Being happy!

I’m so happy. Happiness is such a good state of mind to be in. What is it about being happy that makes a day seem brighter, chores less of a burden, its a feel good feeling.

When we are cheerful, it affects those around us, it tends to make for a more pleasant day, AND everyone wants to be part of the “smile”

Yellow is a happy colour

Yellow makes me smile

Sunflowers, always seem to bring out the best in the day

Aside from running down the street

singing out, I’m so happy……

What is it we do to show the world we are happy?

When I think back on the day,

I don’t recall wanting to jump up at anytime

and shout, I’m happy.

Yet we grumble at the drop of a hat

or complain if something doesn’t go right

mutter our discontent,

How do you express your Happy!

St.John’s work (Hypericum) 5 yellow petals, is a perennial herb. It is believed to help with relief for overwhelming stress and negative feelings. It makes me happy just looking at it. Erect stems and trailing rhizomes. hmmmm share my happy?

When we smile and have a pleasant attitude, we encourage those around us to feel the joy and share in the positives in life.

Timing when taking a picture is everything – the photographer catches that moment in time, It is an artistic moment.

The light, the shadows, the focus and the intent, will be forever on display

there isn’t always someone

ready with a camera or lenses

to capture that moment for us

no matter

if we were part of that moment, the feelings, the emotion of that moment, live within in us forever

if we were the subject(s) our perception of that moment, will not be the same as the photographer’s

Yet it was together, that the moment was captured. There could not have been that moment without the collaboration or sharing of that space and time

Today I bow my head in prayer

that my day will be one of happiness and sharing

love/GOD is within me, in sharing

even if simply with a smile

that smile will spread for miles

for GOD is everywhere

and each moment lived

will be a blessing to be shared

in love and peace with all mankind.

gosh, you look like you could use a HUG

Actually I have friends that would be in utterly fantastic bliss to be out there on a beautiful day, sharing their off road experience with friends, and no they aren’t in need of a hug, they are having fun. Perspective.

Awwww now this is a true hug

wrapped in a warm embrace by a friend

relaxing and just sharing bonding time

What, no? Oh you have allergies, and you can’t be that close to an animal, dog, cat etc. So this wouldn’t be your idea of a nice happy moment…. ahhh…. Perspective

We are all unique in our own ways, and we each and everyone of us goes through life trying to understand our selves and the world around us. It is when we share our dreams and differences, that we learn about someone else, their culture, their world, in doing so, we broaden our own.

Please come by for tea, the door is always open, careful on the way over, it can get rather steep, but I’m always happy to meet and greet a friend, we can chat and exchange views (smiles), visiting and getting to know you, will be a very special kind of “hug”…sincere sharing/caring… is a hug in itself. warm fuzzy moment

A warm embrace, another warm body lying close beside you, their warmth and gentle breathing so calming. Oh.. so very nice.

I’ve noticed in the last many years, that a common farewell greeting ending a conversation, text especially will be to sign off with a hug. or xxoo I do it myself, sometimes without thinking

What does a hug imply. To me it implies affectionate, so a hug at the end of a text would (for me) be a way of saying “affectionately yours”

I realized this morning when ending a conversation with someone, that when that person used it when terminating our conversation, I was actually taken aback. Me who is a user of this expression.!! Wow…

Food for thought.. This person is rather new to my work world, and I know a much younger person. So now I am reviewing my use of the term, and will consider carefully how and when I use it. I think I do, but this morning’s experience has made me aware of something in my behaviour that could be easily “misconstrued” if I am cavalier in my use of the word. I believe that we should all do things with a prayerful mind, speak with sincerity. Live life with makoto (sincerity), and strive to build strong friendships and good vibes with all we encounter.

We are all unique in our personalities and character, some love to cuddle up close and personal, others may not feel that comfortable being so close. I like air climate control and the crispness of a fall day while someone else wants the warmth of the mid day sun on the hottest day before their purr engine starts.

