Day of Peace

!st of every month. In Perfect Liberty we have a special service/ceremony… we pray for World Peace and dedicate ourselves to live as peaceful human beings in our own worlds which include our home, school, work and community

Today the 1st is in the month of April and on our calendar here I see that this week, tomorrow for many it is Palm Sunday and later in the week, Passover and Friday is Good Friday leading to Easter week-end. A special time indeed for many.

I found a quote from Winnie the Pooh, A.A. Milne. “When life throws you a rainy day, play in the puddles”

How beautiful the world is when we can look around and feel the caring and love of friends/friendships. Some where tho’ there will be someone who needs a kind word or a smile today. If you can be that someone who can share a smile or offer a kindness, please…. try. A smile is priceless when it comes from the heart.

Let’s pray for World Peace. The path to world peace will open up with each person’s prayer for peace.

Makoto

Good morning, this is an audience attending a stage production of Grease put on by the players of a theatre group in a virtual world (Second Life) It was a full house, standing room only, I am attaching pictures and information on the show for anyone who is interested at the end of this post. You can have a look… https://virtualnws8.ca/2023/03/26/slea/

Please note that behind every avatar is a human being, The performers, the stage designers, costumes, dance routines, all these are worked out and presented to you by creative individuals with a passion to express their creativity to entertain bring smiles and a welcome moment of “thrill” to the audience. In that time, during their performance, we (the performers/audience) were gathered from all over the world.

The co-owner of the theatre company and his team had to have spent countless hours to gather the materials, or build them .. never mind the hours of rehearsal the team building, the set designing, the gathering materials, animations…what a feat. The players are from all walks of life and as I stated from all different time zones/countries. It was A M A Z I N G.

The applause, the audience appreciation was loud and genuine. It was the Makoto and the sincerity of everyone in that moment at that location that made MY day yesterday!! Wow.. to have shared in such an experience…

Put Makoto even into small things. Don’t let things go with, “Oh well” You will have a different outcome if you put Makoto

Sat.25th.

Its the middle of the night – sleep is happening somewhere else – Not happening for you – instead you are lying restless and alone – the room cold and dark is not inviting – you close your eyes again pulling the blanket up under your chin – then you feel it – a small paw presses into your side – the dog sighs in her sleep, her legs stretch out as her body relaxes even more. she’s happy… what is your problem?

Always have presence of mind. If you overexert yourself, you will get easily swayed by emotion. Always put the best makoto with presence of mind.

Nature has a way of showing its versatility and adaptive ways in the most creative ways. Rain, snow, sleet, ice, searing sun that blisters and burns, winds that tear and break apart, Nothing in life stays the same. The only constant in life is Change.

Applaud the Makoto of others. When you encounter good faith or kindness in others, make sure that you acknowledge it fully. This will make both you and them happy. (Makoto; One’s utmost sincerity)

Today being Thursday, I wanted a door that had history, yet in its simplicity and purpose it deserved recognition. It isn’t big and imposing, but it had a very special and important function. Never judge a book by its cover.

wonders we miss

Good Morning, since it is freezing rain and cold outside, I took to the virtual world to grab a few photos the other day. I posted the lying down resting by an open fire one on Instagram the other day. Just looking at the avatar chilling… squeezed a big sigh out of me… The one on the left is the avatar taking timealong her journey of discovery to dance. The opportunity was there so she took it.

Discover something new today. Have a willingness and an interest, and start your day with excitement.

Dancing is an activity that we do that it is all about the journey .. it is an opportunity to stretch our bodies, lift our arms to the sky, give space to areas in our bodies that have been dormant. It is healthy for us to be active. We get up and move, not to get somewhere but to enjoy the feeling of movement and reconnect with our bodies.

Chilling, taking time to be quiet, allow contemplation (in this example) gaze at the sky, listen to the fire crackling, watch clouds drift by, is that water in the distance, can you hear the sound of a waterfall, are the birds singing, a bee buzzing, allow the mind to drift, wander, if thoughts come, acknowledge them and then let them go… Chilling is making time for YOU.

Explore new thoughts, places, be open to the wonders around you. Do everything willingly and joyfully…

Day of appreciation

There was a time when life was simpler – when all we did was get up and go to bed our days were filled with learning about life, what was, what would be, Dad was the breadwinner the philosopher, photographer, gardner, Mother was the person who grounded our realities, dressed us, prepared our meals and when Dad passed away at a very early age, had to learn about being a single parent and bring up 3 daughters on her own. Humble beginnings… life was .. and will alway be, the moments we live, learn and experience the start of a new day.

Today is Thanksgiving (Day of Appreciation) in Perfect Liberty, but to each and everyone reading this, I ask you to take a moment while you read this, and just remember a happy moment in your past….who was in your life then, where were you, close your eyes just for a second, and smile at the memory, whisper thank you… it is such rewarding moment. Thank you for sharing it with me …

I live everyday with gratitude in my heart. Dad was a believer in family and community, he instilled in me a life long habit of always reaching out with a smile to strangers, I was the eldest and got to go with him almost everywhere .. he didn’t hold to I was not a boy, I was his daughter and he wanted me to grow up being proud of who I was, and to accept that others would find me “different” but that was their loss and not mine if they couldn’t accept that I “looked” different than they did. He taught me to be proud of my heritage, and to love the country I was born in. I am Canadian, born and raised, I love the many blessings I have had, in some cases “earned”…

Today in all PL churches internationally, service will be at 7 pm. whether you are in Japan, Brazil, Europe, USA, or here in Canada, we will gather at 7 pm and offer our gratitude to our ancestors and those who have shared in (been a part of) our lives.

Be grateful for everything. If you see everything as material to express gratitude, you can encounter a number of opportunities you are grateful for.
