Hearts & Flowers

Pure vintage we would never see this today, cigarettes are no longer in vogue, but the artist put together a picture showing a couple showing their togetherness, his arm holding hers, their cigarette tips touching, note that the gesture forms a heart connecting them. OK OK, I’m allowed some poetic licence. LOL I thought it charming =^_^=

Hearts and Flowers day isn’t just for lovers, it is a day that celebrates caring and love. although over the years the marketing has been more and more about the gifts one gives, or tied to romantic stories, new engagements, marriages, and first dates etc. I see it more as a day of love,period. A good friend recently lost one of her parents, which is a time of loss, she and her family have chosen to celebrate their loss, by celebrating the parent’s life. How joyful, to honour the life and the positives this person gave to other during her lifetime. Love is a blessing in our lives. the word itself has been so used and misunderstood, but in reality, it is Lasting ONENESS (with God) and Vibration (energy) that is Endless. Oyashikiri

PL Precept #1 life is Art….

PL Precept#2 To live is to express One’s Self

We all have different ways of feeling, thinking and expressing ourselves. The artist that pulled this concept together was “brilliant” When I saw this picture I simply could not pass it by and not share it. Obviously there is a love for biking, but to bring it into the home and use it so creatively … I was impressed, and it brought a big smile .. what a joy it must be for visitors to walk in and find this display. The simplicity of it all … I know a young lady who bikes, she loves being out on her bike, she is a long distance rider, and an off-road biker.. the whole experience for her is spiritual and exhilarating. Much like the feeling of freedom and heart felt connection to nature when one is on a motorcycle, riding the back roads.

We are all unique in our own way. When we live doing our best, and following the laws of “Nature” (God) – trusting and believing in our eternal connection to the “Universe” (Tao) we become more accepting of others’ and their differences, learn to respect each other, one step at a time, we grow towards world peace. A peaceful heart, begins in one’s Self. God is the power, source and law of the Universe! amen.

Happy Monday everyone!

Living in the moment, being mindful means that you are living each moment with awareness, being present, addressing the moment with a clear state of mind. In “biblical” times it is told that Jesus walked on water and that in/with faith, so could his followers. The moment they let fear/doubt take over, they sank. It is not easy to always be clear of negative feelings, but we can learn, we can practice the ART of trusting and truly believing that the “Universe” no matter what the challenge, has a reason for where you are and what you are living at any given time.

Begin by starting your day with a positive attitude. PL Principle # 2 I will not have complaints about others, matters, nor the weather. Rather I will always be creative and will for shortcomings in my own thinking and actions.

Begin each day with a renewed sense of appreciation

After watching the news last night and seeing the snow storms that hit parts of the States and Canada leaving behind a mess to be cleaned up and dealt with for days to come, went searching for a picture that showed green vegetation and new growth. Wow my prayers and positive energy is being sent out to all of you who need that extra boost.

The PL lesson for today was > Begin each Day with a Renewed Sense of Appreciation < Are you living each day and getting into a rut? By making small changes in the things you do, your day to day life can become fresh and exciting. We are here today , by the grace of God. Let’s make each day meaningful, by starting out with a feeling of gratitude for a brand new day. In being genuinely happy about life, we will be blessed with a deeper sense of happiness.

Smile, you are loved each and every day, sometimes we may not feel very loved, but you are. Know and believe, you are loved.

Has the ship sailed

Are there moments when you feel the ship has sailed and you are not on it. …. Do you feel you are standing on the dock watching it sail away thinking you should have gotten there sooner ….. If you are on the dock, it is because that is where you were meant to be …… That ship wasn’t the one that had a berth on it for you. At the time, you might not realize that, but Believe …. because if and when the time is right for you to be on the boat, you will be.

There is no denying that life can be a struggle. Often we can feel pulled in far too many directions. World news is negative and television and movies can be so violent. How do we stay tuned to the “word of ‘God/TaoUniverse”, we Trust in our divine connection with the Higher Power. we Believe with all our hearts that our prayers are heard, and Know that we are blessed. Whatever we are living it is because we are in a learning curve, give thanks that you are alive, the moment will pass, and life will move on.

Say good riddance to the past and move on. Today is a brand new day. My prayers are with you today, and always. Blessings, Oyashikiri…

How do you see the world

Do you wake up and view the world around you in a positive light? Are you a half full, or half empty (glass) person? Or do you tend to see the world through a cloud, or haze that never seems to go away?

There is beauty in all times of the day or night, and if you are in a mood to find it, there is also gloom and loneliness even doom. When we give ourselves to God (higher power/TAO) we are blessed with a divine inner strength that helps ground us and travel with us through the many challenges we face in life. Before we can even begin to find happiness with someone else, or in the world, we have to begin with liking ourSELVES. To take responsibility for who we are and what we do.

Acts of respect and courtesy are reflections of how much we value others. We have all heard the expression, “no man is an island” its been around for years, and it has stayed around, because over and over it is a lesson we need to be reminded of.

All meaning in life is arbitrary. It is not tied to god, family or self unless we define it as such. Nothing in life gives us meaning in and of itself. It is we who assign meaning to objects and relationships.

That said, Wake up World! It is Tuesday, have a happy happy day! Blessings.. Oyashikiri

Good Monday Morning Everyone

There is a great sense of joy when we are able to express our true selves. Our environment and the things that happen all around us, are all materials for self expression. In PL we are taught that with God’s blessing, we will be able to freely express ourselves using these materials. World Peace

World peace starts with peace at home… Our world is overflowing with problems. When we pray, let’s pray for not only family and friends, but for the happiness and peace of the entire world. the joy of expressing kindness to others is much greater than when someone does something kind for you. When we can be genuinely happy for someone else, our lives will be blessed and we will experience a deeper sense of happiness. Love is beautiful, it is pure, and when we share our love beyond our own borders, it flows out to the entire world. Amen! Oyashikiri
