Thanksgiving -Month of May

23c365f6af44dd8272a6b5fd1d1f9938

Good Morning on May 21st, which to those of us practicing living in Perfect Liberty is the day we celebrate with a special service that offers up our thanks for the blessings we received during the month.

A thankful heart, is one that will enjoy happiness and the vibrant world around us.

I must say from the number of e-mails I received on yesterday’s post, many of  you have not heard or had necessarily favourable encounters with personnel from the agency that was mentioned in yesterday’s blog.

After reading some of your comments and responses, I reflected back, and honestly I can find no negatives with our experience. LOL would I do it again, no, but  everyone we met was helpful, and in no way gave us any reason to change our “day off”  happy feeling.  It is like… you are going to head out on an excursion with a friend, you need some cash,  you stop in at a bank, find their machine is down and you have to go inside to deal with a teller.  there is a line up, so you have to slow down and just wait your turn.  You deal with it.

The problem in our society is we want things to work like they always do, and we want to hurry up and get on our way, or get  on with what we are doing.  Distractions can be annoying, but they need not be.. if we are presented with a challenge, it is an opportunity to discover why the Universe brought our frenetic pace to a stop.  I was on a holiday, these young men/women working were stuck in that building working a shift. The sunshine and fresh air that was beckoning was not in their reach till after their shift, and dear knows what responsibilities they had once their work day was over.

Life can be colourful or it can be bleak.  It is after all art of our making.  We create the thoughts, it is our decision to  enjoy a moment or to be dragged down by circumstances.   During the PL Thanksgiving Services, we, members humbly express our appreciation to God for all the blessings of the past month and sincerely ask to be guided and protected by the grace of Oyashikiri in the coming month.

We renew our determination to follow and practice the teachings of PL. and to share this love/faith  wholeheartedly with others.

2e1e6225e6e428947b464e32403b8c18A painting takes time, it happens over a period of time. Why is it that we are so often wanting things to be just right all the time, as an artist I know that some of my best pieces came about because I made mistakes that meant I had to pause, reflect and review, then action .. usually always in a different direction, giving what I was doing greater depth.

Service this evening at 7 pm. in all PL churches everywhere.

ps..I say thank you to all of you who commented to me on yesterday’s blog. It made it all the more special and endearing to me.  Blessings …

daytime adventure

d061c545d187463014aac8405b8c2ddf Good morning everyone!

What a wonderful adventure my friend and I enjoyed yesterday, we spent the whole day living each moment to the fullest.  At the end of the day we were laughing so hard that not only did we have tears in our eyes, my sides ached from all the full body laughs.

My husband bless his heart had to listen to the two of us recount our adventures when we got in.  From his expression, I think our outpouring mirth and chortling was, an experience for him of ” hmmm guess you had to have been there.”

yesterday’s PL lesson, was “Handle things that come your way one by one”  I can honestly say, my friend and I did just that.  Not only did the weather cooperate, the people we encountered were wonderful.  To the men at the border that had to spend time with us explaining what they were doing and why, we offer our heartfelt thanks, it was a quiet time at the border,, so we were fortunate to have experienced their “sunny” dispositions.  Perhaps quizzical at our having wandered into their domain…. they were gracious all the same.

We saw a lot of these badges, being worn by young men in navy uniforms The many many times I have crossed into the States, I’ve never had the pleasure of seeing so many uniformed personnel.  Yesterday we got to see where they worked inside the building that is there.  Now I know what is inside the building.  There is always something new to learn. =^_^= Having never seen this area of the border crossing, we were both rather curious and looked around us much like we would have enjoyed a stroll through a museum, or a first time visit with a friend. (which we also did yesterday)

Ok so the decor was rather severe, and the colour scheme was not meant to be welcoming.  It was a no-nonsense  environment, the metal seating in the waiting area gave us a clue that not all visitors to this area enjoyed  the visit, nor was their any indication that tea and crumpets would be offered. However, the staff, the men we interacted with, were cordial and did their best to make sure we were at ease.

