PL lesson 5- Widsom Comes Naturally when you are humble

“You will stop growing if you have a conceited or boastful mind. Always remember to be humble.”

This is when practicing the art of listening is so important. If we think we know it all, or already know what someone is going to say or do, we deprive ourselves of learning. It could be a new way of doing something, or a different viewpoint on a subject we think we have down pat.

Chinese New Year (year of Monkey) has already started in parts of the world. A time to celebrate with family and friends. In China, people travel for days to get home, this is a big holiday.

Where ever you are, however you are celebrating, may inner joy, satisfying rewards, and good health be the core essence of the new year.

bom dia…bon jour…. hello!

life itself is simple

it really is

it is the human mind

that complicates

what IS

I am sometimes at a loss

not necessarily for words

but for the “music” or visual if you like

to accompany the words

in life, there is always a positive and a negative

you cannot have one

without the other

one person speaks, the other listens

the start of a conversation

one sees something, and captures it on film/photo

they have already seen it,

what they are doing is capturing the moment

to share, to show, to express

one picture, a thousand stories

not one person wil have the same reaction

however, we will each have a unique response

if we stop long enough

to allow the moment to speak to us

PL Precept #1 Life is Art

PL Precept # 15 – All is a mirror

How we perceive and live our lives, is of our own making

we learn to take responsibility for our actions

The actions of our children often reflect one’s they observed

while growing up at home

When we are living our lives and moving through the maze of distractions,

wonders, and pitfalls, sometimes it is only in hindsight that we realize

the fall out or repercussions of our interaction with others.

whether we mean to or not, something we do, say, or not do or say

can be hurtful and cause sadness in another.

Wisdom comes from living life

not from reading about it

An artist that can bare his/her soul

using visual or auditory expression

is usually someone

who has lived and learned through mistakes and hardship

when we do something and it doesn’t work out

it is not a failure, it is a success story

the hard part was stepping outside

the comfort zone

expanding your horizons

allowing the depth of your Being

to experience all of what

Nature/God has provided

life is a banquet of choices

a seed was planted

& you were born

to live a life of art

Grant me the wisdom to know

When my time on earth is done

overcoming obstacles

An obstacle in life can come at us in many shapes, sizes and ways, it is how we deal with them that either stabilizes are stress levels or drives them around a bend.

A natural disaster, well…. there really isn’t much to be done, but find another way to reach our goal or destination. We grow in life by experiencing and creatively dealing with the situations that come our way. If we see the challenge as an opportunity we are more apt to enjoy the day no matter how we proceed.

May you be granted wisdom for your decisions,

hope for discouraging experiences,

your energy replenished during your tired times,

and renewed vision during down moments.

Life is like Art Art is Life

In life, in art, in projects, we get what we put into the task.
Do you sometimes skip a step here and there, cuz you’re in a hurry, then wonder later why something didn’t turn out quite like you expected?
Do you plan the event to get the event over with? Or is there a purpose to that event?
Is there a goal in mind, are their expectations?

Put your heart into whatever you do. If you are going to do something, you mas as well do it with enthusiasm. You will gradually begin to see what makes it interesting, and perhaps exceed expectations.

Treat Today as if it is your First Time Around.
Just because you succeeded in the past, doesn’t guarantee that things will go as smoothly today.

Today is today, NOW

Love fills my heart for each and everyone of you.

Maturation

Soon to be delicious semi sweet cherries, full of healthy juice and fibers, in life, our learning cycles are much like the cycle of a fruit tree. PL teaching for day 10 – Your Enthusiasm Can Lead to Opportunities. – Chances don’t just fall into our laps. They come to us when we are putting our full effort into something.
The cherries are from our garden, you can see the various stages of growth along the branches. If only we could view our own progress as we balance our day to day activities.what would we see. Would we see the various stages of growth in our journey to maturity? In nature, the tree has a purpose, each stage it goes through is committed to the end results. In PL the teachings guide us in living in a manner that brings enthusiasm into our actions, leading us towards a more productive and fruitful existence. Everything we do in life is of value, be open to new opportunities. Thank you for sharing this moment with me.

The Key to Success Is to Continue Without Giving Up

You need to continue and persevere to make your wishes and goals come true. Once you start something, continue it until the end. PL teaching – day 8

In PL we believe in living a “Prayerful Life” Morning and evening prayers help us overcome difficulties and live each moment with purpose. Prayer will also help us to progress and improve ourselves as we apply PL teachings in our daily life.
