-the diamond-

Nature recreated…..

the diamond is cut to reflect light so that it sings and dances with unbridled energy.

A master craftsman can with patience and skill breath new life and luster where none shone before.

In prayer and devotion, we too can shape our inner workings, to reflect and radiate a love as pure as the newly formed crystals of a snow.

Holy Spirit I pray unceasingly today and always, that I will continue to grow

as a person, welcoming life enthusiastically,

I will consider the future my friend, and set courageous goals.

Last but not least, I will overcome the negative confronting me by doing specific positive, good.

With these resolves as my commitment,

opportunities and challenges will be met, with full systems on go!

my smile will reflect the diamond of my soul…

Abandoned or lost

Dec.29_002

Where does the time go.  Mid July, soon to be August, it wasn’t that long ago, that we were still in 2013, Mother Time is slowly nudging the dial along,  Once  upon a time I was a hedge hog, and had to decide, to stay and remain or to stand up and grow, allow and become the woman I really wanted to be.  OK  OK no matter what disguise one wears, we never escape being the person we are. It is so much easier to wear a mask and not face the day-to-day issues face on.

Dec 23_002

So do I abandon the Tiny in me, or do I incorporate and used the lessons I gained into the woman I am today.  Of course all of the experiences one lives, become a part of who we  are,  it is a matter of how we assimilate and process life’s blessings, rewards and challenges that make us who we are today.  Living in the NOW means that I have neither abandoned or lost any part of me. I embrace all that I have been and all that I am now.  I simply AM, no more, no less.

And what am I.  I’m a person who is very happy and wants to share my love of life with each and every one of you. Now and always.

We are all unique, in our own personal way, that is what is so wonderful about meeting and getting to know another person. I grew up in an age when we were encouraged to have pen pals. With the electronic age, snail mail seems to have gone the way of the 10 cent phone call.

Norway, Alesund, by waynekkorea on Flickr

Yet, the internet now provides us with opportunities that would have been unheard of in days gone by.  The meetings can be more frequent, and more direct if not face to face, they are still person to person. Respect becomes key, we may appear to be different, we may dress, walk, talk in a different manner, but we are still connected,  We all feel, we all have needs and wants, even though our experiences/challenges differ, we came to “be” in the same way.

Intriguing build  isn’t it.  So are the people around us.  Each person in your life, is a whole new landscape waiting to be discovered.  Accept and respect differences, strive for harmonious relationships.

Good morning everyone!

Brazil FIFA 2014

We are not all soccer fans, some of us don’t enjoy sports at all, however, I would like to say something this morning about the young men shown above.  This is the first year that I have really been watching any of the soccer games with a personal interest.    Many in our church are from Brazil, so it has been fun to watch the enthusiasm and camaraderie.  Especially since although I liked Brazil, I lean towards another team.

What I soon discovered is that this is a very high emotion game, the fans are very invested in the players and the results.  For the first time I was listening to the announcers, the talk before games, and the post match wrap ups.  When Brazil lost yesterday, I felt the emotion of the players hit like a bolt of lightning, the devastation of their situation could be felt across the miles and through the television.  My husband a veteran at all of this, merely shrugged and took it all in stride.

Several players on the field yesterday play for Chelsea (UK) the young man who scored for Brazil was one of these players.  His team mates were playing for Germany.  These young men are not robots, they train, train and train some more.  It is not about the money the make, or how they live their “personal” lives, they are paid professionals who dedicate themselves, mind, and bodies to the game of football (soccer).  They played hard and gave all they had to get to where they are today,  they played their best yesterday, even when the score was 5-0 for the longest time, they persevered, NO they didn’t win the game, but they have gained my respect for the sincerity (makoto) they put into what they were doing.

In a game, there is a winner and a loser (the person(s) who do not win,  BUT in the PL(Perfect Liberty) world we are all winners when we do our best, when what we experience and learn in our challenges, makes us a better person,

Brazil still has a chance for Bronze…. lets give these young men the support they need to get back out there and shine, win or lose.. they keep us watching.

Congratulations to Germany for a game well played!

R your convictions being tested

winding road

There are days when the way ahead is just so darn daunting.  You know you need to continue and persevere, yet you seem to be encountering one challenge after another.  Stand still for a moment, and quiet the mind.  Allow moments to pass without thinking about what needs to be done, or how to do something. Then readdress the situation with an appreciation for what needs to be done.  Take initiative in tackling the work or task with makoto (sincerity).  Let your strong resolve carry you to the next  bend or fork in the road.

winding road 2

We are all on the same journey, only we have each our own landscapes to discover. Life is never dull and it never stands still. Often we travel parts of the journey on our own, but, we are never ever alone, THE LIFE FORCE OF THE UNIVERSE (GOD) is always with us.  I heard a wonderful gospel song yesterday that I hope you enjoy, no matter what philosophy you follow it has a positive message ….