0552aea56ae6f29a0d7313148b2342e3As a Canadian living near the border into the States, we travel there a lot and we love discovering the vast array of geographical countryside they affer.

The people we meet along the way have always been welcoming and happy to share their country with us.

Be aware, that even though we are neighbours, they have their own rules, laws and ways of enforcing them.

I think that what made the days so special for my friend and I was that everyone we met was so special, each in their own way.

Best of all each encounter we had with a challenging opportunity, we saw the humour and the fun side of the experience.

It was a long day,and each moment was lived to the fullest, it certainly will be a day that will have lasting memories for us, and our friendship has taken on even more sparkle.

We should live each day with enthusiasm, after a good night’s sleep, wake up refreshed and ready for whatever comes your way.   One of my frist thoughts for today was that perhaps, since we travel so much into the States, we should look into the Nexus card. =^_^=

148f5fb37857a68807481cb2e0e1ad0aLife is good!  I’m happy happy happy…..  how about you?  You ready for a “boss” day,  May each and everyone of you feel the love I send out your way, may your day be blessed with sunshine and the making of happy memories.

bonjour, good morning! buen dia

Do you pray, is a very personal question. As individuals we are all unique and our way of expression, and faith is something that is ours and ours alone.  Or is it?  What is it that we are told growing up, try not to talk about politics, or religion, stay on safe ground.

When we become friends with someone, it is a process that happens over time, some people you may feel an immediate kinship towards, and others, well, let’s say, we have to warm to.  Some we never connect with at all.

With the passing of time, the friends that stay in our lives are the friends that accept the changes that  happen in life and with our personal evolvement.  And of course vice versa. No one stays the same from day-to-day, the changes may be subtle at first, but change we do.

Happiness  happens when we establish goals and work towards achieving them on a daily basis. Living in Perfect Liberty means we pray not only daily but all the time, it is a way of life. We connect with a higher power and do our best to stay connected in all we say and do.  When we can do this every day with true appreciation, we will be filled with a genuine feeling of joy .. this will radiate and envelope those around us.

I believe our faith and good intentions will resonate with the friends we make along the way, some will stay a long time and others will be move on towards their own destiny and purpose.  What is important is that you remain true to yourself.

a story, people,time,places

Naikoon Rainforest,Queen Charlotte Islands, BC CanadaDon’t worry .. this is a short story =^_^= I was recently asked to go through long forgotten boxes (husband doing a clean up and rearranging in part of the house).. I got to go through several boxes of pictures. Pictures, tons of pictures, there was nothing to do but sit down with a box and begin.

What emerged were pictures of another lifetime,in fact ..many life times .  People, places long gone from my present. Although I did remember some of the moments, if I’m honest, many moments captured were really no longer part of  my current bank of memories, and most of the people who I came across would be total strangers to me now.  I wouldn’t recognize them unless they came up to me and said, “hey, remember me…”

????????????????????????????????????

Like pebbles in the ocean

being washed in by the waves

daily our lives change…

sometimes the changes are subtle

other times, the change is drastic

shattering your life pattern

so that nothing remains the same…

the quiet slow changes do the same,

only you have time to assimilate

and are always on top of your game.

The memories were and are good …  I realized that although at the time I might not have appreciated the growing pains…

( IF there was any) but in seeing the happy faces, and the recalling the moments/events/happenings, I felt really blessed to have had  such caring and loving friends.

People change, friends drift apart, what was, was, and what is, IS.  The saying “when one door closes, another opens” is so bang on.  When we enjoy life, with all the opportunities we are offered, greet the day with enthusiasm, our days become more rewarding.  Not matter what it is, what the day bring, really get into it.  Put your heart into everything you do, don’t squander the adventures offered by the Universe.

ce00249d8878b494394bf12392d36775When you go through a door, don’t just open it, walk through, and forget it, each door tells a story, make sure you leave your presence known.  What will your story be today.

