PL Peace Tower – Holy Land – Japan

PL Peace Tower - Holy Land - Japan

Life is Art – “The Foundation of our Faith.
Annually we hold a Peace Tower Ceremony The spirits of all those who lost their lives in wars, regardless of race, religion or nationality are memorialized at the alter of the Peace Tower.

This picture does not do this room justice, it is an awesome sight, and the feeling when one enters is unique and powerful.  There are two arms (rooms) that branch out from this central alter.  In the ceremony we console the spirits of the dead and pray for the everlasting peace of  humankind.

On the first of every month – we celebrate Day of Peace.  Through this ceremony we pray for World Peace and dedicate ourselves to live as peaceful human beings.   Today being September 1. this is what we celebrated in church.

ALLO – Bonjour _ Hello – Hola – Konnichi wa   Being at the church always is a feel good moment, today though, I have a whole lot of extra good vibes, oddles and oodles…in fact.. I’m going to share it all with you…

Before I leave you. remember that September 14, we are having a garage sale – lots and lots of “stuff” “vintage” “new” and surprises.. if you live in the area, don’t miss out!

Believe me this smile is power packed with a lot of love and blessings – please have a great day where-ever you are, and should there be a tear or two, believe me, you are not alone, close your eyes and feel the hug that a wish of love can bring you.  Need a special prayer, we can do that too.  PL is here for YOU

Oh Yeah! – so what!

Oh Yeah! - so what!

Busy busy busy– I am playing host today to a mind that is non stop busy. Doing what you say? Haven’t a clue.
What is a “roo” to do” I want to sew, go to the gym, work on my blog, finish cleaning the fridge, make a replacement mat for next to the burner, package some costume jewelry for the garage sale, prune back the vines that are going crazy in the backyard and you want me to what!!!! Bunnies and eggs month isn’t till next spring!
S T O P …head for a quiet space and sit down and do nothing. That’s right N O T H I N G. now that is better, time to reflect on just what I would like to do in 3 minutes. Not before. First I will do NOTHING.

Works for me, by the time my brain and body realize that I am sitting absolutely still not listening to the chatter, the quiet ,moment has begun. Something magical starts to happen. From the moment you decide “you are in control, and you are going to do get things done at your pace and your way….things begin to happen.
In PL we work at being “mindful” being “present”, when the brain starts to chatter in unproductive blah blah blah. We quietly make time to center ourselves and take back ownership of our day.

Ask yourself, what is needed now and what can wait?
Oh Q Roo (kangaroo) is happy, happy happy! thanks for sharing this moment with me…..

There are also churches in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Oakland, New York and Hawaii.  These are the churches in North America.  For the locations of the churches in Brazil, Argentina, etc. you would need to contact the Holy Land in Japan,  In Japan there is a network of churches all across the country.  It is my understanding that the next huge network is in Brazil    .  Pertfect LIberty HQ > 2172 -1 Shindo > Tondabayashi, Osaka 584-8651  Japan

Pl Church (Perfect Liberty) has a history that goes back to the First Founder Rev. Tokuharu Miki who was formerly a Buddhist priest, the story begins in 1912, when Rev Miki met Rev. Tokumitsu Kanada.  Our history is fascinating one and one we will look forward to sharing with you.  The Second Founder was Rev. Tokuchika Miki, who passed away Feb. 2. 1983.  Our current ( Third ) Founder is  Rev Takahito Miki

The PL 21 Precepts are the basis of the PL Teachings.  They reveal the true path of life for all humankind.  Beginning with PRECEPT #1   Life is Art”  – It is these precepts that I write about and live in my life on a daily basis.  For me PL is a way of life.  Not just a philosophy or teaching. Like the TAO it transcends  all earthly definition.   I invite you to join  me in my travels in life for we are connected by the ONE and only divine energy of Universal Oneness -God/Tao           The flames spell out    LIFE IS ART

Treat today as if it is your first time around

Just because you succeeded in the past it doesn’t guarantee that things will go as smoothly this time around. Every day each moment, there is a new challenge to face.

Don’t be captured by the past. Live in the Now.

Blessings … as the blessing moves across my lips, I feel both energized and serene. I wish and pray for you, health, peace and well being. My soul celebrates with the joy of sharing.

In the still of the night

Written in the 50’s in the basement of a church.

Close your eyes, and let the song, the singers transport you to another dimension, another time, another place.
Access a place of calm.
Clear your mind and relax your body.
As you become still and listen
God’s presence at the core of your being will fill you with divine understanding.
PL’s unique “way” is always there to guide you
day and night.

When things don’t work out as I had planned, I don’t become discouraged. Open to divine inspiration, I know that new, creative ideas are always available to me.

Signs – inspiration is everywhere

While in Japan, I was struck in all directions by sights and sounds that were new to me.  I loved the different signs and huge billboards that we passed while enroute to our final destination.  I’m funny that way, I enjoy visual and tactile sensory delights.  I can sit for hours watching a Chinese New Year extravaganza on the telly, not understand a word, but be totally captivated by the colours and the sounds of singing, laughter & happiness that come to my  ears.  This is a sign that intrigued me while I strolled about taking pictures.  I had fun thinking of what it could be saying to me.

WP_20130802_028

The scene behind it was one of mystery and natural beauty.  Fantasy? Medieval? Science Fiction? it caught my imagination.

WP_20130802_021

In my mind’s eye I could see the vegetation that was so dense and lush, sheltering small animals and perhaps little fairy communities.  I was tempted to climb over the fence to explore  However, I was not dressed for exploring in thick overgrown vegetation and I had no one nearby that I could ask.  It was evening, and the sun was going down, so I listened to my “inner voice” and was content with knowing I had taken a picture of this inspiring view.  Today I remember to ask Rev. Eugene for a translation of the sign -” Danger! Do not play here”   was what the pretty sign said.  It was a warning sign.

The other sign that I liked was No Parking on the Street.

WP_20130802_032

Such an everyday sign.  but written in Japanese characters, and to my foreign eyes, it was a pretty picture.

All this to say -enjoy new discoveries, listen to your inner voice, dare to explore, the path will open up when we let go and let “God”  Always carry a good dose of common sense in your traveling bag.  Never leave home without it. Divine Nature/God is ALWAYS with us.  “Even if you don’t have what you need, you will find a way.”  Think creatively….. remember Life is ART………………

International group heads out

International group heads out

I would like to thank gentleman and scholar, Harry S. for graciously carrying the flag (Canadian) for me this day. I had managed the day before, but two days in a row, my body was not wanting to co-operate. Rick our sidekick in the English speaking group, carried the American flag. (In all we were  5 English speaking participants) Jennifer is behind Rick, Machiko is to the right of Harry and I the sole wee Canadian, is behind Harry. Thanks Harry for the picture, we may be weeks in getting our copy of the Japanese paper this picture appeared in.

We were headed for the Kyososai celebration (Founders’ Day) August 1. where we honor the spirits of the First and Second Founders and dedicate ourselves to spreading and sharing the PL faith with others for the rapid realization of World Peace.

The lovely Ana (from Spain) took this picture while visiting the Holy Land (Japan). She and her friends shared the room with us (dorm) what an energetic and positive group to share time with. The language was a challenge, but suffice to say, we had a great time – love-joy and happiness- always understood in any language.
Thanks Ana for permission to use this wonderful photo.

Have a great day everyone!