This picture* was taken somewhere along the Central Coast, farmland, ocean, ocean, farmland with some nice mountains thrown in along the way for good measure.  I talk a lot about quiet, contemplation and the living life as it it presented to you.  Being unique each and every one of us, experiences life in a different way.  No matter how grown up I get,I never cease to be amazed at how much I am touched by another human beings courage, or determination in the face of challenging news or obstacles that are put in their paths.

No matter how difficult today seems, when you have that piercing moment of stabbing pain and doubt, remember that it is only a passing segment in you life, and that tomorrow will be another day.  Actually in an hours time, this moment will be part of history.

LOL how often of late do I hear, darn I forgot what I came in to do, or I know I left my glasses somewhere, for me its my car keys, they turn up, inanimate objects get put down, or left behind when something new (thought/phone call/distraction) comes along.

In PL, there is a Principle that I have to work hard at everyday to do my best to live in this way.  It is PL Principle #2, I will not have complaints about others, matters, nor the weather. Rather I will always be creative and will look for shortcomings in my own thinking and actions.   Principle #6 – I will not be stubborn, being captured by my own thoughts.  There are only 21 principles in PL (Perfect Liberty) but by golly, each one packs a mitt full of lessons to work on …  My challenge every day is to try and bring each one into my life as my journey through the day progresses.

It helps me to be reminded to leave the past in the past, and to remember that what is important is what I am doing right now, this very moment. ( I smile thinking of you as I write this knowing that you will be reading my words sometime later today.)  A friend asked me who I am speaking to when I get personal … I’m speaking to each and ever pair of eyes that wander through my thoughts with me. I feel very blessed to have met you through this blog.  And believe me when I say that I appreciate each and everyone of you, I’ll never tire of our friendship, it will change, it will flow, and it will grow.  That is what life is all about.

WE are not inanimate objects, we are a life form, part of the Universe, we survive and regroup, we are like the moss and the lush green forest that reclaims what time forgets.  It is a slow process, but the growth is life.  Life is beautiful in all its stages.

Good Morning Everyone!

9a98ec7ae23e621913bcac5743154dc4

Remember this picture.  I’ve used it before.  I loved the stained glass windows.  I loved how the windows survived while the insides of the church was showing the rubble and decay of neglect and time.  Not being the photographer who took this picture, I do not know what the outside of this building looked like.  My vision  can only drink in what I see.  My emotions and feelings  toss and turn inside my head looking for the words to explain what seeing this moment in time does to and for me.

Today’s meditation/lesson   >The bigger the task, the more  your convictions are tested <  So many questions arose when I looked at the church, the light from outside is still coming through the windows, on a bright sunny day, how mesmerizing the view must be.  How enchanted I am just gazing at the light coming in through the various colours.  The peeling on the old walls has formed a lace pattern of intricate designs, were I there today, I would zoom in for a closer look. (times like this I miss my viewer in SL)  ( LOL.. for those of us who are part of the community in the virtual world of SL, there is a lot I’m sure that we at times wish we could do in our everyday lives as easily as we do in our other reality)

window 1

We all have windows in our lives, and mostly we look out.. not into them.  Why is that do you think?  When we encounter a challenge, are given a diagnosis we don’t really want … … what is it we tend to do.  Look on Google, ask around about it, share the information with a friend.???  We’re given a window, what do we do with it…

Flowers in the WindowWindows are symbolic of consciousness.  Yet windows are often simply part of our physical space, and are given thought to when we need to ope or close the shutters /blinds.. or look out to see if it is raining.  Unlike the door which we  interact with on a daily basis.  Using it to enter or leave the premises, yet I doubt we pay that much attention to it.  Tasks and challenges/opportunities are like windows and doors in our lives.  We “see” them, we use them, but often don’t really “see” them at all.  They just are.

wwindow,broken found on voicenet.asia

Sometimes we need to look at the window, really look at it, and see it not only from outside, but from inside as well. When we encounter resistance in our thinking, we are looking in only one direction, usually out, it is often what is inside that is at the heart of the matter.

Come sit with me, share this time to contemplate the moment.  Together we will live this moment in time, so when we move on, this moment will not be forgotten.    Our windows allow the light to come in, when it does, let it shine……………….

