4 I will live with the spirit of “misasage” (devotion) working for the happiness of others.
In PL, we do our best to live these Principles on a daily basis. It is our choice, we have chosen this way of life. We share our world, but we do not insist that others see the world our way. Our goal is World Peace, something that can be achieved, when we learn to listen to one another, and to appreciate that someone else’s reality is not our own.
I reacted yesterday, and will today do my best to ensure that she is having a good day, and remembers the good moments in our visit yesterday. We did have a good time. It was MY reaction, and I will address why I reacted during my quiet times ….. then I’ll move on.

that picture is a work of art, did you look closely at it, did you see the face the artist put in
I would love to know who did this picture, who pulled it together, if someone knows, please….
let me know..
Sometimes we want to rest
we do our best to make the time
only you find yourself
being watched with expectation
just to make sure you understand
that your taking a break, is NOT
what you should be doing
I did my best to ignore the pair
however their persistence
was not to be ignored
dog noses are very cold
being stared at is not really
a soothing lullaby
all is not lost
I did find two cars for my
“play car” collection =^_^=
I started a card
the beaver has a chewed ear,
I did find two maple leaves
then suffered a kind of writer’s block
so except for hello
that’s it for the day
my Mother is 95, legally blind and hard of hearing
yet here she is doing what she does best,
living each day, getting the best out of whatever opportunity
comes her way
In this case she is looking at a smart phone to catch up
on recent pictures.
my sister who is trying to catch a glimpse is now in Iceland
where she will be surrounded by
happy people, celebrating the win today against England (soccer)
here .. my addiction…
cold, very cold, ice coffee with a side glass
of ice water..
the perfect mix.
all this to say
life is good everyday
someone sent me a smile today
let me share it with you
the caption on this one was… take your pick…
=^_^=

Pl Principle # 12 I will get up pleasantly in the morning
PL Principle # 17 I will not say nor do things that hurt others
Chop Suey = this and that
pictures are candid
This is a sign post on the campus grounds of the PL headquarters community near Osaka. I remember when I saw it, wondering if the construction happening off to the left, was something that would be finished that year, that was 2013. Japan has been very “present” for the last several days in one way or another. In particular these everyday signs/objects
Do I know why, no I don’t. It is as if something is trying to speak to me, so I’ve been searching through pictures and casting out greetings/messages to see if anything “pops” up that says, “hey look here” So far nothing, just this strong urge /desire to be in Japan.
A visit now, will mean that I will be the only member from Canada going, there will be a few members from the States I’m told, in a gathering of many, we may or may not connect. I am surprised that I am wanting to go without the “security” of other church members being with me who speak the language and know their way around. Previous time in Japan has shown me that English is not a language many people speak or know in Japan. But.. it seems there is a reason for this present moment, and I will have to practice patience to discover just what this “opportunity” is all about.
PL Precept #19 Begin once you perceive.
Pl Precept # 16 All things progress and develop
This peaceful and serene place is also on the grounds, day or night, it is tranquil and energizing. This picture was taken from someone in the party from Spain, I love it. I am filled with anticipation, yet I still don’t know if I can swing the trip on such short notice.
PL Precept #7 Everything exists in relativity
There comes a time when we have to “let go and let God”
Namaste – Oyashikiri
found on the side of a road in Japan.
sometimes near a park , sometimes not
what can I say
two wild and crazy guys
traveling with us in Japan
a shop along the way
a place to pray and meditate
seen from the window of the bullet train
as we flew by on tracks of iron
as if it was yesterday
the energy and drive
remains with me today
we came from lands far away
to learn and to pray
what I found most amazing
was that these teachers spoke not one word of English
The majority of the listeners
spoke (Brazilian)Portuguese, Spanish and a very few of us English
we gathered to pray for World Peace
to this day
the energy from this last visit
drives me to work harder every day
to become a better person
one who can dedicate and focus on
living in a way to bring about
World Peace
In Japan while there, it was hot the vegetation was lush
it was growing everywhere
where ever there was space
the green buds would push their way towards the light
LOVE is what nurtures growth
LOVE is what will see us through
LOVE should be part of everything we do
LOVE is beautiful
LOVE IS YOU
PL Precept # 11 Always be with God
Doubt that I will encounter too many 50 cent sales along the way. Certainly a sign from another day. But…. one never knows just what will be discovered, Certainly, I’ll travel ready to explore, should a door or window open, =^_^=
what every you find yourself doing
my prayers and thoughts are with you
PL Precept 10 – Love yourself and Others
barred
closed
no tresspassing
that is what the sign says
looking at the doors
I want in
sometimes in life
the words
and the visual
just don’t “jive”
PL Principle # 3 I will live with a mind of appreciation towards others and things
These doors – say “Happy”
Maybe someday they will once more open in
Welcome