‘Friends that get to know one another, really learn to care, in that caring, they find trust, and share common bonds The the hug is really and truly a warm and fuzzy moment. Not just a hug of passing strangers, like the European kiss on the cheek that was a custom, thing to do, and had nothing to do with warm and fuzzy.

mmmmmm I like hugs, not that I’m a hugger, but I do like the word because it does imply a deep affection. And so… after all of this… I say to you… I want to HUG YOU ALL.

A valentine

I passed a display of valentine cards today

“you make my heart sing and dance”

said a happy dog with a big smile on his face

“a valentine hug just for you”

a pretty blue bird chirped as it sang from a tree

The sentiments I saw today, were not like the ones of yesterday

when we wrote out a poem,

or picked carefully so that the card spoke what we couldn’t say

and of course, always we hoped there would be mail when we got home

Some for sure, were really corny

and some were just so darn mushy

but honey, you and I know,

that even though you said you didn’t care

if a valentine came your way or not

it meant a lot, when someone said they cared.

So guys and gals, you have plenty of time

to find a special card

that says, be my Valentine

Find one that is ” Eggzactly” right for that special friend or friends

and share a smile that will run for miles

saying simply, a heart/hug from me to you….

Love you, each and every one of you.

How are you today?

PL Precept #21 Live maintaining equilibrium between mind and matter…

This lovely picturesque grouping is of Giethoom in the Nederlands where there are no roads. It is a beautiful and quiet village unique in that you will not find a single road in the entire town. Instead it is connected with paths, bike trails and a canal system. Visitors are welcome to explore by renting a noiseless, electric “whisper boat”. I have been enchanted with the idea of visiting ever since I read about the place.

We all lead busy, at times hectic lives, and finding that quiet time we need so much often eludes us. We grab moments here and there, but often they just are not enough. In PL we have a Precept, # 5 that says.. One’s self is lost by being emotional.

The 21 PL Principles help us to achieve the 21 PL Precepts that we live by. Like everyone we struggle at the best of times to get then right, or to effortlessly follow them, but in following PL Principle #1 – I will live paying careful attention, putting Makoto into all I say and do (Makoto/sincerity) as best we can, dedication towards that goal helps enormously.

To be easy going, and to live life constantly in a cheerful and calm state is something to strive for. When I’m challenged, then I revisit the Holland of my dreams, and let my mind wander effortlessly through the gardens, and sail the waterways. Care to join me today? You are all so precious to me, I wish for you a glorious sun filled day , no matter where you are, no matter the weather, let the joy of life, bless you with a soothing balm of love. Thank you for sharing this moment with me, I really truly appreciate the time you spend with me. nb** there are many styles of Kokeshi dolls, you can spend endless hours researching and looking them up. They have been around for years and years. I’m not sure which I prefer most, the vintage, antique ones, or the more modern, Enjoy.

Good Morning… ahhh what to do today…..

shall we lie by the pool, or would you like to stroll the beach.

Look at the clear blue sky, not a cloud in view.

There is just a bit of a breeze,

can you feel and see it rustling the leaves.

Let us spend the day… me and you

even though we are miles apart

welcoming the day with an open heart.

We will each do our part

to cultivate and nurture family, friends and co-workers

so… that no matter where we are,

Share the Joy

I looked outside my kitchen window today and thought, wow there is a rabbit in the backyard. When I looked again, I saw that it was the way the leaves were showing against the snow and not a rabbit at all. Interesting how the mind can take an image and rearrange it in your brain.

Seeing a rabbit, even though it really wasn’t there, brought a smile, and a happy feeling. I thought of all the furry little wonders that friends have posted, that led me to think of the friends themselves and my sister who loves rabbits and that in turn made me feel even happier. Joy can come from anywhere at anytime, recognize it, and appreciate the moment.

A rabbit sees a treat and checks it out. Someone captured the moment, they managed a picture..and.. their sharing in turn brought a smile to others. that is what sharing joy is all about. When we are happy/ and smile it is contagious, pass it on.

Sorry my sense of humour at times has flaws.. but I thought that the person in the Nederlands had a moment of creativity here. This picture got a chuckle from me.. and a kudos to the artist for doing something other than a snowman.