No regrets

Having attended at blues concert the other night,my mind is still tripping through the various emotions and feelings that played through the night.  The DJ had a tremendous knowledge of the music he played and he knew how to blend and knit the sounds so smoothly that you were drawn in almost immediately to his web.  The DJ was one, SkyRider Sicling  he plays nothing but the blues, down home southern blues.  His partner is Butterflyrose,  (owner of Sweet Magnolias)  together they bring the house down.  I will be reporting more on them at a later time.

What DJ Sky brought to me, were sound vibrations, that vibrated and sang through me like a massage that started inside and worked its way through out my body,( as the song goes), to higher and higher planes of personal ecstacy.  If you are a music lover, what ever style you connect with, you know what I mean.  This DJ  has a talent for weaving a spell with his selections. that is an art form.  Many other’s have a talent with music and can put together a good play list,  This is not what this DJ does, he knows his music so well, that he can actually work the songs into a total experience that encapsulate you in his web. Compare the difference of going to the movies, and going to an Imax theatre.

His music may not be your style, but you appreciate the blues in anyway  shape or form, you owe it to yourself to hear this man’s performances.  I am told he does a gospel hour on Sundays, I have yet to attend or hear what he does with Gospel, but you can believe me when I say, as soon as I can get to one of his Gospel presentations, I’ll be there.

In life, we all face difficulties / challenges, and how we deal with them always involves choices.  Sometimes we make good choices, and other times, we don’t quiet hit the mark. I’ve learned that if I am faced with a choice, its because I have a lesson to learn.  Whatever that lesson is, it is mine, I own it.  When you own the choices you make in life, when you look at problems as opportunities for growth.  You have no regrets… life is good.  Another door opens.

Blessings everyone! happy start to the week-end.   Oyashikiri

what new to you, can do for you

bridge, hanging, west coast trail by stodmyk on Flickr

Many years ago now, I crossed such a bridge. I didn’t bravely just walk across, I went through a bout of  “OMG I can’t do this, NO. no, no.. you can, but I won’t”  Eventually of course, I did go across and it was an exhilarating experience.  Having accomplished that bit of adventure, when I was asked to go salmon fishing an a fishing boat on the Pacific, my negativity was less emphatic, however, I did tell everyone that I do suffer from motion sickness, no problem I was told….  so on board we climbed and off we went.  All went well for the first while, but when we got further from land, and the water got really choppy, you guessed it… I was hanging on for dear life, and as green as fresh young asparagus coming out of the ground.  No matter how I tried to ride it out, it just wasn’t happening, we had to return to shore.  I share this with you because not all our adventures end on a happy note.  All we can do is give it our best.  I tried.

This brings me to more recent events.  After a very long winter of inactivity, I realized that my body, that once was active, and an almost daily visitor to the gym, had become a stay at home,, do nothing much physical blah.  I am not exaggerating, I really let myself go, don’t ask, it seemed right at the time I made the decisions to cut back at the gym, and then stop altogether.   When I looked in the mirror I saw from my shoulders up, hey when its cold outside and you don’t go out much, you walk around in very comfortable clothes. Then one day my friend said let’s go for a walk.  Sure I thought, no problem.  I’m a walker, last summer I would walk miles without batting an eyelash or breaking a sweat.  Off we went on our walk.  Surprise, we made it around  a couple of blocks, and I was ready to call it quits.  Shock and dismay was the order of the day!  My mind did not want to accept what my body was saying.  Me, dance all night, walk for miles, climb trails and hike, me!!!! could it really be.   Hmmmm look in the mirror again, wow, I’ve aged….. my body is no longer in its mid 30’s early 40’s I no longer have extra energy to burn, I’ve been lazy, and my body has relaxed and gotten S L A C K….  “you reap what you sow”.    Time to make changes.

exercise 1

That day was the start of a new “attitude” on my part.  No. not new to me, but I had to revisit and bring it back into the “now”.  It is like I used to listen to music all the time, and somewhere along the way, I stopped.  Then a friend played a song by Macy Gray and something inside said, “hello”.. I found the 2nd hand  CD  “On How Life Is”,  at  a Sally Ann,  it is new to me, and I’m once more listening to music.  My body is having to relearn activity, rebuild my core strength so I can walk and not get tired.  Fortunately I have a good friend who is a great walking coach and buddy, just knowing she is there for me when  I need her, helps big time….  All this to say, I’m back to the gym, I’ve got myself a Personal Trainer, so from time to time, I might not get my blog done on time, but I will surface, be patient with me please while I find my new “RHYTHM”

exercise

It is not the same bridge, but its the same kind of challenge, I’m heading towards another adventure….  Cycles of life repeat themselves, only in different formats.     Have a great day everyone!  Smile!!!    Oyashikiri
