the dress

A dress for all seasons.. maybe not… but it is a dress to go anywhere and do anything in.
the designer meant it for a “going out” dress.. It is labelled a cocktail dress… however, Alo liked it as a comfortable get around in dress. It wore well when she explored Cloven Forest http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Cloven/232/232/23

We found Cloven Forest while looking for a place to get some relaxation in, and get some work done. Cloven Forest is billed as a quiet calm place “that will comfort your soul as you wander beneath a canopy of trees and explore the forest. They( the owners of the sim) encourage photography and the build is wonderfully set out to allow for a lot of pictures both for singles and couples.

Clothes are such an interesting article in our wardrobe. I know there are many, not just myself and some of my friends, who dress for comfort…. you might be someone who shares my dislike having to dress to please someone else. I was never good at accepting having to wear a “uniform”. I am guilty of having once been a Designer -“labels” devotee…. thankfully I outgrew the phase.

The dress or clothing you wear should be # 1 comfortable .. I’m not one to say I only wear #$%, if I see something I like and it will be comfortable to wear, and easy to look after. then its a winner. My problem is that my “character” wants change from day to day. AND of course there is the question of , will naughty, nice, playful, serious, chilling, come into the equation of what to wear and how to wear it.

Think about what you wear, why you wear it, and how you wear it. Does what you come up with, stay the same from day to day, or does it change with your mood, the season, etc.

Yes contemplating the dress, dressing, and how to build the character that is seen visually, is always a good time filler. Another day we can discuss, the rest of the componets that make up your avatar. In SL we call it an avatar, in the RL, its the many personalities we wear from day to day.

How do you see yourself.

You’re happy, I’m happy. Have the mindset of “good for you, good for me” Express yourself in a way that makes others happy.

I was walking away from the PC, out of my office when I saw Shirley’s lastest post, she and her husband are on a road trip .. and these are a couple of pictures she shared. Living in a city like I do, a big enough city, but a city non-the-less, I would love to be able to stand by the water’s edge and look out across a vast expanse of not empty space, but not city streets, high rises and the like. instead, water, hills, open skies.

The reality is, I have been by the ocean many times, both on the east coast and west coasts of both Canada and the USA. I have known that experience, that exhilaration of looking out into “forever” .. hearing the waves rolling/crashing in. I’ve stood high on the cliffs in CA. looking down at otters playing and basking in the sun… I’ve skated the boardwalks in Venice, CA, walked the sandy beaches along the coast in Florida. that was then, not now.. and I miss it. I’ve even experienced a salmon fishing boat off the harbour in Vancouver, BC. and must not forget the smell of fish and fresh lobster when I lived in Nova Scotia.

I was going to push these feelings aside .. then realized that it is part of life, my life.,, her pictures reminded me of other moments in my life, and for a moment I felt a tug at the heart strings.

It’s OK. to remember, and its OK, to want to relive those moments, of course we can’t, BUT the memories are good, and they sure were moments well lived.

I want never to forget all the blessings in my life.

These two horses are out every morning when I go into the woodland. Most days they are side by side, certainly not far from each other. This was the first time I’ve seen them actually grooming each other. I had to pull over, put on the 4 way flashers and get out … They were showing such affection I wanted to capture the moment. It was a beautiful moment. Again a first for me. I have never been around horses much, I only got to see them from a distance. This past year, I would see these horses every day.. in the fall I’d roll my window down and call out hello. That they were part of my everyday, means they are no longer strangers. Seeing such gentleness from these big animals made my heart sing. It is such moments that I call out in happiness… Life is Good.

Smiles, share a kindness, enjoy the beauty in this wonderful world we live in. Too much these days is focused on negativity. Change the direction of your thoughts when you feel them wandering into the shadows. because, I repeat LIFE IS GOOD!

My attentions were not wanted. I can understand atho’ bright and sunny, there was a 30- 40 kmph wind happening. She had found a nice warm patch, the squirrels and chipmunks had scattered when I arrived.. it was peaceful and calm, I was an intrusion.

two feeders left, I have enough feed for another visit.

