Always have presence of mind

If you overexert yourself, you will be easily swayed by emotion. Always put the best Makoto with presence of mind.

Sunday

Season’s come and go.. yesterday the rose garden got pruned, while we* are snow bound some parts of the world are experiencing a different environment.

Multitasking reduces your joy by half

When doing something, give it your all. There is joy in everything.

Back road to simplicity and charm. Best of all… no snow.

I remember many years back, living in BC, we took a trip into the mountains… my husband at the time was an avid outdoors person. He had booked a rustic weekend,, the overnight was in a log cabin such as the one shown above, only it was in some remote location and totally a surprise to me… we required our own linen, the stove to cook on was wood, and the loo was a walk into the woods to an outhouse. Those of you who have known me for a long time .. know what my reaction would have been. The activity of the day, was fishing on a crystal clear lake from a row boat. the dog loved it.

Live today filled with enthusiasm

Life is an accumulation of the efforts you make, day by day. Live keeping in mind that “today” only comes once and live your precious life to the fullest.

Time and our past make up the pieces of who we are today. Today I would rejoice at reliving that moment in time. I squandered that opportunity,

It is Thursday, this is the link to Dan Antion’s site and the Thursday Doors weekly feature the weekly challenge for people who love loves and architecture. https://nofacilities.com/2025/02/20/riding-around/

My first, one on one with a barred owl. An amazing experience.

Appreciate each person’s good points

Everyone is human and has both good and bad things about them. Let’s strive to look for the good points in others so we can get along.

He swiveled his head to look at me when I spoke to him.. I almost felt he nodded. Talk about a breathtaking moment!

Take on any task with earnest enthusiasm and it will become interesting.

No matter what it is, if you really get into it, you will be able to find joy in doing it. The important point is to put your whole heart into what you are doing.

Wednesday

Let’s begin today with a smile

Let’s start the day with a positive outlook, looking forward to what we can discover.

The message is simple, try it all day… go around smiling … see how it brightens your day. does it/did it make a difference for you?

do u know?

Some furry scampered across the freshly fallen carpet of snow. Any ideas?

Don’t be capture by momentary troubles but continue doing everything with sincerity.(Makoto)

Sunday

All I am hearing yesterday and today on the radio is the hype about the big game today. Interesting when I keyed in football yesterday I got a lot of info. on soccer.(Soccer is called football in other parts of the world). Apparently the two teams playing today are creating quite a stir, The Chiefs have held the title and the Eagles want to take it back, they won it a few years back. Communication seems to play a big part in all that goes down.

Communication is important in all our lives. I suspect that today, everyone will be focused on NOW.

Today’s PL “thought for the day”

At one time I would have just said “good luck” but it seems there is a lot of hard work with hours of practice and dedicated focus on accomplishing team work... there has to be a winner, but I think from what I am hearing … it will be close… What will be, will be.

Wednesday

How can human beings who claim to be caring loving beings, hunt and harass a beautiful living creature just trying to live his/her life. For the sake of a picture and ???

Snow

These were taken yesterday, it was balmy, mind you I was bundled up with a very long coat, and Bogs* (boots that are made for Canadian winters, keep the feet warm to -058 degrees.) .. and layered “to the nines”. To do the Bog on days when the winds are whipping over the landscape, can be very refreshing. I enjoyed my walk, there was no one else around, There is something to be said about sitting on a bench in the middle of a snow covered Bog. The birds were huddled in the woods fluffed up, keeping warm. The one squirrel I saw was nuzzled in against a tree in the elbow of another branch. He had no interest in leaving the sheltered nook for a peanut.

When I got to the part of the Bog that leads back to terra firma, the wooden boardwalk that crosses over water, was snow covered, the winds had picked up enough that the dried stalks from the water plants .. whispered and sang as the spirited winds ran through them. Beautiful and serene.

The walk provided me with time for quiet reflection, any sadness was carried away by the breeze. Its cool caress as it gently brushed my cheeks, wiped the silent tears. Nature embraced me with the comfort I needed.

Your smile is what is needed

A smile invites happiness and cheer and is essential to energize others as well as yourself.