I cried

55844e7f7d4e7847d9e052fe8920fe7a

I cried today

I cried yesterday

I could not stem the tears

for they had been waiting years

locked somewhere deep inside

somehow they found a way

to have their say

they were not bitter

simply sad

was there pain in the tears that rained

down my cheeks, one by one

leaving  tear stains that betrayed

the sadness in my heart

I recognized the pain,

what I don’t understand is why…

norway, lofoten islands

why now ………

emotions, they are a way for the body to express feelings that have been locked away

we can hide from our”selves” for only so long, then when least expected, someone, or something touches the right button, and a door swings open.

the raw emotion of another time, place or experience comes to life and you are open and vulnerable to the lesson (challenge) you didn’t deal with before.

In life, we face a new day, every day, each one is unique and special, no two are the same, and no two people are alike.

It is when you admit to, and claim the pain, sadness, grief or sense of loss, that you finally regain a footing to understanding.

… we cope much better when have friends and loved ones who care, and lend support when we falter, they can’t respond to us though .. if we are silent about what is happening to us.

Crying is healing and revitalizing, it is part of life.

If we turn the other away

will the memory be erased

We edit, rewrite, correct and revise

Tiger's nest monastery, Paro,Bhutan (by druzi)A monastery in Paro Bhutan called the Tiger’s Nest.

My day started with what I was finding to be a very vexing problem.  I was doing a project in Photoshop, (software program) and for some reason, something that I knew I could do, wasn’t happening.  No matter what I did or how I tried to make it work, it wasn’t working.  Stubborn to a fault, I was determined to get this project done, and off my “To Do list”

To reach the Tiger’s Nest one must travel a very winding and steep path up the mountain.  It is easily done when one takes the time to know the route, and to listen to the more experienced traveler.  When one is stubborn, we don’t always reach out, we instead waste time by repeating the process that we aren’t doing right in the first place.

A call to a wonderful talented friend in the UK. set me back on the path, this time with better coordinates. I had interpreted the numbers wrong at the very start, I assumed,…. based on that assumption, everything else I did was not working. My friend is a born leader/teacher, she didn’t do it for me, she redirected my thinking so that I was working with the right numbers, in so doing the calculations worked.

There are times when we need to reach out… we need to allow the input of another “voice”  Not to tell us what to do, but to guide us in making the right choices.

BRAVE THE CLIMB TO THE TIGER’S NEST Taktsang Palphug, commonly known as Tiger’s Nest, is a seventeenth-century structure clinging to a mountainside a dizzying 10,200 feet above Paro Valley. Why the name Tiger’s Nest? Because it’s said that in the eighth century, Guru Rinpoche flew to this exact spot on the back of a tiger

determination

desktop-1406688492

In life when we begin a new project, or decide to make a major change in our lives, usually the first step, is a germ of a seed is planted, it takes root and then begins to grow. With some people the idea may lie dormant for some time before they actually decide to move forward.  Then again, some may begin the process but get side tracked and the idea is left to grow on its own, without any further input from the originator.

1c41caa887790288cf94cdf0c649d7e8

When we don’t take a firm stand or move forward with a determination to see the project through, results are often not what we expected or anticipated.

desktop-1406688490

Some roots show such determination they will grow with each passing moment, slowing inching their way to the light of day and will use any way/method available to them to do so.

When we try to suppress a desire or passion that needs expression, especially one that is a lesson in life we have to learn or face… …. …. the force of nature will prevail.

There are times when we see a perfection …. however the perception, might not necessarily be consonant with reality, in moments of grace (enriching time in  inner development and self-expression)…  those involved in creative and artistic endeavors will find their “work” very satisfying.  For it will appear to be divinely inspired and when such moments happen, relish them, enjoy the moment, then flow with the changes…. let go, let it change to what it will be…