I had a very productive morning laid out, since the province is going on a shut down after midnight tonight, I thought to get some groceries in. Especially after my surgery come middle of the month, I am told I will not want or be able to do much for the first week or so. (activities, ie. running for groceries etc.) I will only be able to deal with soft food, should I have an appetite at all. However, that said, I do need to keep my body fed, I am diabetic and simply not eating is not an option.

Finding that the shops were all closed today, open tomorrow (with limitations) I took the time to play with my camera. At Dewberry it was one giant wind tunnel, I didn’t stay long, I filled the feeders, said hello to my male and female grosbeak that came to say hello.. and left. The above pictures were taken at Mer Bleue. The sky was alive with blue jays, I could see the flashes of white as they flew from tree branch to tree branch high in the surrounding trees. There were few of the smaller birds around this morning, the high winds could have been a factor.

Be a person who can say “I like it” Find what moves you the most and express your appreciation.

Japan – April 1

Rev Goto our minister here in Ottawa for some years, is now back in Japan on his way to the PL school where he is now principal. He was gracious enough to give me permission to share with you this photo he took on his way to work.

This man was my mentor here in Ottawa, I would not have studied and gone through for teachings in the philosophy of PL had he not encouraged me to do so. We never know in life when we will meet up with or come across a person or people who by their purpose and dedication lead you into or towards a different path. Being a Hokyoshi (Assistant Minister) in PL (Perfect Liberty) has enabled me to grow in both spirit and mind. I have never been happier with the “road” I’m on, the direction I’m taking, and with the all people I meet along the way.

These beautiful cherry blossoms that are now in full bloom, will eventually give way to leaves as they evolve through their cycle of life during the seasons. So will we, our time here is constantly in motion, we too change with the seasons, every day brings us a new beginning..

a glimpse within

a deep sadness welled up inside as I listened to the raw pain of a soul in need

how is it that we are asked to bare such pain

what is it that propels our minds into such unyielding hurt

memories that sear, that scar, memories of such overwhelming emotion

we are left in a state of utter chaos … our pain, sadness and grief

consuming us …. catching in our breath …. not allowing us one moment of peace

it takes but a second, to fall into the abyss of turmoil that threatens to take away any sense of sanity

yet… a part of me knows, there is a need to feel the pain so that it can be released

Don’t think overly about people. Instead of being excessively concerned about others, focus on what you should do.

Let us pray today for those who ae on a journey that is clouded with such grief,

the clouds will lift, and the sun will shine…

For today, they need our prayers to help them heal.

Join me in a silent prayer… I will ask the birds to take wing and fly the heavy burden(s) away,

in flight, the burden will lighten… the purity of the air will cleanse and bring renewal

the soft gentle rain, will cleanse and purify what pain remains.

The memory of our love will never diminish, but the wounds will heal

Love is a powerful energy, it has no bounds, and is not defined by earthly sentiments

Unconditional love is the very air we breathe – it is what binds us all together

For in this Universe, we really are all ONE… when one of us feels pain, it reverberates and permeates the air around us

Those of us who are strong today, let us pray for those who need our understanding and compassion.

God is Love, Love is God.

Monday Morning

Was it a dream, or was it real

I walked through the gardens, down towards the old ruins

when the horseman appeared .. just over the hill to my left.

How gallant the rider looked as the horse neared

slowing down to a slow trot, the man smiled

I smiled back, it was such a lovely morning,

there was a bird singing in the trees near where we were,

the morning light was bright with promise

somehow I knew, this would be someone I could like

with the ease of a man used to being in the saddle

he reached down, and beckoned to me

the horse and rider, now were standing still

without hesitation, I walked towards his outstretched hand

after all, he was on my land, surely he was part of our clan

Our eyes met, I saw the twinkle of mischief at the same time as

I felt my feet leave the ground…..

“ohhhh” escaped from my startled lips…

with practiced ease, he had lifted and placed me on the saddle between his knees..

and we were off, the horse had begun to move with powerful strides…

he leaned in and held me close, not a word was spoken,

as the horse was guided back towards the other side of the grounds

away from the ruins, and my home ….

is this a dream, will I awake to find I’m still nestled snuggly in my bed…

or….

I loved the look of the freshly cut wood…
My walk was full of interesting finds

The snow is melting, there are still a lot of icy patches, the few runners that went by, had to be careful, it was slippery and very wet in places.
